I went in with my boyfriend and asked for two basic pedicures. The two ladies were rude and dismissive. At the end which shouldve been $60-70 ended up being $85. I am not sure how the total went up by $25 but they didn't even do a clear coat on the pedi for my boyfriend. I do not like confrontation and tend to be a people pleaser so I said nothing about the price but I will not be coming here again, and why I gave such a small tip. not only did I not have a good experience the gals before us sat down for 30min under a uv light for their feet while the two ladies who took us back just kept telling them to let them dry. read more

The guy who did my nails was so rushed. My friends and I called in advance and booked an appointment. But he was doing everything so rushed and was rough with my hands. He did a decent job on my toes but will definitely not be coming back read more

Red Top Nails - Shellac manicure - Nail Salons Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

My gel manicure was very disappointing. The man who did my nails seemed as though he were rushing as fast as he could through the whole process. He made a deep cut in one of my cuticles which hurt quite a bit, and bled for a while. He did not apologize - or even clean the blood! In fact, there is blood mixed in with the gel polish on that finger! He also left polish all over the sides and pads of my fingers. I have attached a picture. It looks like a poor, rushed job, unevenly painted with bare edges and noticeable smudges on various fingers that he did not bother to correct. I had previously recommended this place to a friend. After this poor and unapologetic service, I will not be recommending this place again. read more

I only go to Red Top to get my nails done, and they've honestly spoiled me. Going anywhere else is just a disappointment. Their techs consistently do a great job, and even if I come in later than I should for a mani/pedi right before vacation, will stay a bit later to make sure I'm taken care of. They've got my loyalty. read more

Red Top Nails - Last minute white shellac mani. Amazing job! - Nail Salons Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

My friend recommended this place to me and I have been to Red Top 3 times (twice for shellac pedicures and once for a dip manicure) and all three visits have been amazing. Pedicures- My last shellac pedicure from Red Top lasted for 5 weeks. They still looked almost perfect (just grown out) when i went to get them redone. Dip Manicure- Yall. This is the BEST dip manicure I have ever had. I have been to many places around SA and the detail and time they put into my manicure paid off. They look flawless. Overall- They take their time and it shows. Don't go in expecting a quick 30 min pedicure, my pedicures have taken 2ish hours and my nails took over an hour. If you have an issue with that, then go somewhere else. I gladly will sit for a little longer than normal to have my nails look amazing and last a long time. The pricing is also super fair and on the lower side compared to other places I have been in town. I am SO happy to have found this place and am willing to drive a bit further and take more time to get my nails done at Red Top every time from now on. read more

I told them I had an interview on Monday and wanted a neutral color so they suggested shellac. Except he was super sloppy. And the girl that did my eyebrows berated me for how they were shaped even though I went there for my last wax too. ‍ They're fast, and they will work in walk-ins which is great but probably not worth the money. read more

Wow! what a relaxing, no rushed walkin visit. I left from Red Top Nails about 1 hour ago....They really took their time with me....this was my first visit. I am from Houston and found them on yelp. I live nearby, so decided to try them out. The woman that did my Pedi and Mani...did such a great job....It looks flawless! The prices are about the same as any other nail salon I've been to. But this one is very clean, organized....and in a good location! read more

I've seen this place before but had never gone. I decided to walk in on a Friday afternoon for a pedicure. I picked a color and waited less than 2 minutes to be seated at my pedi station. Kenney did a fantastic job on my pedicure that was long overdue. I opted for the Tropical Scrub $35 and it felt wonderful. There is a list of pedicures you can choose. My pink nails looked so great afterwards. Total time took about 1.5 hours. My tired feet were rejuvenated. This pedicure was what I needed. I will be coming back again. read more

Gotten today my underarms and legs waxed. Than a Pedicure. Kim is amazing and I for sure will go back

