Royal Chicken Kiev and Kulebiaka

I've had the pleasure of dining here 2 times and the food and service is phenomenal! Highly recommend dining here if you are lucky enough to get the opportunity!

Borscht - the best I've ever had. No kidding

Oh my God! This place has met all my expectations and more! The atmosphere, the vibe, the service, the food... - everything was top notch! The most amazing thing is that the owner Victoria cooks the signature Russian/Ukrainian dishes herself! She is originally from Ukraine. She shared some of those recipes she got from her grandmother. That definitely gave extra unique and exclusive touch to this place overall. Coming originally from ex-soviet country and being a Russian speaker - I had to try borscht. Oh my my my - that was THE BEST borscht I've ever had! I also loved pelmeni! My bf had beef stroganoff- sooooop good! Victoria is amazing, friendly and personable individual, she made sure we had great experience, guided us through the history of the place, the signature recipes they use for drinks and food. Speaking of drinks - they use the best quality vodka only for their delicious martinis! And let me tell you - the martini glass size is 7 oz! That's way more that the average 3 or 5 oz size cocktail anywhere else! And I can tell with 100% confidence - I've had the best chocolate martini I've ever tried! And i did try plenty in the best places in NYC back when I lived there. I also tried Bloody orange martini, my boyfriend had Rasputin - both were amazing! This is the place where you can't go wrong with any drink or dish. And that is the ONLY place with Russian/Ukrainian food in the whole Delaware! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! And will definitely come back again!

A Russia and Cuba fusion. Very tropical taste!

We were welcomed by the owner Victoria upon arrival. She explained in depth about the vodkas and martini choices. I Recommend all of them, but definitely try the special of the day. She helped with our menu selections and again explained each item before ordering. This is not just a restaurant. It's a dining experience! Our food was so flavorful and filling. We also had desserts with another round of martinis. We are already planning to return with friends. The owner is very passionate about her restaurant and it shows! Highly recommend eating here!

Small and intimate restaurant. We were greeted by the owner when we arrived and were seated. She explained vodka to us and we both ordered a drink, which were tastey! We ordered borscht, a smoked salmon appetizer, beef stroganoff and seared duck. The food was amazing! There was time in between the appetizers and the meal which was nice. We didn't feel rushed. We both left full and happy. The prices are high! 3 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees came to $195. But we like supporting local places. I would recommend this place highly!

I'm so glad we gave This Russian restaurant a try. The owner is very passionate about her restaurant, culture and food. Food was presented very well and recommendations were excellent choices. I loved my first caviar experience here ( not sushi grade) . They have the second highest collection of vodkas nationwide. They have vodka flights. Lots of martini options- more my cup of tea! And martinis were delicious we also had a delicious stroganoff with kasha dish, chicken kiev, and Napoleon for dessert. All were superb!

Great place, good food, wonderful staff. Really liked the Russian tea and Napoleon. The warm brie with crab was delish. I really liked the beef stroganoff. A bit pricey, but it really fits the decor, very Romanov.

Victoria taught Dave and I the art of eating caviar in 2017. We have been coming 2-3 times a year since

A special thank you to Peter "Pan" for making our night so memorable. Not only were the cocktails delicious, but watching him craft those amazing bourbon creations was an experience in itself. We will definitely be taking an Uber next time so we can fully indulge in even more of those exceptional bourbon cocktails! Thank you for a wonderful evening. We can't wait to come back!

