This is the best nail salon I have EVER had my nails done at. The service at A&M nails is absolutely top notch. It is clean, and everyone is very pleasant. Hannah is meticulous over her work, and goes above and beyond every single time. I drive from over an hour away, but I'd drive 5x that for this level of quality work. I will quite literally never go anywhere else again. I made an appointment for a pedicure and a full set once my pedicure was completed I was asked it I liked it I simply pointed out that they were uneven and toe wasn't completely covered with polish. I figured she would just fix it as I said it nicely she walks off and a man comes by and tells me to leave since I don't like it. I was so shocked I have never in my life been treated that way they are horrible people and rude as ever. Today I called around 12 to book an appointment the girl said 2:30 was open, I got there on time only to wait an hour for them to seat a walk in , when I said I had an appointment an hour ago she told me I still had to wait longer. I found this place by Googling best rated nail shop nearby when I was at the car wash and decided to try it out on a late Saturday afternoon. It was a nice experience, the folks here were nice and respectful. I got a pedi and mani and got just as good a job as when I go to the mall or more expensive places. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends. I had a bad ingrown toenail bothering me all week I asked the technician to check on it and she cleaned it up and relieved the pressure for me. I am at work Monday morning and my feet feel great. Booked an appointment for 2 people. Ran 5 minutes late tops. The lady inside was extremely rude and had a seriously bad attitude from the moment we entered. There were about 3 other customers, with 3 nail techs. We stood in the waiting area minding our own business, and she screamed at us "SIT DOWN" and pointed to two chairs in the waiting area. We waited for 10 minutes, then politely asked her how long more and should we come back later? She raised her voice and said "YOU WERE LATE" as if we were being punished, all this in front of the other customers. We were too shocked to respond, and decided to leave quietly. Not worth the rude, unprofessional behaviour. There are much better, cheaper, and cleaner nail salons around the same area which we discovered after leaving, so should thank her for that. It's in the shopping center at Wurzbach and Fredericksburg - lots of parking. Run by a friendly couple who keep the shop spotless and offer a full range of services. I stumbled on this place because I was looking for a place that was OPEN on Sunday. The lady that greeted me at the door was very nice and pleasant. She gave me a beautiful pedicure. Just the right amount of talking not too much and not too little. She was very very nice. She offered me something to drink. Parking was right in front (on Sunday) and although the place is not super fancy the decor was a little to be desired - I am more than happy with the job on top of that the pricing was a little below average compared to other places I have been to in the past. I would recommend this place for those that are not incredibly picky about ambiance but more concerned about the final outcome of their pedicure. But the lower pricing makes up the difference for me. Let me also mention that all the instruments used were clean as they came out of pre- packaged pouches. They lined the tub with a disposable plastic wrap making me feel comfortable about not getting any type of fungus. I will defiantly be back. read more

She got up and tried to leave after having only three nails removed and they threatened to call the cops on her if she didn't pay for the full service. Owner Mimi over charged my service when I specifically asked for solar color tips which is 35. She insisted that she told me 40. The language barrier was a total excuse! But that wasn't even the worst of it. She put the wrong color on and proceeded to tell me that the color on the manikin nail was old and my nails would be pink in 2 weeks. (R u kidding me?) I even told her that the powders were mislabeled when,she started!!! Pink and orange aren't the same. I wasn't looking for a discount, just a "my mistake, I'll make a note,so it doesn't happen to the next customer"but I got neither. Instead SHE made a scene and charged me $40. Horrible service, and less than mediocre job. Glitter missing on parts of nails. Hard chunks under nails,bc she didn't buff under and gel top coat has bubbles. The pregnant lady who painted my nails seemed nice and did a good job on the polish, but she was not the one who started my manicure. The guy who put the false nails on and shaped them did a terrible job. They both held my hands straight out in front of me while I was looking at them, so I could not turn them sideways and get a good look. After I left the shop, I was able to get a good look at the acrylic job and it was not good. The nails were uneven in thickness and some of my nails were rounded on the top, while some were just straight and flat! It occurred to me quickly that that was why they held my hands while I was inspecting the nails. Also, the drill and files were not sterile as they should be...it is not clean to reuse the tools without sterilizing them and can lead to fungus and infections. Regardless of the decent polish job and nail art, I definitely won't be coming back. read more

Applying the wrong nail Polish is an easy fix but applying the wrong color acrylic powder is not. Especially when you've applied it to 2 customers who asked for completely different colors!
