It's actually lobster fest at the moment and I cannot believe the shrimp size lobster tail I received tonight. Gone in two small bites. I had a identical seafood boil, delivered nine months ago, and my only complaint was that there was no extra sauce to dip in. Group of 7 for monthly Monday lunch meetup and we were seated near back of dining room. The receptionist didn't seem to understand that we had a reservation and seemed unprepared and surprised when our group arrived. So, we were unable to have our usual server and had to scoot another table together ourselves when she tried to seat us at a table meant for 6. I tried the coconut shrimp (5 pieces) with a pineapple sauce on the side along with steamed broccoli. All items were perfectly cooked and tasted great. Cheddar biscuits were warm and delicious. Refills were somewhat delayed at times and understandably since restaurant was fairly full during our visit. Restrooms are fairly well maintained. Plenty of free parking and a handicap accessible ramp is installed at the entrance. read more

We went to red lobster last night and it was great. For an appetizer we got the cheese sticks. they give you a good amount. I got the admiral's feast as well as my son. It consisted of broiled salmon with Cajun seasoning, a lobster tail, coconut shrimp, uncle walts shrimp, Brussel sprouts, and coleslaw. My son got the identical meal. we both enjoyed our meals. My wife got the shrimp cocktail and bacon wrapped scallops. She loved the scallops. She couldn't eat all of her shrimp so we had to help her. Darn! Their cheese biscuits are always good. We always get the server Fatima. She is our favorite and she is wonderful!!! She better not leave. We will return. read more

Overall, it was good. Food: The seafood was fresh and the flavor was average. I recommend the pasta. It wasn't too oily, and the shrimp had a good taste. Service: My server checked on us from time to time. However, we were offered 2 sides, one was coleslaw, which was not served. We let the server know, and he made a quick correction. Atmosphere: This is a nice restaurant on a nice day. We booked a table in advance through Google, and plenty of seats were available, so we were seated without waiting. However, despite plenty of empty seats, the restaurant's receptionist seated us right in front of the restroom. We didn't realize it initially, but many people walked past us to use the restroom. We were able to eat our meal with the smell of the restroom. Dear Manager! If you are seating guests at a restaurant, I suggest first seating them away from the restroom. read more

They came out with this awesome biscuits (so yummy). My wife went with fish sandwich (flounder) that comes with fries. The food was excellent and our server, Chloe was great! I forgot how good seafood tested when cooked properly and our shrimp and lobster tails were top notch. The only negative was when the manager complained about helping a server split tables and berated him in the dining room - not professional and made me feel uncomfortable. read more

Took my mother in law here for her 96th birthday and she really enjoyed it! Of course the rolls are a Big Hit and she ate some! I ordered her the Lobster Duel along with myself! This came with 2 lobster tails, salad and Baked Potato! My 96 year old mother in law ate everything along with myself! They even sung Happy Birthday to her and gave her a dessert! She had to take that home and when we were getting ready to go the waitress & manager came up to her to tell her that her meal was free and have a good Birthday! I have always enjoyed Red Lobster, but it is not the same place it use to be. Restaurant was clean and not very busy. Lobster bisque was good, but the main entree was not. Salmon was not cooked all the way through. Lobster tail was good and who doesn't love the biscuits. I hate they changed up the tarter sauce it was nasty with strong dill flavor. Thebplace is located conveniently in St. Matthews. We ordered the unlimited shrimp for $20 this New Years. There was no big crowd but the wait for food tool awhile. We enjoyed the shrimp Alfredo and their grilled shrimp. Also, can't go wrong with cheddar biscuits. read more

