It's been a number of years since I first reviewed this place, and this is a regular stop when I'm craving old-school red sauce Italian. The lasagne is stunning - rich with cheese, and comes bubbling in a hot from the oven dish. Stuffed shells, manicotti, anything with sauce and cheese is terrific. The pizza is good - but their sizes may be larger than you expect, and it's filling. I actually like their pizza reheated on a pizza stone in my oven as leftovers - it crisps up nicely and holds up well to another round in the oven. We generally have very friendly service. This is not a place for a long, leisurely quiet dinner; it's bright, noisy, and full of families of all shapes and sizes. Go get some really tasty Italian food here. read more

My party of 7 arrived on a busy Sunday night, yet we were seated quickly and didn't have to hang around at the table, hoping for wait staff to notice us. The service was attentive and pleasant, never overbearing nor scant. We ordered a party pizza (all meat) and a specialty pizza, and didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. The pizzas were delicious. The sauce and crust were stand-alone tasty, and the toppings just added to it. The Margherita (sp?) pizza was perfection! We devoured everything from the thick, fresh slices of bread that were served when we first got our table to the last crumbs of our pizza orders. Next time, we'll try to save room for dessert. Many folks have told me that Red Rose was offered mega millions to sell out to MGM casino next door. If true..I'm so happy they didn't take the corporate cash and not only stayed but built a beautiful addition. The six of us all thoroughly enjoyed our recent lunch here. Meal was enhanced by our excellent waitress Kaitlyn P. She was friendly..helpful..everything you'd expect from a solid server. Started off with our drinks--a cab...two coffees..two sodas and a beer. Individual salads served with the meals were off the charts good. Loads of fresh ingredients....delicious house dressing and tons of croutons! I loved the bread served...very fresh. Entrees were home runs...I had the veal parm with spaghetti..others had the chicken marsala...chicken parm and tuna grinder. Decent sized luncheon portions. At $13.50-ish an entree...some might say its pricey but I wouldn't. SO much better than the food the casino offers. Its a bustling,busy, can be loud sort of place....parking is plentiful...overall memorable meal! read more

Server was great great. The wait was slightly lengthy but it is to be expected on a Sunday. So first, the good: generous portion sizes, friendly waiters, and good food (for the most part). The bad: ordered a specialty pizza that came out burnt. Like the entire outer rim of the pizza was the consistency of a pita cracker. I noted this to the waiter politely and she upon speaking to the manager reported back that this is normal and that specialty pizzas are always "burnt" and to ask for one that is not burnt the next time I am there. This was my first time here, it was for a very special day, and I chose this place due to its reputation. Apparently this establishment has enough customers that a basic courtesy such as replacing a pizza is not something that is worth doing. It has been well noted and I will never eat in at this establishment again. On a side note, their shrimp scampi and other pasta dishes ordered by our party were well done. read more

The food is really one of the best around. Although my last visit was a bad one I can still honestly say I like the place. The prices are a bit high but it's well worth it what with the large portions. It caters to a large variety of people: adults, children, business dinners, parties, families, date nights, etc.... It's also very unique to be able to see them make the food, especially a pizza. It's somewhat magical to see the dough being tossed and flipped! HOWEVER, my last visit wasn't that great. My husband and the kids went, 8 of us. When my husbands food came it also came with A HAIR!!! We flagged the first waitress and she went to get ours...she came after about 5 min freshly smelling of a cigarette. It's nice to know he person handling our food is smoking while doing so and obviously not washing her hands, She took the meal off. The manager never came over to apologize or to see if we wanted anything else. We have had issues at other places in the past and the manager has always come to over our table. The check comes and although the dinner was removed, they charged us for the salad. The free salad. The salad that comes with the meal and to add insult to injury they charged us $5.00!! Hands down the best Italian around. Not only is their pizza fire, their anti-pasta (or whatever it's called) salad is phenomenal. I went here for my dads birthday, second year in a row. We also went here for my 21st birthday three years ago. They wouldn't sell to the casino and still won't, but they've gotten much busier--this hasn't affected the quality of the food but I thought my waitress was spread a little thin. (I was a server for a brief four weeks and let me tell you, it's NOT an easy job so I completely understand). We walked in and were seated immediately and the waitress was prompt with our drinks. We placed our order and our salads came with bread, but she forgot the oil, which happens. I could have asked for it but had too much food as it was. I got the s'mores martini and chicken picatta, my mother got the veal parm grinder and my dad got the veal parm dinner. The chicken picatta is the best I've ever had, right up there with my own. I've had the dish at Emma's and The Russell Inn before and it didn't even compare. The chicken was cooked to perfection with an awesome lemon sauce, capers and artichoke hearts served over pasta. I can't emphasize enough how damn good it was. I would eat it every day of my life if I could. I finished my meal which is unusual because of the large portions, but as I said I just couldn't stop myself it was so good. My father loved his veal parm and took about half home, and my mother's grinder was a decent size and she also took half home. Will definitely be back if not for their pizza and anti-pasta, then for their chicken picatta. If you're at the casino, do yourself a huge favor and go here for dinner. I've lived in Boston, frequented Worcester, had Antonios in Amherst, tasted pizza in North Adams on Eagle Street and enjoyed bar pizza of Lynnwood Cafe and Cape Cod Cafe and can honestly say this is my favorite. We stopped by for my husband's birthday Wednesday night. It was outstanding as always. We had Pizza Margherita with a thicker crust. Wow, it was excellent!
