Red Sake - Sushi Bars Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

OVERPRICED. I've never paid $9.50 for a yellowtail roll in my life!! This place is so expensive and the maki rolls are some of the smallest I've ever seen. The quality was average - but nowhere near where it should be for some of these menu prices. I sadly won't be back. read more

First time for dinner! Food was good. Tasted very fresh - we had a bit of everything, rolls, sashimi, cooked food. Decent service - she knocked over my cup of sake and didn't even acknowledge nor replace. Not cool. But it was a comfortable atmosphere and could see this being a fun place for dinner in nice weather. read more

I was so excited to check out @redsakenc since I'm rarely in that part of town . The drinks were delightful and the sushi was delectable. Food : Crab Rangoon Philly Roll Miso soup Drink : Lychee Martini Bahama Momma Location 8410 Rea Rd Suite 100 Charlotte, NC 28277 United States read more

I've been here so many times and satisfied with food and service every time, I like to try different dishes and cocktails, strongly recommend their mojito, taste so fresh and not too sweet, and their cold appetizers like Aburi salmon and tuna taco are pretty good, surf Island salads is my favorite recently! read more

We ordered the sashimi & sushi platter, among other items. The sashimi tasted fresh; the sushi was tasty & shoyu not needed; the salmon skin hand roll was delish; & the lychee martini was yummy. read more

Good sushi and very polite attentive service. Recommend the Red Sake roll. Only critique is the music was pretty loud in there for lunch time. read more

I don't even know where to begin... So I have always heard good things about this restaurant, I never expected it to be THIS good We ordered rainbow roll sushi, sesame wok, calamari, and crab Rangoon We ordered it for to go over the phone and they were super nice and it took 35 minutes for them to have it ready for us to pick up (in my opinion that's super fast especially during dinner rush) We got it home and the presentation was beautiful, I wasn't expecting it to look so good when we had it ordered to go. Absolutely delicious, my boyfriend was dumbfounded and so was I. I would give this place 10 stars if I could, this will be our to go Asian restaurant forever, HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

If I could give this place more than five stars I definitely would. This was absolutely delicious. Honestly, the best sushi that I have had since I moved to Charlotte. It was so fresh and the portions where is incredible. The staff was super friendly and the place it's self has a very calm and chill vibe to it. I came on Monday where they have the $10 specialty rolls. I almost have the whole menu. Every single thing I ate here was insanely good. The only thing I would say is that I wish they had a bigger variety when it comes to their desserts. They only had two options and since I am not a fruit lover, dessert was not an option for me. But who cares, I can always go get some dessert somewhere else. I highly recommend this place. Five stars all the way read more

What a wonderful meal we had at Red Sake! The restaurant is really cool and that perfect blend of not too quiet but not too loud which is great for having a meal and conversation with friends. There were four of us in our party so we were able to try many things. We started with a variety of apps (calamari, gyoza and hamachi) all of which were good. We then each selected a couple of sushi rolls each and none disappointed at all. The rolls were so good that we decided to have another couple of rolls to end the evenings feast. Each roll looked and tasted great. Can't wait to go back! read more

I don't eat seafood but my husband loves sushi and really wanted some one night so I checked on Yelp to find a good place nearby that had sushi but also a good amount of other non seafood items for me. Red Sake seemed to be just the place. The restaurant was very nice and had excellent service. My husband said that the sushi rolls were good. Not the best he has ever had but good. Since I don't know sushi I don't remember what items he got but he had 3 different ones. We also started with an order of pork gyoza which was good. I ordered the tangerine chicken and it was excellent. There was a strong tangerine flavor but not too overpowering like sometimes citrus items can be. read more

the sushi here is always top quality/fresh and they have really good miso soup! not watered down at all.

The pad Thai was so bad. No taste besides gritty noodles. Too expensive for lack of taste. On the bright side, the peanut avocado sushi was delicious! read more

I ordered the veg. Pad Thai , It had noodle and eggs . that was it. Serves was not great.

Excellent quality food and great service. Especially love Spicy Thai Curry. Great cocktails too. Highly recommend!

Super expensive for minute portion sizes. I laughed out loud when I opened my order it is a joke to charge this much for what looks like a Twix bar sized roll. Tastes and as supermarket sushi too. Just bad. read more

I have eaten here 3 times and I have tried something new every time. The customer service is always nice and the food is equally as good. Mask are required and customers and staff seem to adhere to that as well as social distance the seating. I have only been for dinner though. read more

Came for the first time tonight and had an amazing meal. The fish is so fresh, tasty and literally melts in your mouth. The tuna tacos were to die for, we had to get a second round because they were so delish! The yellowtail nigiri was fantastic. Their nigiri is served w warm rice which is my preferred way. Everything we ate was a+++. Good service, great layout and atmosphere. My only grievance is their beverages. Doesn't look like they have a beverage fountain as our club sodas came in small airplane sized bottles. When we switched to regular water it tasted unfiltered and kinda gross tbh for the tier of restaurant but hey- as long as the foods good im happy. read more

Best Sushi in the area, really good and consistent. Great staff! We come here often and won't stop!

$16 for a sushi roll the size of my small hand is actually crazy. For a roll that high priced I expect more product. Had to order a second dinner after. Disappointing read more

A good place. The food is made with fresh ingredients and is quite tasty. When you order rolls, you can choose miso soup for free and, unfortunately, it differs from the paid one. I didn't like that when you turn on the tap in the restroom, it's very poorly fixed and requires maintenance. I think we will come back here and see the changes. Thank you for the food. read more

Literally could not have been more bland. Small portions, big prices. I didn't try the sushi, maybe that's better than their other meals but with what I experienced I wouldn't want to try it. I'm not joking or exaggerating when I say my food tasted like it came to them frozen and they threw it in the microwave for 4 minutes then charged me $15 for it. The sauce could have been water with food coloring and corn starch - it was that bland. PF Chang's has a great frozen meal you can get from target - and they actually have seasoning; save yourself the time and money; absolutely nothing authentic about this place. Feels like any other generic copy/paste Asian restaurant, but without the good food. Oh they also double charged me so I had to dispute it with my bank. Fun times. read more

Fish is so fresh that it melts in your mouth. Beautiful presentation. We dug in before I took the photos. We just couldn't wait to try the Sushi. Next, we had to have the Chicken Lettuce wraps once we saw it delivered to the table next to us. Packed at 7 pm on a Wednesday night. Not easy to find on Rea Road. Easier to enter from Elm Road and worth the effort. We will be back again and again. Best Sushi in Charlotte. read more

Busy on the weekends but worth the wait. Good food and atmosphere. Sushi is excellent

The meal was overpriced. Yes, it was fresh and tasty, but I think the prices are so high because it's the only sushi bar nearby.

Ordered delivery on a weeknight for dinner. Tried different rolls and nigiri. I thought the basic rolls were very good and the fish flavorful. The specialty rolls to me were overpriced and the fish flavor was overtaken by the sauces used on the roll. The nigiri was my favorite part of the order. Very fresh and flavorful fish. Will order again but next time will skip the specialty rolls and just order nigiri and basic rolls. Look forward to trying in person. read more

Would love to tell you how this place is, but they are clearly willing to turn down potential business and choose to not accommodate parties of 5 or less ahead of time.
