Best pizza joint in Madiso . They have everything from pizza to stromboli. Their salads are really good and so are the breadsticks with cheese. I always get the Mac Daddy pizza; it is their all meat pizza. Has pepperoni and sausage and ham and bacon. This place is always busy, standing room only. You have to wait to sit but it's a first come first serve policy. So if you want to go with a big group good luck. read more

So, so good. Crust is thin but not crunchy/crispy. We enjoyed the breadsticks with the garlic sauce, skip the nacho cheese dip - it's nothing special. We loved the Bonzai Chicken pizza, pepperoni & sausage too. Mozzarella sticks are skinny but only because the breading was thin (& delicious). We would absolutely come again. Now I know why the locals love this place. We went on a Friday evening and it was packed. People were obviously enjoying the food and each other's company. We tried the side salads with their homemade dill ranch and Italian vinegret dressings - both excellent! We ordered the Thai chicken pizza which was very tasty. Great beer selection and the pizza was so tasty. The beer list is 3 pages typed front and back and is also beautifully displayed on a chalkboard at the entrance. I ordered the Noble Order Tobias Apricot IPA. Unfortunately I received the Original Sin Apricot Cider. Not at all the same thing, but I liked it fine once I adjusted to having a cider, and I didn't mention the mix up to our very busy waitress. My boyfriend ordered a New Albanian Hoptimus IPA, which came out in a 22 oz. bomber bottle, which was a surprise (but a good one.) The toasted ravioli were tasty, six to an order and a perfect start. The small RPD pizza (minus green peppers) was the perfect amount. Without the ravioli we'd have eaten the whole thing! I ordered a diet Pepsi when we ordered the pizza and literally I received the straw when we got the bill!! I didn't get the Pepsi until we asked for the check and I asked for it to go!! Wife and I, and family have been frequenting the Red Pepperoni for quite a few years now... and truthfully it's probably the best pizza joint within a 50 mile radius. We actually live 30 minutes away from Madison, IN. but will go out of our way to drive there for their excellent food. The staff are always friendly and we have never been disappointed in anything we have ordered. Madison is kind of a cool old river town to visit anyways as it's a pretty little spot on the Ohio River east of Louisville Kentucky. There are a few decent dining locations in town but when it comes to pizza, you'll be hard-pressed to find anywhere much better. read more

We started with the cheese break (very good), enjoyed salads and breadsticks (the dressings were delectable), and finished with calzones (amazing). All of that with soft drinks was under $35. We frequent pizza places everywhere we go. Their crust was some of the best we have experienced. The marinara was also delicious. Our family always stops in at the Red Pepperoni when we visit Madison, and tonight was no different. The food was outstanding as always, but our service was disappointing. We waited outside for about 10 minutes for someone to clean off our table, and when she finally came out, she just had a used rag to wipe off the table. As places are reopening from COVID, we hoped that the Red Pepperoni would have made this more of a priority. Throw in the fact that they table next to us decided to smoke right next to the NO SMOKING sign, and we left a little bummed out. They forgot to put any meat on my Stromboli sandwich. I didn't realize what was wrong until my wife told me to trade the last half with her; since her sandwich was so much larger. She said: "There's no meat on this"! When she went to complain and ask for a discount, they told her they couldn't do discounts on the weekend. Because, the owner had to make that decision. Very Strongly recommend the garlic dip! Beer & Cider selection looked good. You have to request that as a separate menu. Sadly, the first time, our server never revisited to take that order until we had eaten our appetizers and all but the last slice of pizza! Hard miss. Wait service: spotty - as written quite a few times elsewhere by others - they're right. Know that going in. I'm not going to belabor the point. Value priced? Yes, and fairly. Holy beer selection! They had a ton of great Micro-Brews that I have never heard of. There was local stuff and other big name stuff as well! I went here on a lacrosse trip to Hanover College that I was coaching. We stopped here to get some pasta for the team. The manager that was working was awesome. He was very accommodating on our take out menu and cut us a deal since we were spending close to $400 for 32 people. The pasta and the sauce was very good and all of the players were huge fans! We were in Madison this past week and were looking for pet friendly patio dining. We found Red Pepperoni fit that need and dropped by for lunch. Our server April was very welcoming and we felt right at home. My husband asked about the beer list and April advised she would go grab one for us. My husband asked her to surprise him with an IPA in lieu of her running back inside. She brought out a beer that he had not had before and made an excellent choice. It was a great beer. We then ordered wings and loaded fries (we were on vacation, so calories don't count). Both the wings and fries were delicious! April was very attentive and took great care of us. The owner has done the homework and nailed it in all areas; great family friendly atmosphere, delicious New York Style Pizza and an excellent local craft beer selection. It seems the Reds have a finger in every pie in town. First pizza choice was closed, so they sounded solid. Rolled the dice on the Thai chicken pizza. It was hot, it was good. But it wasn't great, and it didn't really taste very Thai-peanutty. The "Caesar salad" was just weird. Onions and teeny-tiny lil tomato bits, with a sort of thin Caesar-esque dressing that probably (hopefully?) came from a bottle. Now I know Indiana has fully reopened, so the place was kind of crowded but no one was going out of their way to give 6' of space. The single cashier seemed to be the point of contact for dine-in and carry-out. I was waiting for carry-out among people waiting for a table. Masks were kind of hit or miss, a little more miss when I saw the kitchen door open. And I'm sorry, WTF are those tiny clear plastic face shield "masks"? I get that people want to see and hear their server in a busy dining room but studies have shown those are ineffective at keeping one's spit to oneself. read more
