I am pissed and we won't be going back here again. We went because we really enjoy their black and blue burgers. Unfortunately, today, we were surprised when the bill came and we were charged $13 for 1 skinny margarita that was in a relatively small glass and it was not heavy on the tequila in any way. When I complained to the bar manager all I got was lip service, no effort to make amends, no apology, only "I'll tell the owner". Well that was not enough for me. Done with this place and I'll be sure to tell all my friends as well and believe me, I've plenty of friends that love to dine and drink in Morrison. I would have given zero stars but you have to give some rating. So 1 star because the burgers were good. Yes, I'm still pissed. read more

Tres expensive, as you would expect when dining looking out over the rocky mountains! Great patio dining, in a beautiful spot. Enough about the setting; the food is far better than it should be! Tourists are used to high prices for fancy but inedible foods, but we got none of that here. My wife got a great chicken sandwich, tasty as the bird of the yard can be made. I got the best bison burger I have had since Firehouse Cafe in Venice Beach, and I upgraded mine to include bacon, cheese, and YES -a afried egg! Heavenly! Came in here with some girlfriends. We were feeling Mexican and didn't want to go too far from home. We hasn't been here so we decided to check it out. There was a decent crowd, not packed but not empty to make you worry. We chose to sit on the patio as it was a beautiful day. We ordered margaritas, queso to go with our chips, and these pretzel bite things. It took 15 mins to get our margs. They were ok but nothing to write home about. Then we waited another 15 for our appetizers. When they finally came out, the $7 queso came out in a SMALL ramekin, the outside was hot, but when I dipped a chip in, it was ice cold through out. Didn't help that it tasted like it was out of a jar. After the long wait, horrible service, and really, really bad food, we decided to leave without finishing our drinks. We cancelled our meal order and paid for our $24 for 3 margaritas and left. They didn't say much to us and a manager never even tried to come out and talk to us. Wow!!! What an amazing place to come and get your workout on or listen to a concert! What a site, especially if it's your first time visiting!! The drive up looking at all the rocks is stunning. Cant believe the rocks are so big! You will see tons of people that come here regularly to workout!! These a cool museum where you can buy gifts as well! They do take Apple Pay which we found out because we didn't have our wallets on us! The concert hall is outside and its pretty cool! There are rocks all around it and the sounds are amazing!!! We came here after walking around Red rock amphitheater and was hoping to still have some nice views. There is a back patio but it's next to a big dump and you can't really see any of the red rock, just hills. We ate inside and it has a very rustic feel, but honestly a little crummy. We got burgers and some drinks which were all average priced and had a decent taste. Nothing too lovely or too negative so that's what explains my 3/5 rating. There is free parking in the back and metered street parking in the front. Only an 8 min drive down from the amphitheater. Probably will not go back, but it's a convenient place if you're hungry after visiting red rock. read more

The food was a 3, but the service was a 5! Afternoon at Red Rocks and we were hungry so we popped in for 'street' tacos. They have 3 kinds, so we assumed you got one of each but you had to order 3...that was the first let down. Then they arrived to the table and the tacos were packed full in metal holders - not served flat like normal street tacos. We each ordered a different taco and shared:the shrimp was breaded/fried (we expected grilled), the carnitas was VERY salty but the steak was decent. After visiting Red Rocks Amphitheater we need a place to eat, we had big group and was already nervous trying to find a spot at lunch time. Luckily Red Rocks Grill had a spot for us. 8 adults 4 kids... Yikes. We got server quickly with some amazing food. Server was nice and the manager was very friendly with our big group. I went for a great hike with a friend at Red Rocks, and we wanted to check out the cute little town you drive through to get there. We stopped for brunch at Red Rocks Grill and really enjoyed it! The service could have been a bit more prompt but the food was DELICIOUS with huge portions. I was a little thrown off by $8 mimosas, but it's a small town so we didn't have many brunch options. Plus the mimosas came in a pint glass, so I wasn't too upset about it in the end. I firmly believe that hikes are best when followed by brunch, and this is a great spot to pop in after hitting Red Rocks. read more

After paying for a french dip with fries, to-go, which we got, they failed to press down on the AuJus lid, or putting a couple little pieces of scotch tape on it as most restaurants have learned to do, and it of course opened up and spilled in the car. Ordered what I thought was the fatty breakfast burrito without the tomatoes. What I got was a flour tortilla with gray meat, too many uncooked onions and overcooked peppers. It didn't come with the lettuce or any of the meats. It was the only burrito that I saw on the menu so I'm not sure why it was so different than the description. My friend got the chicken fried pork skillet which looked delicious. I would eat there again if I knew what I was going to get matched what I ordered from the menu, but sadly it did not. read more

