I had my eyebrows done By Shah - everything in the beginning was fine until I reached out and told her I had some concerns with my eyebrows. I asked if we could wait the six weeks and I could come back in and she could fix my eyebrows. Thats when everything changed - she told be that she fixed by " shitty eyebrows" and she is an artist and did not want to correct the problem. A review of Microblading, Brow Tinting and Waxing Services in 2021. MICROBLADING (3D) I've received so many compliments on my brows and for good reason. Shah does great work. Case and point, today I went in for my touch up because it's expected at the six week mark, but I was rather satisfied with the appearance before doing so. There was very little fading despite my decision to use dark brown over black. Shah, really went out of her way to make sure I was pleasures with the shape, thickness and color selection. In terms of pain, IMO, it feels like lots of paper cuts even after numbing cream is applied. Outside of that, it's a breeze. Until you're in the 7-10 day healing stage where you question why did you do it and obsess over how it looks to others. Scabbing was minimal for me but trying to avoid any moisture in the area when you exercise, garden and wash your face for 9 days while it's healing was the biggest pain. But, in my book, it was so worth the temporary adjustment esp if it means spending less time filling in curly widely spread brows daily! (WFH during the healing process certainly helped with appearance concerns). The hardest decision I had to make was boxy or rounded. Shah's every day price is so low you'd question whether it's a novice but the same can be said about waxing services. RS is priced right. My only feedback and wish list for this service would be for a half sheet of paper with after care instructions or something displayed on the website. I personally couldn't remember the # of days to avoid moisture and apply ointment or how much ointment to apply (dab, pea size). WAXING I love Aanum. She's funny, accommodating, candid and quick. Brazilians are $35, brows are $8, but if you get Microblading done there, it's $5. If you're one who is generally early for appointments, Aanum is great about giving you the option to come in slightly earlier. I've taken her up a time or two and was even able to squeeze in an extra service by doing so. BROW TINTING I've only had tinting done one other place (MADD LOVE in Forest Park) and my experience fell short when compared to there but my brows without question looked better than they did when I entered. But for Microblading, I would've returned to my go to for tinting which wasn't my preference because I was in search for one stop shopping.Thankfully, Microblading has remedied this issue for me. I have waited over a year to post this update. Getting general spa services here is fine. My issue was with the microblading experience. I am not sure who the microblading person is (I think Shah), but this is my advice: If you have NO eyebrows, or eyebrows that are barely there due to alopecia, then be very cautious. My experience may have been unique and I hope so. But she did NOT listen to me, she did NOT use my drawn on brows as a template, and she could not even see the flaws in the asymetrical nature of the two brows that she created. I have lived with uneven brows now for over a year now, and while I try to use the microbladed brow lines as the guide to finish drawing in my brows, I have to correct the height of the arches, the placement of the arches, the curve of the inside part of the brows, etc. Every day I regret having this procedure done. I only went for the initial treatment, and did not return for the second treatment although I did pay for it. Honestly, I was so disappointed with the results (while still in the spa) that I went home and intentionally got them wet and tried to wash them off. They did peel but the ink is still there a bit. Being as I came in with my brows drawn on perfectly, she should have taken a photo of my brows - but she just wiped them off. Then she tried to use a pencil to draw horrible brows using a compass. What she intended to do truly scared me. My brows have always been thin and well-shaped. The brows she wanted to give me did not even match the natural contour of my brows. I once had my brows tatooed by a man who was renouned for his ability to draw brows and tatoo them. I was utterly happy with his work (he was from California). The tatooed brows only lasted a few years and then I was back to drawing them on again. I was impressed with the concept of microblading and I still am. I just need to find someone who can DRAW on brows and then microblade over them accurately. I think getting someone who can draw and create beautiful brows is a bit of a crap shoot. I sent my mom here for Microblading, as it has been awhile since she first got them done while visiting me in San Diego and needed someone local. She has MS so she has lost all of her eyebrow hair, and her skin didn't take well to the old ink so it turned very brassy colored. Shah is an absolute artist! Worst experience ever!!! I had microblading by Shah and she had to deal with the worst customer she has ever had but if she would not have decided on her own without explaining to me how she was "reshaping my eyebrow for my face" and shave off part of my existing eyebrows I would have said I did not want that. The shape that I was born with was just fine, I just wanted them filled in. I Could go into a lot more detail but I won't. Basically I complained and said to never come back. Made an appointment to get my eyebrows threaded at red scissors two days before my wedding after reading what sounded like many good reviews on Yelp. I showed up to my appointment to find the doors locked and salon closed. I called to find out if maybe they were just on lunch. But I was told that she was sick and not feeling well so didn't come in that day. I was in total disbelief at the unprofessionalism. Obviously I understand that people get sick and especially during a pandemic I appreciate that people do not just show up to work when not feeling well. Not happy with the end results of my brows. They need to be redone and I don't have time for this. Also, the establishment does not wear proper face masks, they wear these extremely tiny mouth shields. So expect to be breathed on, while they work right in your face! Arrived for my 12pm appointment at 11:50am and sat in the waiting room. I was not greeted by anyone at the desk and another potential client left since no one came to greet us. After about 20 minutes the owner came to the front and asked what brought me into the salon. I let her know I had an appointment for a Brazilian wax. She told me that the women who was doing my wax was stuck in traffic. She mentioned that it would be another 25 minutes until she could help me. I was disappointed that she didn't just offer to do my Brazilian wax she wasn't with another client at the time. The women who was late didn't show up until 12:45pm. I would have left and went to a different salon, but I had a Groupon that I wanted to use. I will not be recommending this salon even though she did a good job on the wax. Overall my microbladed eyebrows look pretty good. But I have to say the tail end of the process was a total doozy. Shah, the lady who did my eyebrows is also the owner of the place has no problem hanging up on her customer. Inspite of the fact that she left gaps in my eyebrows, I tried to tell her at the touch up session, but she wouldn't listen to me, saying her work is very thorough and the original work and the touch up both should take care of any gaps. Well it didn't! I sent her photos and then called her, asking her to fix the gaps...she hung up on me and told me never to come to her salon again! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS PLACE HAS!!! I was very disappointed with their service. I got my eyelashes done by Aanum and I experienced an eye irritation the day of. When I approved her with the problem, her "solution" was to completely remove the eyelashes and keep my money. Nor her or Shah (the owner) were willing to work with me and buy a new glue. The poor quality products they used didn't work for my eyes, but they didn't care about the customer satisfaction rather just the money they were making. I wouldn't recommend this place because they are very stingy and not trustworthy people. Even after I had brought four customers to their business to help them out, they weren't willing to help me in this situation. Since it's not letting me reply to that comment, I guess I'll just add on to this since it's necessary. I noticed that you keep saying "for free" like it's a charity or act of kindness when in all honesty it's more of an obligation that you had to do. You were the one that didn't do a great job with the lashes, and you're the one who is supposed to fix it. I offered you money and you said no. I wasn't coming there to steal anything from you, I simply came back for you to fix the job you started. I didn't go out the day after, I actually let them dry for 48 hours the first time you did them. I didn't reach out to you because I felt bad since you legit begged me to come to you and I didn't want for you to feel like you didn't do a good job. I did my eyelashes with you guys first, clearly with someone who worked there so I don't understand what the comment about "getting them done elsewhere for a year" means. She was your employee and you clearly told me you were the one that taught her everything..Very contradicting. And the comment about me talking too much? The one reason I was talking was because you were interested to know what was going on and asked question. So maybe next time you shouldn't be talkative since you're going to make the client seem like they're desperate to talk to you. One last thing, I didn't say "better" products.
