I had the most FANTASTIC meal of snow crab legs I have ever had in decades! Yes, decades! For the first time ever the shells were crisp and easily cracked when I used the shell cracker. All of the other past times at other Red Lobster Restaurants the shells were soft, making it hard to get the meat out and taking forever! However, I love snow crab legs, so I would hang in there not knowing that all the other times the snow crab legs have been overcooked. Ordered to-go and the disappointment was endless. Fairly certain I was given a cup of soup when I paid for a bowl. It was tiny. No discernible lobster in it either. Went with a party of 9 for my birthday!! Service was excellent especially with our waitress Chantal B. Our order was taken promptly and we got our food not long afterwards. Chantal came around often to get any other requests we had. After our dinner, she brought me a big piece of chocolate cake on a plate that said Happy Birthday!! This location has dropped in quality. Our table was 18 and consisted of various entrees. I noticed anything breaded was on the dry spectrum. The mussles were a bit too spry for my liking. The hamburger would have been the only dish cooked to perfection. The shrimp wasn't overwhelm holy seasoning but taste was off and it seemed like they just randomly seasoned unlike following the Red lobster recipe. The fried item were definitely cooked with perfection. Pizza was descent. Our server did an amazing job to manage all the orders. Restaurant was clean and service was speedy. Another restaurant review coming at you courtesy of Red Lobster. This time in Santa Fe. We came here after a very long but productive day and I was feeling very much in the mood for salmon. We didn't have to wait long as there were only two of us, and opened up a booth near the bar to accommodate us. Freddie was our server and did an excellent job taking care of us. After having a cup of New England Clam Chowder. Mark had a shrimp bowl and found it to be very good. I opted for the grilled salmon (pictured here), with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious, but if you know anything about me, you don't even have to gamble on my taking home leftovers. Oh, and can we stop for a second and talk about those biscuits... Local here. I've never had such a horrible experience in Santa Fe in my life. As soon as you walk in you get hit with the strongest smell of sewer water and cheese, the host/busser people looked like crackheads and they seemed very snooty and standoffish, not welcoming at all. I'm a regular at my hometown RL and while working at the Lab, had an urge for one or the advertised Lobster/Shrimp meals... my usual is Rainbow trout platters w/shrimp and am always satisfied with the meal and service. Drove down tonight (Friday) to a full parking lot but no waiting line... still, decided to eat in the bar and watch some soccer. Waitress was very courteous and timely throughout the meal. Started with a Sam Adams and those awesome cheddar garlic biscuits. Ordered the Lobster Overboard with clam chowder instead of salad, which was very hot and delicious as normal. The lobsters are mini in size and split then broiled with seasoning and I asked to have fried shrimp in place of the broiled ones. The platter includes seasoned potato wedges and a good sized ear of seasoned corn and two small broiled kielbasa links. Definitely sounds delicious. The meal was delivered quickly just as I was finishing the chowder. Everything seemed hot, fresh from the grill, however the lobsters were over cooked to the point that I couldn't pull the meat from the shell. It just shredded with the fork. Ended up having to cut and pry it out with the butter knife. Very difficult and messy. Ended up chewing them out like crab legs.. great seasoning, but over cooked... the fried shrimp was a bit over cooked as well. There's a fine line between correctly cooked and over cooked with shellfish, and in both cases, I would say about 2 mins too long. The corn was a little tough, but seasoned well, the baked seasoned potato wedges were dry and the larger ones hard in the middle. The sausage did not look fresh, as it was severely wrinkled like yesterday's links... still, good flavor, but probably from the seasoning sprinkled over everything as it left the kitchen. Honestly, I'll still keep going back for my regular fix of trout, but probably won't spend $45 w/tip for this entre' again. 2.5 stars for the food, 4.5 for service.... now I'm hungry again... ! read more
