I came in here because I received a coupon for a BOGO of their philly steak. I had a great experience ordering from their kind associate. The food was ready as quoted in 15 minutes. I'm glad I came here. Also the restroom sign says out of order and the associate let me know it works just fine. Phew

Great food with good price and its Halal, quick service, lot of people buy from here locals

This was the worst chicken Philly ever!! Not very much seasoning, bland!! Don't Do It!!

    Did management change?

Yes. They've been updating the restaurant, service and slightly more options to eat. It's a great place for a quick bite, to go or dine in. Huge variety to choose from and will always hit the spot!

I've spent a lot of time in Philadelphia and have had many cheesesteaks, so I'm well versed on what…read morea good Philly Cheesesteak should taste like. The quality of the steak and the hoagie roll (has to be fresh and from Philadelphia) being of utmost importance. The first time I had a Charley's cheesesteak (Rosemont Outlet mall location), was due to a recommendation from someone. I'm always hesitant about getting cheesesteaks from random places, because they're just not good. I got the chicken cheesesteak and to my surprise, it was tasty. The chicken was seasoned, bread was good and the fries were crispy. On this particular occasion, I visited the Charley's located on 47th street, in the Lake Park Plaza Shopping Center. This is a strip mall location with other eateries and a laundromat. While there's parking, it can sometimes get crowded, and is always filled with cars. Upon entering, there are a few tables, but the space really isn't setup for dining in . On this occasion I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, fries and a peach lemonade. I do suggest ordering on the mobile app to save time. The mobile app also offers coupons and points earned for purchases made. (A few weeks prior I had a free drink on my account for my birthday. I went in store to order, and had to go back and forth with the counter attendant about if the drink was for a lemonade or a milk shake, as I wanted a milk shake. It was for both, but I wanted a milk shake. All of this would've been avoided if I had ordered online. I hate going back and forth with people, which is why I prefer ordering fast food online- so I don't have to deal with people- but I digress). I had ordered online so didn't have much interaction with the counter attendants, on this occasion. However, my interaction with them was pleasant. The cheesesteaks are pretty good, nice serving size with portions that leave you full. I've also ordered boneless chicken wings in the past, and they, too, were tasty. My favorite cheesesteak on the planet is Max's in North Philadelphia. But when in Chicago, Charley's is my go to for a cheesesteak in the city, for the meantime.

We split the large old School Philly sandwich and a special Kimchi version. I like that they change it up with different flavors. We didn't get any sides or fries with it. The bread is nicely seasoned and toasty, not hard, and the meat and cheese were tasty. We did carryout, they do not have much in the way of dine in. I saw some juices and ice cream, which I will def try when it's warmer out. The staff was professional and friendly. I think there is a tv in there, as it is a 10 or so minute wait for each order. They are in a mini mall so one could wander around, but next time I will order online.

It had homemade croutons and sides of bread. Got a slice of the carrot cake and it was very moist. Not too sweet with cream cheese frosting. Raisins included, if that matters to you. We got the garlic chicken on French baguette. It was a creamy base and not something I would buy again. Glad we added cheese because there wasn't much to it. the other sandwich we bought was avocado turkey on Dutch crunch. It unfortunately had enough mayo to drown the restaurant. The amount of meat left much to be desired. We asked for chips which they had but only for online orders that came in. ??? Doesn't make sense to me. For 2 Sammie's, a salad and cake it was $45, just for a gauge of prices. The cashier was on the phone the entire time and couldn't hear what we said because of that. Kinda acted inconvenienced we were talking while he was on the phone. The restaurant is pretty chill and seemed like a workspace for people with art on the walls for sale. The art also had a thick layer of dust, and overall the dining room could use a good deep clean. The bathroom cleanliness was decent. This probably won't be another place I would seek out in the future.

This time at the 10 minute mark, there were still two cars in front of me which took another 6 minutes to get to the order sign. Sat there for another minute for the girl to take my order. Surprisingly they had what I wanted because usually they are always out of something or it's a 15 minute wait on chicken to be cooked. Multiple times I've waited in line and pulled out and went somewhere else because of the excessive long wait. The signs are all messed up(been like that for a while) See pics. Workers always have an attitude or mad about something(probably working conditions). So now I gotta get home (5 minute drive) to see whats in my surprise box. Well I'm really not surprised to get old or over cooked chicken.(See pic). It doesn't look like the commercial that's for damn sure. I'm never big on closing any establishment in my neighborhood especially predominately African American neighborhoods but this place needs to be shut-down/sold to a valid franchise owner who cares about their business and the community it services. This is not the case here. For the record I used to work at the Popeyes on 75th and Stony in the early 80's. I know what it's supposed to look like and how to treat customers. We took pride in what we did back then. Again shame on the owners.
