Omg so good
J D.

So delicious and the staff was so attentive ! We will definitely be back. Great neighborhood restaurant!

Great pizza and salad.

The pizza is great and I loved my salad. I had the mushroom pizza, so delicious. The guys working there are very nice.

Can't remember the name of the special, but it was lemony, herbal, and delicious.

The pizza and Cesar sale were both excellent. I thought the crust has really good texture and flavor with the right amount of chew. What really solidifies this as a five star joint is the soft serve. It's so creamy and delicious! The service was fast and friendly. The staff were really nice to my young daughters and had coloring sheet for them.

Good pizza in a nice part of Portland. The crust is chewy and sauce is very tasty. They have vegan cheese options so that's a big plus. Service was good and everything is casual in a funky atmosphere that's fun to be in. They do automatically charge a 20 percent tip for service. I didn't catch that going in but they do have a sign on the outside. My only complaint is that they barely put any sausage as a topping and they didn't use fresh garlic as a topping. It was powder. Overall great pizza place. I would go back.

Really good pizza, great flavors, lovely red sauce. I was very disappointed that they don't do slices and only do half and half on the large pizzas with the same sauce base. I would have loved to try their mushroom pizza, but I'm glad I tried the one with the red sauce since it's in the name. A couple things that did bother me are the fact that even with a light char, about 1/2 of the crust was burnt, and they charge 20% gratuity for pickup orders (and it's not that cheap of a pizza in the first place). Totally love supporting service staff with tips, but a mandatory 20% for just handing you a box seems a little odd. Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 4/5

Pizza week: Cheese, pickle chips, and fried chicken tenders tossed in a spicy house Nashville hot sauce and honey.

We decided to try the Pizza Week special. When we arrived, we were instantly told in an unkind and annoyed manner that we needed to call ahead for bigger groups and we couldn't be seated. It was a very abrupt response and we could have been ordering takeout. We placed an order for a whole pie and were told to wait outside. Seemed a little weird but there were many open tables but everyone seated were caucasian customers. We were a group of POC. Pizza lacked the ingredients, barely any chicken, all pickle chips. Also, they charge automatic 20% gratuity, also for take out orders. I don't support places that do that because gratuity should be earned not forced. And come on.. this is take out.

When I order I go in person because I have special requests of extra sauce, etc and everyone who leaves this amazing restaurant always raves about it to the staff upon leaving. The best part though is just how NICE they ALL are! I fly from LA just to come get pizza and some to take back. The crust is perfect chewiness and perfection with the right amount of airy and right about of thin and the sauce is amazing! You will NOT be disappointed! They also fulfill my special requests with ease and a smile! I have told thousands of flight crew about this place as it's right around the corner from our layover hotel. I bid this layover ONLY to get pizza. Yes, I gave up a Hawaii, Cancun and Costa Rica trip for this layover for Mucca Pizza, so that should say it all! New York and Chicago are still trying to catch up. But we are in the Pacific Northwest, nowhere near Loui's Pizza or Buddy's Pizza (Detroit pizza staples). So many times, what tries to pass off as "Detroit style" falls miles short. Then came "Ranch" where I stood outside and screwed up enough courage to try yet another Detroit style pizza. The interior was small, one wall lined with tomato sauce cans, the menu was bolted to a wall. The smell took me back and that gave me some hope. The pizza arrived at the table, the wife and I have varied tastes so we each ordered a quarter pizza. Mine was pepperoni, the wife had a veggie. The pizzas looked right, square, caramelized crispy edges, heavy toppings... and then on the side of the plate was this cup of ranch dressing. Duh! "Ranch" obviously has to have a good ranch, right? I dipped my pinky finger in the ranch and took a taste. You would not think one ranch can be so far ahead of the others, but ranch is the place for ranch, as well as pizza. My first bite brought a smile to my face, it was just, right in every way that a Detroit pie should be. I have been back to try their #4 pie with sausage and ricotta, and I am looking forward to more trips. If all that was not enough, the service was friendly, the food came out so quick (about 10 minutes) and the place was nice and clean.

Super fast service and super yummy food…read more I always get their #4 because it's so good. It has Italian sausage, red sauce, calabrian chiles, mozzarella, and ricotta on top. A slice of that dipped in their ranch (they give a side of ranch for all pizza orders) is heavenly. Their ranch is actually the best ranch I have ever had. I wish they sold bottles of it so I can have it at home. They also have seasonal specials, like their pickle pizza with hot honey, or the french onion soup pizza (so good). I would recommend doing takeout as there is limited seating.

If you're in or planning to be in Portland, Oregon, I respectfully and enthusiastically recommend you include Pizza Kat in your considered alternatives. A thin, flexible, and tasty-all-by-itself crust. Tomato sauce that adroitly walks the lines between sweet and acidic, and between supporting the other elements well, fading into obscurity, and overwhelming those other elements. The right amounts of the right cheeses. And fresh, tasty toppings. (Sweet Italian sausage not dominated by garlic and mushrooms worth eating on their own, for two delicious examples.) Even better, prices are reasonable, and delivery is available. We had some delivered to our hotel, and it arrived almost as hot and tasty as we would have expected were we at a table near the ovens. There are other pizzas worth eating -- including the thicker-crust "deep cut" slices available before and after select shows at Revolution Hall. But when you want the thin-crust version done right, Pizza Kat will leave your taste buds and tummy purring, without clawing the life out of your wallet.

The crust needs to be thick but light and airy in the inside, with a crispy, greasy bottom pocked with air holes. The bottom of this crust was smooth, which probably limits how much oil they can use. The sauce was way too thick (about 3/8") and extremely salty. The cheese and pepperoni were ok. Quality of ingredients was good. Overall the pizza was just average, and I would have preferred Jet's. Price was good and 1 pepperoni slice is a meal. I ordered 2 slices and did not finish the second. (For comparison, 2 slices of Buddy's is a meal but I end up eating a 4 square.) Slices are available at the counter (and a few stools if you're just having a quick lunch) all day.
