With our wonderful guide (in the back) - Sam!

1st rafting trip for my young kids (5 & 6 y/o). Had a blast! Highly recommend this company. Sam is amazing! Lots of history explained to us. If you're debating between a 1/2 day or full day trip...- do FULL day! We saw the 1/2 day people get off & for us it would have been too short.

Adam took us canyoneering today through Bow & Arrow. We had a really cool group of people and Adam kept the conversation going the whole time. Lots of information and fun facts. Then guided us all down the ridges with confidence. It was our first time and we were really nervous heading in but he did such a great job making it fun. Highly highly recommend this adventure.

Nathan made my birthday extra special. Super guide! We had the best time on the canyoneering adventure. Not for the faint of heart. 100+ degrees outside but we got in and got out of the canyon. If you love adventure and a heart pounding scare of 120ft drop this is for you. Cheers to 33. Thanks red river for the best time! Xo

Went Canyoneering with Red River Adventures today. They were fun and super knowledgeable. Absolutely loved it!

Red River Adventures is highly recommended! We had a great time with our guide Larry Harpe. He made this experience the highlight of our vacation. He spent the day leading us on an awesome adventure, canyoneering and climbing though the slot canyons of Moab. We learned a lot and made a new friend in Moab. We signed up for the two canyon combination, combining canyoneering at the Morning Glory arch in the morning with an afternoon of hiking and climbing through the Chamisa slot canyon. If you decide to do the same, make sure you get to sleep early, you'll need the rest.

Shout out to Sadie our amazing guide!

This company is by far the best in Moab due to their friendly and informative staff! The online checkin was easy and the staff was extremely helpful! Big shout out to Sadie who made our day enjoyable with her great wit and knowledge of the area! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I booked the Rim to River trip and were extremely pleased with both the hike, rappelling and the mellow splashy rafting trip. Andrew was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and kept an eye on our experience levels and set the pace accordingly. Red River books small groups with a guide. There were 5 of us plus Andrew. Unlike a lot of the other tour companies that will shove as many people that they can in a boat, Red River seemed to focus on the individual experience. I would highly recommend this tour company.

My family went on the Morning Glory Cayoneering trip with this outfit. First, the office staff and the staff answering the phone is top notch. I would give them 5 stars. Carl did a great job explaining our options, cost, etc on the phone. The check in process the day of the event the guy was really friendly and helpful as well. Unfortunately, the guides are not top notch. This is bad. Our guides were Adam and Evan. Adam was ok. However, Evan had other things to do besides be our guide. From the time the bus left headquarters until we got back on the van all he wanted to do is get home to watch the World Cup. The sprint of a trip was a huge disappointment. We never felt unsafe going down the ropes but going through the bolder field was a different story. There wasn't a guide in site. They were too busy setting up the next rappel. Many in the group had issues getting down the boulder field post the first rappel. Other people on the trip helped each other out but not a guide. I would not suggest this trip primary for this boulder field. It is not difficult if you have some experience with the outdoors and climbing. However, if you read the write up on this trip you would not expect this boulder field. I expect that if a guide had been there to help us through it, it would not have seemed so challenging. However, a bunch of people never out this way and many who this was their first time doing this sort of thing it was hard. Thankfully, my husband and another gentleman are big guys. They were able to physically help people off the rocks. Second rappel is nice. A great arch waits for you. Afterward there is about a two mile hike out of the area to the vans. It is easy enough. It was a bit of a sprit for us to keep up with Evan. Many times the group was broken into three sub groups. The group that could keep up with Evan. A middle group. Then the slower group which thankfully Adam stayed with. My husband and I were in the middle group. Many times we stopped and waited for Adam as there were forks in the road and we had no idea the way. Once we all caught up with Evan and his group waiting for us in the shade. As soon as we all got there he was off again. Hey guy. Maybe these guys in the back need a break? It is June in Moab. A tad warm. If you do this trip in the summer take more water than they tell you. My husband and I had five litters and drank every last drop. Overall, we will not use this outfit again. The experience wasn't worth the cost and we didn't like the attitude of the guide.

And it's dog friendly! At the trailhead, there is a small parking lot with a sign that tells visitors to come back later if the lot is full. We arrived just after 8am on a Sunday and found only 3 other cars there. The trail is very clearly marked so you know right where to go. Be sure to stop at the bathroom on your way up if needed. There is also a dog waste station to get poop bags, but you'll need to carry it out with you as there are no garbage cans along the way. The first few minutes of the hike are out in the open-lots of sun and no shade. But quickly you'll find yourself along the river with trees all around you. There is sandstone that you'll hike through-it can be a little slippery. A little further in you'll find that the trail crosses the river. Plan on getting wet even though there are rocks that you can walk across. Keep going and you'll end up at a beautiful waterfall and pool. I'm told there is another further on, but we turned around after this point. We will come back again and see what surprises await us beyond this point.

Moab was at the tail-end of our trip and we had just gone through a pretty taxing rental car issue when we arrived.. so needless to say we were seeking an escape. The town was really lovely, and we were looking forward to meeting with MDA for a climb up Looking Glass. We were introduced to Larry, the manager of operations and an accomplished adventure guide for the company. Larry was just a fantastic guy all around.. polite, funny, he kept us engaged through the whole experience, and even acted as tour guide for us so we could get a good sense of what Moab had to offer. Looking Glass itself was a phenomenal experience. I'm a first-time climber and my friend had some experience under her belt, but we are both in good shape and Larry briefed us on exactly what the demands were for the climb and what we were to expect. After a crash course in harnessing, belaying, and the ensuing climb, it didn't take us more than an hour to summit. Larry was a gem, helped us gather some great photos, and even took us along the scenic route back to show us different sites along the way. The experience was precisely what we were looking for, we wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with Larry again.
