Moby Dick still delivers. It had been years since I had it but glad I returned. All my food was on point and popping. Fish, big onion rings, and other sides were good. Hot, tasty, and fresh. No line when I arrived so the service was fast and the lady who took order was friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside was the dated decor, I think it needs a refresh to attach a younger crowd. I noticed only seniors customers like myself in the place. Bottom line the food and service was very good. Will definitely keep coming back again and again. read more

Most Dick has great fish. However, prices went up significantly and the portions have gone down just as much. $2 more for a Whale of a Sandwich, sure, I get it...prices have gone up everywhere. I'll pay it for a quality fish sandwich. If you want less for your money then go right ahead and go here. I go to moby dick all the time and get a fish box for 2, there are usually 4 long pieces of fish in the box, this is the first time i have been to this moby dick, when i got home i only got 4 small pieces of fish, half the size of the regular fish. so that equaled out to 2 reg pieces of fish, i called and the manager said sorry,and would not make it right, i paid 25.00 for this and didn't get 25.00 worth of food, bad business and i will never go back, also the side were mushy and full of grease. sad read more

Moby Dick has long been a local favorite of mine. I've never been to this location before until the other day, and I must say it's completely different. Not in a good way either! I'm assuming they have different owners than others around town that I've visited. The fish portions were thinner and smaller than the others around town. They appear more like frozen fish that you'd buy from Costco or Sam's Club. They were cooked fresh and hot, but it just wasn't up to par with other locations around town. Please switch back to the fish and breading that you used before as I just will not be willing to pay that price for what I was served on this visit. The staff was very courteous and professional, so they do deserve some kudos. read more

I was so excited to go to Moby Dick tonight. Their food is usually on point and delicious! Tonight was different. Same prices. MUCH different food! The fish portions were tiny! They're usually huge, flakey and juicy. The little fish squares that I got from there tonight looked like they had come out of a bag of frozen fish from Costco. The breading was different. Not good. Just not good! We ordered a box for two which usually comes with five HUGE pieces of fish or four very large pieces, french fries and two gargantuan hush puppies. We got 4 1/2 tiny pieces of fish, enough fries for just over one person and two nugget hush puppies. Several other Moby Dick's in the area have closed. I'm guessing because of the pandemic and because none of these kids want to work in fast food anymore. They all want to be famous on TikTok and only fans. Lol! So if this is what they're going to do to try and stay open, compromise the quality of the food and the quantity of the food that you're paying for, go ahead and close. Sorry. Not sorry. read more

This place use to sit on the other side of Bardstown Rd on the same side as Walmart, but now sits near PNC in the same shopping center as AutoZone. This place is pricey for what I consider fast food, but the servings are large and filling. I can't never finish my plate. The food is tasty. My favorite are the corn nuggets and fried mushrooms. Todays Friday Lenten Fish visit is Moby Dick. With COVID-19 protocols in place the visit was quite a bit out of the ordinary. The weather was nice which allows the door to be open. Several people were hanging around on the sidewalk and there is a large sign posted to come in, physically separated and place your order. Everyone was doing a good job with this. The girls behind the counter were masked up, also good to see. After placing the order the reccomendation was to hang out on the sidewalk or keep your distance. Considering our relative state of mental being in a pandemic, the workers and those picking up were all in good spirits. We split the two piece fish dinner with hush puppies, fries and slaw. I ordered an extra pup and onion rings, rounded out with an unsweetened tea. Great job. Order was ready in less than 5 minutes and we were on our way. Moby's Onion rings are some of the better ones you'll find. I think they have some kind of proprietary machine tha cranks them out. Most places the proprietary machine is a bag of mass produced frozen circles of onion. if only they had a bigger order....gotta fight for your right to rings with my significant other. Moby's is usually a go-to fish place for us. I prefer the cornmeal breading and they are generally fast. A special shout out to the National Turnpike location as well. Have had a lot of lunch visits there and the folks there do a great job. read more

This is the worst Moby Dick's for fish and customer service. I wanted to substitute greens for french fries on the fish box (both were the same price) and the manager said " we are not allowed to do that". After I had paid for my two sandwiches and two greens, I was told that I could have ordered a meal and substituted the slaw for greens. Why didn't the manager give me this option? Because the staff are very rude and do not care about the customer. Plus the fish was so greasy that the grease broke my carry out bag! I love the fish at other Moby Dicks but DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE.
