I am pissed and we won't be going back here again. We went because we really enjoy their black and blue burgers. Unfortunately, today, we were surprised when the bill came and we were charged $13 for 1 skinny margarita that was in a relatively small glass and it was not heavy on the tequila in any way. When I complained to the bar manager all I got was lip service, no effort to make amends, no apology, only "I'll tell the owner". Well that was not enough for me. Done with this place and I'll be sure to tell all my friends as well and believe me, I've plenty of friends that love to dine and drink in Morrison. Amazing decor! Luv in' it! Good chicken sandwich special with mushrooms and Swiss. There is a yelp freebie of chips & salsa. The salsa does not taste homemade, though. Came in here with some girlfriends. We were feeling Mexican and didn't want to go too far from home. We hasn't been here so we decided to check it out. There was a decent crowd, not packed but not empty to make you worry. We chose to sit on the patio as it was a beautiful day. We ordered margaritas, queso to go with our chips, and these pretzel bite things. It took 15 mins to get our margs. They were ok but nothing to write home about. Then we waited another 15 for our appetizers. When they finally came out, the $7 queso came out in a SMALL ramekin, the outside was hot, but when I dipped a chip in, it was ice cold through out. Didn't help that it tasted like it was out of a jar. After the long wait, horrible service, and really, really bad food, we decided to leave without finishing our drinks. We cancelled our meal order and paid for our $24 for 3 margaritas and left. They didn't say much to us and a manager never even tried to come out and talk to us. Wow!!! What an amazing place to come and get your workout on or listen to a concert! What a site, especially if it's your first time visiting!! The drive up looking at all the rocks is stunning. Cant believe the rocks are so big! You will see tons of people that come here regularly to workout!! These a cool museum where you can buy gifts as well! They do take Apple Pay which we found out because we didn't have our wallets on us! The concert hall is outside and its pretty cool! There are rocks all around it and the sounds are amazing!!! My dad and I grabbed a parking spot right in front and were immediately seated and attended to by our friendly server, Bree! With a mixture of grill and Mexican favorites on the menu, I went with the #3 Mexican combination of a guacamole tostada, refried bean burrito and chili relleno. The platter was huge and I could only finish half of it. The green chili was the perfect amount of spicy and it certainly satisfied my Colorado Mexican cravings. To wash it all down, we had some beers. When she asked if I wanted a tall or short, I went with tall because we had a while, but know this beer is HUGE. Like, bigger than my head huge. I couldn't even finish it all when paired with all the food. Overall, we were in and out in good time and felt very satisfied. I got the best bison burger I have had since Firehouse Cafe in Venice Beach, and I upgraded mine to include bacon, cheese, and YES -a afried egg! Heavenly! We came here after walking around Red rock amphitheater and was hoping to still have some nice views. There is a back patio but it's next to a big dump and you can't really see any of the red rock, just hills. We ate inside and it has a very rustic feel, but honestly a little crummy. We got burgers and some drinks which were all average priced and had a decent taste. Nothing too lovely or too negative so that's what explains my 3/5 rating. There is free parking in the back and metered street parking in the front. Only an 8 min drive down from the amphitheater. Probably will not go back, but it's a convenient place if you're hungry after visiting red rock. read more

They have 3 kinds, so we assumed you got one of each but you had to order 3...that was the first let down. Then they arrived to the table and the tacos were packed full in metal holders - not served flat like normal street tacos. We each ordered a different taco and shared:the shrimp was breaded/fried (we expected grilled), the carnitas was VERY salty but the steak was decent. It didn't come with the lettuce or any of the meats. It was the only burrito that I saw on the menu so I'm not sure why it was so different than the description. I went for a great hike with a friend at Red Rocks, and we wanted to check out the cute little town you drive through to get there. We stopped for brunch at Red Rocks Grill and really enjoyed it! The service could have been a bit more prompt but the food was DELICIOUS with huge portions. I was a little thrown off by $8 mimosas, but it's a small town so we didn't have many brunch options. Plus the mimosas came in a pint glass, so I wasn't too upset about it in the end. I firmly believe that hikes are best when followed by brunch, and this is a great spot to pop in after hitting Red Rocks. read more