**in response to the owners comment, we never met you. We didn't send food back nor did we request…read morenew food, and you, nor anyone else EVER brought me any additional drink on the house. I only had the one I paid for. There's no need to lie, bad days happen. This is not a speakeasy, this is a restaurant cosplaying as a speakeasy. That may be a bit harsh, it's a speakeasy in training. Sure, it's got all of the speakeasy decor, blackout curtains over the windows and doors, and a big selection of pedestrian liquor but it's not quite there. We went in on an early evening on Wed and there were maybe 5 other patrons in there. Our waitress was nice and brought us water to the high top. She brought us two food menus, and a specials menu. I asked for a bourbon list and she brought it; no prices on the list. Annoying. On the specials menu there was a small section of manager recommended drinks and one was a Willet. The way it was written was confusing because it said it was both a 4 year and 14 year for $52, so I asked for clarification on the age statement. She took the menu to the barkeep, who confirmed it was a 14 year so I said yes I'll have that. A drink was brought to me, but I could tell from the taste that it was not what I ordered. I asked the waitress for the bottle, she asked the guy behind the bar for the bottle and he pulled down a willet pot still bottle (pot still is the entry level Willet and at best a 5 dollar pour, no where near what I asked for). I told her that I was given the wrong drink, then she approached the bar and between her, and the male and female bartenders they had a weird back and forth conversation. Then, finally they pulled down the bottle that I asked for, that was advertised, and gave me a pour of it. I asked to see the bottle and the waitress brought it over but held it instead of putting it on the table (it was a 13 year Willet, Paper Trail). As we were about to order we were told that they reset the menu the very day before, with the focus of putting more love and care into the food. Feeling good about that, we ordered the French quarter catfish and the bourbon braised short ribs. The corn that came with the short ribs tasted straight out of a store bought steamable pouch, and the "ribs" weren't ribs at all, just sliced meat. The only redeemable thing about the catfish dish was the aioli; the rice had no flavor, the corn was cold and hard, and the catfish was mostly breading. We both took a few bites and resigned. I have been to many speakeasies around the US, and there are common themes: a much better selection of liquor; 95% of the bourbon were low tier bottles you can find in any liquor store for around $50. Also, when customers ask for the bottle, it isn't because we plan to steal it or drink from it, its because we're genuinely interested in the information on the labels. The quickest way to get people to stop spending money is to make them feel as if they can't be trusted touching a bottle. Perhaps it was an off day for the staff and this wasn't a typical experience, but I won't go back.

We had such a wonderful experience here, despite one unfortunate miss with one of our entrées…read more We arrived about an hour early for our reservation and were able to find seats at the bar while we waited. From the moment we walked in, the host and owner were incredibly welcoming and kind. We started with a Hefeweizen and a Cosmo. While the Cosmo wasn't anything particularly unusual, it was honestly perfection -- exactly how a good Cosmo should taste. Once we were seated, we were taken care of by two servers who were both so friendly, attentive, and conversational. We shared the buttermilk fried oysters to start, which were delicious -- and actually my first time trying a fried oyster! For dinner, we ordered the lobster spaghettini and the New Bedford scallops. Unfortunately, something about the lobster spaghettini was really off. I have NEVER sent a dish back at a restaurant, but neither of us could eat it. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was, but the flavor seemed to be coming from the breadcrumbs throughout the dish, which tasted extremely stale (not just toasted) or maybe just too much miso? That being said, the way it was handled could not have been better. The owner was incredibly gracious and accommodating and immediately offered to exchange my dish. I ordered the scallops instead, and they were absolutely delicious. Beautifully seared, and the accompaniments worked so well together. One bad dish could have easily soured the experience, but it genuinely didn't. Between the oysters, scallops, drinks, and especially the hospitality, there was far more to compliment than criticize. The staff made us feel so welcome, and I really appreciated how kindly the situation was handled. We would absolutely return and recommend this restaurant. Sometimes how a restaurant responds when something isn't perfect says just as much as what happens when everything is -- and they handled it wonderfully.

Place is definitely more on upscale side for a restaurant in a beach town…read more They being said the food and the price reflect That Went with the steak and lobster Full disclosure not really s seafood person But now I can see why people order lobster Roasted potatoes might be one of the best I've ever had same goes for the peppercorn sauce and those things I actually know something about Looking for a change of pace drift is a nice pledge to stop and staff was above attentive

Every single dish we ordered was outstanding, no exceptions. Each plate showed real care in preparation, with flavors that were bold, balanced, and memorable. It's rare for an entire meal to hit without a single weak note, but that's exactly what happened here. Only recommendation? Add more N/A options (less juice forward). Maybe a Phony Negroni or something. What stood out most was how the whole experience came together--great food, great service, and great atmosphere rarely align this seamlessly. Shorebreak isn't just a solid meal out; it's the kind of place you start planning your next visit to before you've even left. Highly, highly recommend.

Our favorite meal of the trip…read more Decor/service: cute place with a little outdoor sitting area. The tables are a little close together for my liking. The staff was friendly and service was quick Food: their menu has gluten allergens clearly labeled. we tried numerous appetizers including the crab soup special, fancy fries, deviled eggs, and brussel sprouts. The sprouts were our least favorite of them as they were way to light on the sauce. The other 3 were all very good and I think my wife died over the soup's flavor. The chorizo meatloaf had each component good tasting but when combined was great. The short rib entree was both beautiful and tasty!
