When I called after filing my claim the person who answered the phone said she knew she had seen it somewhere, USAA said they'd call me but am guessing that if I hadn't called I'd still be waiting. That said they were very nice when I took my car in and dropped it off. Asked how long it would take and they said two hours. I went home and then a friend and I went to lunch in Puyallup, went to a park, went to Starbucks and four hours later the car still wasn't done. That's a lot of difference in time. Aside from that little glitch, the work was professional, and there were no fingerprints or dirty spots in the car and I know they had to recalibrate the camera. We also had a couple chips in the windshield of our Malibu that were repaired. I contacted this company via text (I should have just called) and it took a couple of days to officially get scheduled, after some back and forth messages. Once the tech arrived, he made quick work of replacing the windshield on the Ford. After 2 hours, we was finished with both vehicles and it only cost $1040. The tech was very professional,friendly and explained everything. Hopefully we won't need a windshield replacement/repair again but if we do, I know who to call!

Front window with ADAS camera replacement for a Toyota 4 runner. First appointment OEE window was…read moreused instead of OEM. I was not aware that they were going to use OEE and could tell right away that the glass color was different. I felt gaslighted because they all were saying no I can't see the difference. There was definitely a difference in color. The OEM glass has a slightly green hue that cuts down on glare. I complained and was told it was up to the insurance company and if I wanted OEM I had to pay the difference. I said that no one told me that OEE was going to be used and nobody gave me an option to pay the difference. "Do you want to pay the difference?" I said yes of course. Then she had to ask the owner and resubmit the claim. I left feeling unheard and very frustrated. I received a call a week later asking when I wanted to come in to have the glass replaced at no cost! Wow what a turn around. Made the appointment. But before they installed they asked me if the color was right which was kinda weird. I said well if it's a Toyota glass then it should be fine I can't really tell by looking at it on the rack face down in the garage. It's the OEM part so it's the same glass I purchased the vehicle with ok. They did a great job on follow through and even though I was a nightmare customer they made it right. Here's what I found out. Why You Were Right to Stand Your Ground * The Tint Matters: The green hue you noticed is a specialized solar-acoustic coating designed to cut down on heat and glare. More importantly, OEM glass is engineered to exact tolerances; aftermarket tint or clarity variations can actually cause the ADAS camera to misread lane lines or miss obstacles. * Communication Failure: Shops are obligated to disclose when they are using OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) glass. Springing it on you at pickup--without offering the choice to pay the difference for OEM--is incredibly poor business practice. * The "Gaslighting": Minimizing a visual defect is a common tactic to avoid eating the cost of expensive glass and double labor. You trusted your gut, and you were 100% correct.