Waitress led us to a table with 3 small pieces of trash on the floor at the entrance of our booth. She brought appetizer and did not leave plates to use. We asked for plates and she brought 2 for 3 of us. We made do. She was nice; but clueless. She seemed reticent to refill iced tea and water. Instead of refilling glasses, she brought new glasses. Food was mediocre. Biscuits were room temp. Calamari was heavily breaded and seemed more like onion rings. Menu changes were disappointing. Their cheddar bay biscuits are awesome! I'm only giving 3 stars mostly because the quality of their food has decreased over the past 5 years while prices have increased. While this chain has really tried to reinvigorate its menu, this restaurant just does not hold the place in my heart that it once held. There are so many other restaurants that serve better quality at comparable prices. Also, the dated decor does not invite me to return. This location, in St Matthews, is always a pleasure to dine, rather dine in or their still, so helpful, curbside. Their lunch choices are a bargain and sooo good. If you want a real treat, try their Coconut shrimp lunch option. Huge and plentiful shrimp with a sweet sauce so good you want to drink it!!! And still, with their great choices of 2 sides. We opted for the baked potato and side salad. Can always count on consistent, food and service. Needed a little help with our rewards, using our free dessert....cheesecake!! Called direct to restaurant and manager assisted with no problem. The staff there is always sooo courteous. A fifteen minute ride home and our food was still warm and ready to eat. Visited for Lobster Fest on a Saturday night. Had a 30 min wait, not bad. Our server was great! We had calamari for appetizer, came out fresh, hot and yummy. Not chewy, light and full of flavor. Wished we could have swapped out the shrimp Alfredo for the cheaper Cajun Chicken Alfredo in the holiday pick three as we always have in the past, but the manager told us no this time, so the hubs just got Cajun Chicken Alfredo meal. It was cheaper by about $20, so their loss. I had coconut shrimp & snow crab. As always they were great, & the pasta was good but they made the chicken large chunks instead of bite size and a little skimpy with the sauce compared to other times we have been here. I ordered crispy brussel sprouts with my meal & never got them, so that was unfortunate. Hubs never got a refill on his tea even though it sat empty for the majority of our meal. It's been a long time since I have been here I have found Louisville a limited place to seek seafood if you want to do it on a rational budget there is no such thing as good cheap seafood but I don't think I should have to spend half a hundred dollars for a nice meal. Red lobster has given me a nice lunch at a price that wasn't too painful. The admirals feast gives you a variety of choices scallops, clams,fish, and shrimp . Ok so I haven't been to Red lobster in like 5 ever. Although this wasn't my choice; it was my 12 year olds choice . It was her idea of a fancy smancy restaurant. For her birthday she wanted crab legs and the experience of Red Lobster. I haven't been back to this franchise in years! It's my mom's favorite restaurant, so we decided to go for lunch on Mother's Day. My sister and I got here around 11:45 to make sure we could get a table. They don't take reservations. No issue for us though. We got seated right away. Parking was no trouble either. Lots of spots were open. But as we left, the parking lot was chaotic and many parties were waiting on a table. It's a huge place that relies more on natural light. The place is dimly lit and reminds me of a cabin. It's got pictures of sea coast life all over too. Gotta love the complimentary cheddar biscuits! They're buttery and soft and I could've eaten more than two if I hadn't restrained myself. Each biscuit has about 100 calories, so I'd be careful. They have a new "Tastings Plates" section on the menu if you want to try multiple items. It's a good deal and they are good portion sizes. I had to take advantage, so I ordered the Yucatán shrimp and the lobster and shrimp roll. They were both delicious and again, good portion sizes. I didn't want to be overly full. I added asparagus on the side which were also tasty. My sister got the lobster tacos. She enjoyed them with broccoli on the side. Yum! It's nice to have more than just shrimp or fish tacos on the menu. My dad got grilled salmon with broccoli and a baked potato. He inhaled his meal! The portion size for his meal was perfect! My mom got the Yucatán tilapia and shrimp. It was similar to my Yucatán shrimp with the same pineapple and jalapeño salsa on top. It came with rice. Flavorful with a nice kick! She couldn't finish and brought the rest home. My parents both had the house salad with a vinaigrette that they both enjoyed. The salad looked like nothing special, but at least they got their serving of vegetables. My mom also decided to get the mango strawberry daiquiri minus the alcohol. It wasn't overly sweet and tasted almost like a sorbet. It's very much just juice. It seemed like a healthy option. Very refreshing as well! I had to get the sweet tea with my meal. It was way better than the one at O'Charley's but about as good as McAlister's. So so good! I was shocked! Our server was fantastic! All smiles and quick to bring us anything we needed. She checked up on us a lot too. One thing I do like about this establishment is that the seafood tastes fresh. My taste buds could be wrong but I could taste how fresh my lobster roll was. Wow! I wanted utensils. Got none Also asked for delivery person to knock on the door. The delivery person did not knock on my door. The only way I knew my food was delivered, was by text. OH.MY.GOD!!!! What a wonderful experience! I came with my dad on a Saturday at 11:30am and we were immediately seated. We got a nice booth by the window which was what we requested. To begin with I had a virgin piña colada and it was the best one I have ever had! It was so good! I decided to get the White Wine and Roasted Garlic Mussels and the Seaside Sampler which included Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp and Signature Shrimp Cocktail. My dad had the Live Maine Lobster with a baked potato and green beans. Every single thing we got was delicious but the mussels, lobster and coconut shrimp were by far the best! WOW! Now for dessert, I usually always go for whatever has chocolate. BUT, it is a sin to come here and not get the Key Lime Pie. It is the most amazing dessert I can recommend, and I don't even like lime! Last but not least, service was top-notch. Andre was very attentive and cordial! I have no complaints. The service was absolutely amazing! Tiffany really took care of us and made sure we had all the shrimp our lil hearts desired. We all had the lobster pizza as our appetizer and for the main course we tried every shrimp option besides the retched coconut shrimp! For our side french fries and orzo rice. The orzo rice was a skimpy serving but that was quickly fixed. I took away a star because the female manager running around had a nasty attitude. We were near the kitchen and could hear her yelling at the servers about their tables not being clean fast enough for her and see her cone out flustered and upset. No one wants to hear or see that!
