I'll have to say this place was a surprise, it's tucked into a shopping plaza, but appears to be a local favorite. The food was excellent. I usually stay away from meat, but loved Reuben sandwich as a kid. They are known for their Reuben's and believe me they did not disappoint. You get your choice of bread (pumpernickel - yum) The corned beef was the leanest I have ever seen. I ordered an extra whole pickle for only a $1.25. The extra special bonus with this place is they offer 1/2 sandwich and it is plenty big. They have some outdoor seating and allowed to have our dog out there. No cocktails are served outdoors - which is fine since we did not need to leave the pup in the car. All four of use enjoyed our sandwiches and the service. We will definitely be going back. read more

If their signature reuben is the best they have, it's a problem. Maybe not the biggest problem as I saw food handled with bare hands. The waitress we had was young with little to no personality. She is either the owner's relative or won't last the season. read more

This place was pretty awesome today. Saw a commercial on my local cable station and decided to try it. Great decision, 4 of us went and none of us were disappointed. Great little hole in the wall in a strip mall that has been there for 39 years. Wish we would have found this place sooner. Nothing fancy here guys just really GREAT sandwiches. I had the 1/2 turkey sandwich pressed that was amazing. And the other 3 had the full pastrami and loved them. No French fries and no onion rings comes with just a pickle spear and bag of chips. This makes me sad. I used to love going here. My cousin and I would go at least once a week. However, since the passing of the original owner, the place just isn't making any progress. The sandwiches are only slightly better than subway, but the cost is really high. And if you're getting something to go, be ready to pay even more because you are charged for a to go container!! While waiting for our order, I sat at a table, and there was visible dust build up on the center piece and on the wall memorabilia. Two sandwiches cost nearly thirty dollars. I read negative comments about not toasting the bread. I would prefer toasted as well but I have to say the Reuben was pretty darn tasty. Also tried the Pub Sub and it was equally as good. It was surprisingly clean inside for a "Pub". My only negative was when I was paying I noticed the girl making the sandwich was not wearing gloves. First visit. The name leaves no indication as to what it is, so I'll say essentially it's a sandwich joint, Reubens, subs, salads, soups, etc. Staff was very friendly! I had the (el mulo) their version of the Cuban, and it was delicious! Had a very good flavor. Prices reasonable and comparable to most any other place with similar fare. Love this place. It's small but great. I love all the nostalgic decor and the food is excellent. The service never disappoints. I usually order the famous Reuben and the bread is super soft, meat tender and stacked high. The potato soup is great for a chilly day. It has the perfect pub feeling and the service is fast. Great little hole in the wall kinda place that I had unfortunately overlooked for quite a while. Ended up getting a sandwich back on Labor day weekend and it was very good. They are one of the only places I've seen here in Florida that offer Vienna Beef products. The prices are a little high but it's great quality meat so basically you get what you pay for. My only complaint was I didn't care for their sub roll which seemed like a normal packaged sub roll you would grab at the grocery store. Next time I'll get either Rye bread or something else. read more

I am writing this review to tell anyone interested that RED MULE PUB has the best we have tasted since being in NYC! And that is saying a lot! I think the decor is nice and I understand they have been around a long time, but for some reason I always feel uncomfortable there. Part of the reason is because the owner or manager has always been sitting in the corner table under the TV talking loudly with a buddy every time I come in. The poor waitress, seems so timid, as if she is afraid of making a mistake, the boss is prominently in the line of her work because the place is so tiny and cluttered with old stuff. I don't know why they call it a pub, there is no bar, just a counter space shared with a gazillion popular artifacts leaving room for only one person to have elbow room. The front tables are in very dark areas. They really serve sandwiches that showcase deli mearts, but they have never and will never grill or toast the bread. I feel this is just because the owner doesn't want the hassle of a hood, because nothing there is cooked, really. I think they microwave it. Beer mugs are very small. stopped going because they don't toast or grill the bread. It is a take it or leave it kind of place, I choose to leave it. read more

Pastrami sandwich is very good. BUT FOR GOD"S SAKE, TOAST THE BREAD! They don't even have a toaster to toast the bread. The fact that you get a pastrami on Rye and the bread is not toasted is just plain strange. The place has a lot of personality. It is not cheap for a Sandwich shop, but it is very good. read more
