    Moose drool - local brew w / 5% alcohol

Good: 1. Salad bar was fresh and unlimited. Plenty of dressings provided to garnish. 2. Mashed potatoes were creamy and tasty. 3. Our waiter was outstanding and fully attentive to our needs. Bad: 1 No amber flavored local brewski to select. 2. Meat quality just average. I expected better because it did bare the establishments name in its title. 3. Soup was lumpy and much to salty.

Not exactly a place for fine dining, but the food was OK. We came in a little after the lunch crowd rush, but were seated quickly in a comfortable booth. Service was a bit slow, but I believe there were too few servers as well as a back up in the kitchen. The salad bar was completely picked over, so we opted for some sandwiches with fries. They were good and hit the spot, but not great. They have a full service bar as well. With limited options in Wall, this may be one of the better options.

Our server was so sweet and extremely attentive! The place itself is nothing special. Do be aware there seems to be 2 sides to the establishment: a bar side and restaurant side. I will say the cowboy beans were excellent! My broadted chicken was a little overdone for me ( I like my chicken a caramel color vs dark brown). If you didn't know oles is a tater tot and man, were they plentiful! Salad bar was included and the ingredients seemed fresh. The place was picking up as we were leaving seems the licals like it too.

First of all, we had a great waitress named Kyli. She was super sweet and took great care of us. We sat outside on the patio because we had our fur baby with us. Being outside didn't stop Kyli from being prompt and attentive. The outdoor seating was great with plenty of seating and a covered area. My husband a burger and tots and ate every bit of it. I had the steak tips served over grilled onions and a baked potato. The sauce the steak tips were cooked in was very good, sweet and tangy and the meat was cooked just the way I asked. This was a great experience during our stay here in Wall, S. Dakota.

We stopped here at for lunch during a recent road trip the food was excellent. The staff was friendly, efficient and polite. The food was freshly prepared to order and delicious. The drinks were deliciously prepared, they made an incredible mud slide.

Stopped here our third and last night in Wall... there's really only 3 restaurants open in the town past 6pm when it's not peak tourist season. We had already been to the other two and thought we'd round out going to the last local place. We got a personal cheese pizza (very limited vegetarian options here) and a country fried steak with a side of Mac and cheese. Both were average, and the wait wasn't long at all after ordering. Staff was friendly and pleasant! Worth a try! Adding photos of an updated menu as the last ones on here were very dated and they don't have a menu online either.

Not to many places in Wall so this might be ok in comparison to other spots nearby but no way I'd put it up against other places I've eaten at. The location has inside and outside seating. We were seated right away but a wait started right after us at around 5:45 on a weekday. Ordered a local beer out if spearfish and they were out even though it was only cans. Asked for an alternate and they were out of that too. Heard them telling other tables that they were out of certain other canned drinks as well so or I'll drink choices seemed pretty limited. Onto food. We ordered onion petals ( 2.5/5), pulled pork nachos (5/5), sliders (3/5), burger (4/5) and bbq combo (1/5). Ok, I might be a bbq snob but this wasn't it. Brisket and ribs appeared reheated and were greasy. Saw another plate get delivered bd it looked even worse then mine. Please, please, please don't subject yourself to this bbq. All of the other food was kind of hit or miss with some getting rave reviews from people that ordered them to others being a mix of two bland or over/under done. I will say that the service was pretty good. The wait staff was trying their best but you could tell that diners were getting agitated with the speed as the kitchen seem to get really backed up. I heard them tell a party that had been seated to expect to wait 30 to 40 minutes for their food. They do have a salad bar that we didn't take advantage of but I can see how people would add that on if the wait for your entrées is going to be that long. Overall I don't recommend based on the food inconsistency but realize, with so few options, this might be your only choice.

This a cute little stop in Wall! It gives me ol' school restaurant vibes-has a little salad bar and I assume maybe a bar attached to the other end. Our server was very sweet and nice! Our food was good! My only issue was my food was a bit more crispy than i anticipated. Overall it was good home cooked kind of food and we would go back!

We stopped in Wall, after leaving the Badlands. We had three hungry kids and they wanted brisket. A quick search found this place. The brisket was good. Could have used more seasoning. The 1/3 burger was really good. You could make it how you wanted. Shoestring fries are good if you like skinny fries. The Mac and cheese was really good.

In a town with only two restaurants, this is definitely one of them.

If you are in town during the off season, you got two choices for a sit-down dinner and out of those two, this has a more dinner vibe. Saturday night is prime rib night, which is awesome and sliced off of cows literally down the street. It's like getting fresh catch at the fisth market near the ocean.

As with everyone else's review, I thought the food was good but the service was not impressive. We came in and were seated quickly but not given menus. The salad bar was OK but several item containers were empty, and they didn't close for over an hour; only half the salad dressing options were labeled. We waited a long time for our food. To be fair, the waiter stopped by a couple times. I had the beef tips, which were tasty and nicely cooked. My dining companion had the broasted chicken and she said it was good. I wouldn't rush back though.

The menus on Yelp aren't current, if you aren't a meat eater don't bother eating here.

Starting with the burger: the bun and beef burger weren't all too great. To be honest, the actual patty was mediocre at best, and the bun should've at least been toasted in my opinion. The brisket on the burger was a different story. It was smoky, tender, and flavorful. The pulled pork and sausage were good as well. The mac and cheese was decent, but I threw some brisket in there and it elevated it quite a bit. For what you get, in terms of flavor and the overall portion, I'd say it's overpriced. Maybe I'm being harsh, but if I'm paying $30 for a burger and mac, I want every component to be great - I have no doubt that most people could've made a better burger (the patty itself) at home. It was an experience, but truthfully, you could get a better burger at Freddy's or another fast-food joint. Hopefully I'm the outlier and someone just dropped the ball on my order. The restaurant was clean and the staff relatively friendly.

I had the Walleye Chermoula, and all I can say is...wow. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the subtle North African spices in the chermoula complemented the walleye without overpowering it. It was one of the best dishes I had on the entire trip. As always, we travel with a long list of dietary restrictions. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. Our server was outstanding. I didn't write down her name, but she took the time to understand our food sensitivities, answered our questions, and made sure we were comfortable with our meal choices. The attentive service really elevated the experience. The restaurant has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. It would work well for a casual business lunch or dinner, and families with small children should feel comfortable here as well. Its location is another plus. It's just off the main tourist area in downtown Custer, making it easy to walk to after exploring the shops, and there is convenient parking nearby. This was an easy five stars for us. If you're near Custer, Custer Wolf should be on your short list. Highly recommended.

When I went inside to the bar to pick up my order, there were two male bartenders working. One was deeply engaged in a lengthy conversation with another customer about different beers, while the other appeared to overlook me, even though I was the only other person waiting. After standing there for a while, I finally spoke up and let him know I was there to pick up a takeout order, and he then assisted me. We ordered the bulgogi dish. It was decent, though it was more of a stir-fry than the traditional bulgogi I was expecting. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't stand out enough that I would make a point of returning.