I have to admit I was weary of this place because of its location (I just don't really love any restaurants, salons, stores, or anything on Babcock usually), but I had a very nice experience. I got s pedicure with French tips (my go-to). It was $40 total ($35 for the pedicure, plus the standard $5 extra for the extra work of the French tips). This was a great price for a pedicure - it came with paraffin, a salt scrub, and a mask with a hot towel. They really took their time on each step so that I definitely felt like I got the most out of each step. I was pretty happy with the final product. All in all I was there for about an hour. Only 2 odd things: 1) they took a scrub brush they had used to brush the top of my feet to another person to use on her. Of course it had soap on it... But I was still extra cautious after I saw this. Luckily though they seemed to diligently clean the tubs, there wasn't dirt or dust anywhere, and the tools were opened fresh out of disposable wrapping from whatever service they use to clean the tools. And 2) the bags they used to put the paraffin on my feet were the fruit/veggie bags you get in the produce section at a grocery store. I'm not sure if these were taken from a grocery store or purchased by them lol. They didn't say HEB on them or anything. Overall seemed like a clean place though - not to mention that they had the door open which meant virtually no fumes inside, which was awesome. I came in right at 5pm btw and a few people came in after me. The last person or two ended up having to wait, but I got started immediately. Definitely will be back! read more

Always great service. I've never experienced any kind of prejudice. They are detailed and always do a great job. I come here for my pedicures. I've tried other places in the are and they didn't compare. I even referred a coworker and she now comes here. The place is clean and I always see them wash everything after they're done. The leg and foot massages are awesome. They take their time and always offer you something to drink. I always get my full set or fills done here as well and the price isn't too bad. I will never go to another place. This one has been great. read more

Okay so I got my nails done at red top nails on Saturday, 7/10/2021. I asked for an acrylic full set. For starters, the tech wouldn't allow the length I wanted, after the acrylic was Applied, I noticed the nails were flat/no apex making them more likely to break on the bed of the nail, secondly the shape of the nails on each hand are unsymmetrical, and to top it off, my set is now lifting. Today is Sunday, 7/11/2021, and every nail on my right hand is lifted and two nails on my left hand are lifted. Not good quality work. This is my second full set from red top nails, both done by different techs, but similar results. read more

I visits red top nails Tuesday (only 4 days ago!) and my shellac has completely peeled off. The nail tech who did my nails applied a very thick layer of gel polish on my nails (4-5 coats) and I've had shellac on my nails before, it seemed strange that so many layers were added, anyhow my nails looked bulky afterwards and now they're peeling. It also took a tremendous amount of time to get them done only to have them peel 4 days later (a huge corner started to lift and then cleanly came off) I paid $30 read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. When I got there staff automatically seemed like they didn't wanna do their jobs. I sat with my feet in the water 40 MINUTES BEFORE someone came and even started, I asked 3 times to make the water hot from sitting so long and when he did ONE time seemed just bothered by me asking. Then I asked for French tips and considering it's less nail polish they said extra $5 so I said no bc whatever I'll just find another place so then when it came to putting the hot towels on my legs one was hot and the other was warm. I know she felt the difference but cared less to change it. Then when I asked for a drink they said $5 or just kidding $2. Was not funny at all. So after she finished my toes she said sit here and I sat there for another 20 mins while she moved on to go do a set. Never got offered to move & go dry just told to sit there. I will never go again and I recommend the same for anyone else. The 2 friends I was with definitely experienced the same thing as me. NEVER AGAIN. Don't even waste time. Find another salon! It was a slow Tuesday afternoon and one would have expected the nail tech to be a little bit enthusiastic to have a customer. I have no problem paying money for a decent pedicure but this person's lack of effort made this a poor use of my time and money. Sloppy work, this was my first and last time at this place. My friends nails also messed up not even 10 mins after we left. Worst customer service and sloppy job I've seen so far. Also they carry acrylic and have it displayed with the price but told us they would not use it only Sola & charged extra for it!!!! Why carry it and have it posted on the wall then??? read more

Disgusting!!! I went with my friend and they cut all of her cuticles blood everywhere and then tried to dip it in the dip powder! I can't imagine what else they do there behind closed doors. Health Department needs to get this placed checked out read more

