There's tartar sauce that comes with the order and the extra one I asked for. Very disappointing. Not sure I'll return to this location.

I went in the Drive-Thru and wonderful Julia took my order. She was so friendly and I really enjoyed the encounter. I did ask for extra tartar sauce, as I like a lot on my fish. I received two small plastic containers, and was just overall disappointed in the food. The pieces of fish have shrunken in size and you do not get any of the crispies in your box.

I got two other six dollar fish boxes for mediocre pieces of fish the fries were nothing but crumbles the hush puppies were cold and they gave me two packs of tartar sauce for four pieces of fish if this is supposed to be their flagship I understand why it's going out of business!

    Chicken planks, waffle fries.

Once was enough. More people got money back then people got food. Waited 20 minutes for my online order.

St Aloysius is located in the downtown portion of small Shephedsville Kentucky tucked away In a residential neighborhood. Like most Catholic fish Fry's the speciality is fish sandwiches. But they will serve other things such as oysters, shrimp, onion rings and desserts. This fish fry the last few years has been drive thru only. Me and my family enjoy checking out several Catholic Church fish fry's during Lenten season and when some of our close family friends who belong to st aloysius told us to try this we grabbed an order and went to there house and had family dinner together. Pricing is on par with other fish frys. $6 a fish sandwich. They actually had a pretty large dessert menu that included a home made chocolate cake from the priest. The priest took our order so I actually ordered a slice. Our fish sandwich was pretty good. Not the best local fish fry sandwich but still good. I'd still rather have this than a fast food chain any day. Good sized and nice flavor. The shrimp was solid. A little over cooked on this visit. My wife said the onion rings and oysters was pretty good and we got the kids a cheese pizza slice and they said it was alright. Kinda on par with a little Cesar's if they had to make a comparison. For desserts we got a normal chocolate cake, an awesome chocolate cake (this is what the priest named his homemade one), a brownie and a Chocolate mint brownie. The brownies were huge and tasty. Was kinda shocked to see a mint chocolate brownie at a smaller church fish fry but it was good. Both chocolate cakes were pretty good. I tried both and I will say fathers was better. He did a good job on his hand made cake. Overall nice fish fry. I do have some in person ones locally I prefer that have better fish and fun activities. But, this one is nice too and the workers were all great. We would come back for sure.

LeeAnn was hands down one of the funniest servers I've ever had. She kept us laughing the whole time and made the experience even better. The cocktail menu features several cocktail specialties, a deep wine and bourbon menu, some other spirits, and a variety of primarily KY brewed beers. I had a couple of the latter options, and each of my two beers (neither of which I'd had before, a "Stone House" traditional lager and a "Kentucky Commons" low ABV cream ale). Our table split a couple of appetizers--the chili wantons and the spinach dip. Both were good with the slight edge to the wantons as they were fairly unique and very flavorful. The menu is not overwhelming--there are just over a dozen or so primary entree options but each looked very promising. I ended up going with the special, which that night was sea bass on jasmine rice with tomatoes. The sea bass was parmesan encrusted and super flavorful, literally every bite of my meal was on point. Great sauce that wasn't overwhelming, the fish and rice perfectly cooked, the little cherry tomatoes the best I've had all season. My wife had the fish tacos and loved them as well. Service was friendly. For the quality and ingredients, prices were fair. I'd say the drinks are even cheap. Dessert looked great, but none of us had room to try any. It was a rainy night and we were in the basement area, which is covered but doesn't have full enclosure, so it was loud as the rain hit the side covering, but dry and nice overall. We noticed two of the bar areas were empty on our way out, which looked like nice quiet places to meet. There's also the full upstairs dining room which looked nice. Reservations highly recommended.

The reviews complimented the food, service and atmosphere so we gave it a try and we were glad we did! We walked into to a classic sports bar that had old school sports bar character. The staff immediately greeted us and promptly led us to our table. The menu is large and varied. One surprise was that they had lobster bisque- we all ordered that as an appetizer. My son ordered wings with fries and coleslaw and my wife and I ordered potato skins. The bisque was very good. When they brought out the rest of the order, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the buffalo wings. For some reason, so many restaurants have turned to serving miniature, anemic chicken wings thinking the customer doesn't care. Bungalow Joes is one of the rare places to serve legitimate chicken wings and legs. They were huge and delicious!!! The potato skins were smaller but full of flavor. The coleslaw was a winner- they called it Caribbean coleslaw and described it as sweeter than typical coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweeter and my son and wife loved it. The fires were good, as well. All in all, we had a great lunch at Bungalow Joe's. Our waitress was great, the food was legit and the atmosphere was perfect for a sports bar. The wings ensured that we will be back. Thank you Bungalow Joe's!!!

The pickle chips were a little on the salty side. The fish dinner entree was really good with well apportioned pieces of fish, fresh onion rings and cole slaw which was a little weird with the pineapple in them but still tasty. My server was really nice and ensured everything was delivered in a timely manner. Next time I will try a burger and see how that goes.