After paying for a french dip with fries, to-go, which we got, they failed to press down on the AuJus lid, or putting a couple little pieces of scotch tape on it as most restaurants have learned to do, and it of course opened up and spilled in the car. If you have children, please stay away. The owner was all over my kids leaning on them, getting next to their faces to talk in the ears. She kept talking about how she wanted to be a grandma and how she would smooch my kids and pretend to be a grandma. She brought them coloring pages and kept calling the animals on the page the wrong names ie: she called penguins chickens and a grasshopper a unicorn. It was so nightmarish uncomfortable. I had to put myself between her and my son. We let without eating so I could get my kids somewhere that didn't feel unsafe and unnerving. She said some bizarre things in the 15 minutes we were there. Not good is an understatement. This place was filthy. The tables around us were left uncleaned throughout our meal. Our table was sticky and gross. The food was absolutely horrible. I had the ribs special the ribs tastted like the were from a precooked and preseasoned heat and serve bag. The baked beans were Bushes baked beans from a can and the truffle mashed potatoes were so over whipped they became a glutenous liquid mass and were inedible. The $12 "house made chips" were definitely stale, commercial made (maybe On the Boarder brand?), with a side of yellow baseball stadium nacho cheese on the menu hailed as "queso" and a side of salsa, did not whet our appetite. The $17 Monte Cristo was deep fried-ier than I have ever seen and compete with processed cheese singles inside. The beef taco was actually good, but the others were not impressive. I met the owner of this establishment. Shewas incredibly friendly and gave off the vibe of a genuinely nice person. The bartender was one of the most stunningly beautiful young lady that I've ever seen. The atmosphere was relaxed and the place was well kept. I have been going to the Red Rocks Grill for decades for breakfast on the weekends. The last two times I went there they no longer serve breakfast. They used to have the best eggs Benedict on the planet. Well I guess everything good in Colorado always have to change for the worst. I went to today at 12pm noon. No more breakfast. OK so we ordered a Rubin sandwich and two Bloody Mary's . Oh! they had no bloody Mary's. Jefferson County has opened up the restaurants to 50% capacity. What no breakfast like i always had. To be honest, I was meeting a friend for dinner and it was convenient, halfway from where we both were. I wasn't expecting much as there are a few restaurants and bars along with one street in this small town. I was really there just for the company anyway and my friend couldn't even suggest something when I asked "what's good here?" Except...I found a big pork burrito smothered in pork green chili that was extremely tasty, filling and delicious. Perfect wings (buffalo), a canyon sized basket of PERFECTLY cooked sweet potato fries, and a nice cold cider made for a perfect breakfast... ok, brunch... borderline lunch. This was a surprise unplanned visit on our journey to visit Red Rocks. The restaurant is what you may expect from small town USA complete with local toadies all gathered around the bar watching America's funniest bloopers and talking smack about their fellow local yo's. Oddly, the restaurant did't have plain olive oil or vinegar for their salads but the food more than made up for that slight oversight. The restaurant sits at the base from the Red Rocks nature walk and amphitheater. So, get your drinks on, slap down a scrumptious burger or main dish and fill up your food tank before taking that 1 mile hike up Red Rocks. read more

This joint definitely makes you feel like you are in Colorado with the extensive taxidermy throughout! We popped in for a burger and a beer before a Red Rocks show and had a nice meal. Beers are cheap and burgers were mike high. The restrooms were dirty (which makes me worry about the cleanliness of the kitchen) and there were lots of flies inside the dining room. The service, while friendly, seemed a bit off - we had to ask for napkins, ketchup, and cutlery for example and it seemed like those items should have been brought out automatically. Truly a horrifying experience for my Memorial Day with my family. It was truly a nightmare and I would be SO embarrassed if I owned this restaurant. There were like, 5 experiences in the matter of 30 minutes. THE PATIO EXPERIENCE: First, we asked to sit on the patio. Black haired girl walks up to us and says we aren't seating out there because its about to rain and they can't have us moving back inside. Understandable. Irritating, but understandable. THE LOUD TABLE EXPERIENCE: Then we wait for our server at our table. Next to us is this girl in a SWIMSUIT loudly FaceTiming her friends little sister talking about how she is going to get her P*SSY wet, how much blow she did last night, how she needs some good D*CK etc. Everyone around us was horrified. Same black haired server is doing her check out, ignoring the situation until the couple next to us, fuming, goes up to her and asks her to do something. She goes up to the couple and says "Ok you need to leave" they literally laugh at her face and say they're "sorry they're too sexy for this sh*thole to handle"?? Black haired server than gets mad and runs away. Instead of actually handling the situation, the annoying, ratchet couple sits there for another 15 minutes. Once they leave the black haired girl goes up to each table, 'apologizing' but basically taking the opportunity to brag about "taking care of the issue". Seriously? You didn't do anything!!! THE BAD SERVICE EXPERIENCE: A different girl was our server than the black haired girl. She was nice and wasn't rude or anything, but holy crap did she not care about us at all. There was maybe 5 tables in the whole restaurant, so I don't think she was too busy to help us. Here's a rundown of this service experience: 1. Took forever to greet us 2. Only got us refills on our waters once and that was after we asked because it had been 15 minutes since we had seen her. 3. Tried to get shots TWICE but she never came back with them. 4. Split a ramekin of ranch on the floor at the table next to us and never cleaned it up. Busser eventually did 6 minutes later. She even sat a table next to the spill and WE had to warn them not to step in it. 5. Never brought us silverwear, condiments, or anything. We had to get them our selves. I am a server at a similar bar/grill in Lakewood. I am EXTREMELY lenient when it comes to service. But this was just insane. THE FOOD EXPERIENCE: Even if the food was even good it would have not saved me from this horrible experience, but guess what, they messed that up too. My sister got chicken tenders because we were afraid to order something actually challenging from the kitchen since everything else as bad, but they were as flat as a board. probably 2 cm thick and looked horrible. Fries were okay. My chicken tacos were GOD AWFUL. The taco shells were falling apart because the shredded chicken was so watery. They had no flavor when I bit into them except water. It was so weird. My boyfriend's french dip was the only food that was good, so I had to eat half of his. I would have returned my tacos if I knew where the server was.... ever. THE BATHROOM EXPERIENCE: This is the best part. So my sister gets up to go to the bathroom and she comes back immediately. She says she cant go here because there was PERIOD BLOOD ALL OVER THE TOILET SEAT in one stall, and in the other stall there is a GIANT PIECE OF S**T SITTING BASICALLY ON THE TOILET BOWL. After all of this, I couldn't believe it so I went to check. Sure enough, blood drizzling down the toilet seat cover, dripping on to the toilet bowl rim and a large turd just sitting at the top of the bowl. This was so disgusting. What kind of place doesn't check on their bathrooms? So yeah, overall this was horrible. I will never go here again. There are so many better places to visit in Morrison that I don't even know why I gave this place a chance. I should have known something was up when it was the only place that wasn't busy on Memorial Day. read more