I walked in on a Saturday afternoon to treat myself. Luckily, there was no wait...until everyone and their entire families walked in. The techs told them there would be a 30 minute wait. My friend tells me a "30 minute wait" here usually means 90 minutes when they are that busy. Thao did my pedicure and she was skilled and very nice. I would recommend her! Vu (male nail tech) did a great job on my shellac nails. He put on 3 coats of polish without me asking. They use UV light to cure their shellac polish if you are interested. Overall, they were careful with my cuticles and the results were awesome. Try not to come here on the weekend. I'm not a fan of strong acrylic smells or acrylic dust flying in my face as the tech next to me is filing someone else's acrylic nails. I will have to come on a weekday afternoon when it is less busy next time and probably never again on a weekend. Current prices: $25 for shellac mani! $25 for regular pedi ($35 for pedi upgrade to include foot and leg scrub/massage, hot towels, paraffin wax on feet). read more

When I get my nails done, I always return to Red Top because I've never experienced a mediocre job. They are also very reasonably priced. The powder dip costs $35 (least expensive i've seen so far) and $27 for a (non fancy) pedicure. This trip did take me a few hours (the longest i've experienced), but I was okay with it because I needed to get my nails fixed. I waited close to an hour to be attended as it was very busy. (I got to the salon a little after 2pm.) I was greeted immediately upon entering. I received my pedicure first. The tech did attend another client while my toes were soaking in the nail polish remover, but I was completely okay with that since it was shellac. On to my nails! It took just a little over an hour for my manicure. The tech had to glue on an acrylic nail since half my nail broke off while I was on vacation. I don't mind the time because they always do a great job. I finally left the salon at 6pm. I'll be back in a few weeks for another mani/pedi! read more

Awful customer service!!! First time going and I was really excited that they had 4 1/2 & 5 stars! Made an appt and was quoted a price! Hidden gem!! This place is inexpensive. Staff is friendly. Went in with my family on a Saturday. I got a shellac manicure, my husband got a pedicure, and my daughter had her nails and toenails painted. We were there for 1 hour and we were all taken care of within that hour. The manicurist was in such a rush that he was hurting me the entire time. I got a French manicure with Shellac and the tips are covered with flaws. I'm really disappointed. I even commented on the air bubbles and rushed paint job. The man said it was fine. I also told him when I got there that is like my eyebrows waxed after my nails. Then when my nails where done he said he didn't have time for it. Luckily there was a sweet lady that overheard and took me back to wax my brows. I told her about my nails and she offered to fix them tomorrow but I was leaving town. I don't know if I'll be back, but if I do I know I'll ask for the woman manicurist. read more

I was very disappointed with my nail work today. This was my first time there. He over drilled my nails to the point they were burning. He left hardened nail power all over my fingers and over filed a few nails. A few look small while others look slightly larger. He was also rushing even though the salon was empty. Come to find out he was rushing to smoke a cigarette as my nails were still drying. Pedicure was decent. I will not be returning for future services. read more

Unfortunately, this location is extremely out dated with their equipment. The cleanliness was a concern once I walked in but I decided to give it a chance. I got a gel manicure today, at $27.00. To say it nicely this place has negative customer service. Came in here a week ago to get my nails done and opted to go w the dip.. normally I try to give myself an hour and the guy took over and hour and a half and the finished product was so bad my friend had to laugh ... the lady that did her nails (one of the 4) took my hand looked and said to come bk the following day to fix... I work during the days so only day I was able to come bk was the following Saturday.. been sitting here for an hour while 2 women talk and keep looking over .. I'd go somewhere else but need 2 nails fixed as they broke (crappy nail tech ) and need the powder to match . DO NOT COME HERE ! Zero stars read more

I am new to the area and was looking for a place for a pedicure. I highly recommend this place. It is clean, the tech did a great job, I didn't feel pressured to "upgrade" my pedicure, and there was no wait. I was able to go around 4, so I can imagine it gets busy after work hours. Prices are higher than I expected, but only by about $5 ($25 for standard pedi, I'm used to $20). It's also been a while since I've had a pedicure so it might just be inflation! I'll definitely be returning! read more