If you have children, please stay away. The owner was all over my kids leaning on them, getting next to their faces to talk in the ears. She kept talking about how she wanted to be a grandma and how she would smooch my kids and pretend to be a grandma. She brought them coloring pages and kept calling the animals on the page the wrong names ie: she called penguins chickens and a grasshopper a unicorn. It was so nightmarish uncomfortable. I had to put myself between her and my son. We let without eating so I could get my kids somewhere that didn't feel unsafe and unnerving. She said some bizarre things in the 15 minutes we were there. Not good is an understatement. This place was filthy. The tables around us were left uncleaned throughout our meal. Our table was sticky and gross. The food was absolutely horrible. I had the ribs special the ribs tastted like the were from a precooked and preseasoned heat and serve bag. The baked beans were Bushes baked beans from a can and the truffle mashed potatoes were so over whipped they became a glutenous liquid mass and were inedible. I have been going to the Red Rocks Grill for decades for breakfast on the weekends. The last two times I went there they no longer serve breakfast. They used to have the best eggs Benedict on the planet. Well I guess everything good in Colorado always have to change for the worst. I went to today at 12pm noon. No more breakfast. OK so we ordered a Rubin sandwich and two Bloody Mary's . Oh! they had no bloody Mary's. Jefferson County has opened up the restaurants to 50% capacity. What no breakfast like i always had. No Bloody Mary's either. If this covid has killed restaurants and now they have no food to handle the new influx of customers. Well that will be there worst enemy and their undoing. To be honest, I was meeting a friend for dinner and it was convenient, halfway from where we both were. I wasn't expecting much as there are a few restaurants and bars along with one street in this small town. I was really there just for the company anyway and my friend couldn't even suggest something when I asked "what's good here?" Except...I found a big pork burrito smothered in pork green chili that was extremely tasty, filling and delicious. The $12 "house made chips" were definitely stale, commercial made (maybe On the Boarder brand?), with a side of yellow baseball stadium nacho cheese on the menu hailed as "queso" and a side of salsa, did not whet our appetite. The restaurant sits at the base from the Red Rocks nature walk and amphitheater. This joint definitely makes you feel like you are in Colorado with the extensive taxidermy throughout! We popped in for a burger and a beer before a Red Rocks show and had a nice meal. Beers are cheap and burgers were mike high. The restrooms were dirty (which makes me worry about the cleanliness of the kitchen) and there were lots of flies inside the dining room. The service, while friendly, seemed a bit off - we had to ask for napkins, ketchup, and cutlery for example and it seemed like those items should have been brought out automatically. After a four mile hike at Maxwell Falls my Mom and I were in desperate nourishment mode. As we were passing through Morrison we found Red Rocks Grill along the main drag and parked in the parking lot in the back alley (convenient for customers of the small strip of businesses). We quickly saw this place was a favorite of the locals, always a good sign. The menu offers classic American fare with some Tex-Mex classics mixed in as well. The usual items, burgers, salads, fried appetizers, and a few more. My Mom and I opted for the Chicken Fajitas for two. It fit our scenario perfectly. It was hot and filling and sounded yummy. The food took at least 30+ minutes to arrive and our tummies were growling so loud I was sure the noise was making the baby cry that I was hearing in the back. Finally our Fajitas arrived and boy oh boy was this a gargantuan portion, these Fajitas could easily feed three or four, not just two people. The grilled chicken, onions, and green peppers were sizzling hot and piled high. The side of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole (it was really just blended avocado), and spicy salsa was a good accompaniment to the sizzling plate of protein and veggies. We opted for flour tortillas but corn tortillas were also an option. We devoured two fajita wraps a piece and slowly nibbled on some of the remaining chicken and veggies. It was exactly what we were looking for, warm and filling and we were both equally pleased with our lunch. I ate here many times when I lived in Denver West. I moved away and revisited recently. I was pleasantly surprised. First, we ordered two 34oz Banquet Beers. They were huge and less than $4 each. She ordered Combo 1 -chili relleno, tamale, refried beans, smothered in green chili. I ordered the Monte Cristo. After tasting her dish, I did not really want mine. The gringo Mexican food is good here. However, as far as Monte Cristos go, this is a good one. Next time, I will go with the Mexican though, The servings are huge. I met the owner of this establishment. Shewas incredibly friendly and gave off the vibe of a genuinely nice person. The bartender was one of the most stunningly beautiful young lady that I've ever seen. The atmosphere was relaxed and the place was well kept. The price of a bottle of beer was a little pricy, though, which will keep me from making a special trip but on my occasional trips to Willy's Wings on the opposite end of town, I will definitely stop back in. read more
