Great authentic food with great service! They give you more than enough for the price.

A colleague from Syria let me in on the hidden gem that is Syrian Grill. He, rightly so, misses the food of his homeland, and has mentioned that this place gives him the warm fuzzies of home. As a plant-based person, I was worried there wouldn't be enough options, but was delighted to find I could easily and deliciously make a meal of tabbouleh, baba ghanoush, and hummus. If you are used to the typical American hummus and baba ghanoush, you may at first have some hesitation about Syrian Grill's, as they add a little more tahini and a little less salt. These are not bad things. I ordered our food to go, which was very good, as later on was definitely glimpsed to be licking the last dregs of magic off my fingers. The bread is kept in a warmer, so was perfect for scooping up my dips. The baklava is also VERY nice - definitely get this. Syrian Grill - you have my heart and my stomach.

Service was great! Super friendly and fast! Will definitely stop by again for lunch or get takeout from here! The atmosphere was very casual and comfortable. You order at the counter, food is brought to you, and then you go pay at the counter before you leave . We shared hummus, a single chicken biryani meal, and a chicken shawarma wrap with fries. All were good, but I think our favorite was the chicken shawarma wrap. When I come back I hope to try kebabs and one of the sandwiches!

After passing Syrian Grill so many times, I finally got the chance to order takeout from here today. And it won't be the last time. I ordered the chicken biryani meal. The pics of that bright yellow rice and giant pieces of chicken did me in. And this lived up to my expectations. This is a huge portion, and I ate it all. The chicken had the best flavor and practically fell off the bone. I didn't really need a knife to eat it. And I loved that rice. I also got a small portion of hummus. I'm always interested to see how Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurants make their hummus. This was smooth with great tang. One small suggestion, though: Please include one or two pieces of pita bread with an order of hummus or at least include that as an upcharge option. My mother-in-law, who picked up our meal, said that the restaurant offers free tea to those who are waiting. This is a nice touch! I'm looking forward to eating inside this restaurant soon!

My friend told me about this place last year when it opened! This time, my friends and I were grabbing bubble tea from Sharetea and decided to try this place out. They've got booths, so we sat and dined in. We all ordered the chicken shawarma which came with fries and shared a salad and hummus. Good price for the portion! Like $7 for the shawarma I think? I was stuffed and couldn't finish. Took some of it home. The salad was good! Very refreshing taste! The hummus was different but still delicious! It came with a ton of pita that we couldn't finish. I'd come back and try a falafel or something else I haven't had off the menu. Food came quick! We waited maybe 5-7 minutes for the food. Parking isn't great but we came so late in the afternoon for lunch that it wasn't too bad.

W.O.W this place was the perfect ending to our weekend gateway in Louisville. First, let me say that the service was fantastic very friendly and helpful about the menu. If you want great food that doesn't break the bank check this place out. Now let's talked about the food. Chicken Biryani- was tender and delicious it s packed with spices and flavor. The rice was off so good! Highly recommend getting extra rice (it reheats well). The chicken was tender that the bones just fall off! Tabbouleh - was such a great palate cleaner it's so fresh and delicious. None of the food pre-made even the tabbouleh. Everything is made as you order. Lamb bbq- was probably my favorite. The ground lamb meat was perfectly season and it does not taste gamey. I could easily eat 3 in one seating. Chicken Shawarma- my GF got the chicken shawarma and it's the best chicken she had ever had. It was very flavorful and it's cooked on the vertical grill. We saw them use the drippings and pour it on top of the meat to prevent it from drying.

Really good Middle Eastern food. We ordered from the counter and found a nice booth to dine at. The service is very nice & we were treated kindly. We look forward to coming back.

Nice people, great food and reasonable prices. I sure was impressed and that's saying something. I got the mixed grill plate to go to share with my husband. We were both stuffed and complimentary of everything. There were a couple of pieces on the dry side and of course as with any restaurant too much sodium intake. I loved all the meats, the rice, the grilled veggies. Next time I'm going to try one of their dipping sauces. I don't think they just give those guys out but you can ask for them. While a was waiting the owner gave me a piece of baklava to try. The staff seem happy to be there which is refreshing. I can't wait to come back.

I go here often for lunch but I'm leaving this review after getting the family meal to go. As you can see the chicken shawarma family meal was massive. I have a wife and 3 children and it lasted us 2.5 days. It was perfect and that's great for $50. Highly recommend.

The buffet wasn't huge, and she let me know right away that almost all the food was spicy. I had my daughters with me, who don't handle a lot of spice well. I told her we would try it, and she offered to make them a few extra dishes. I thanked her, but told her not to trouble herself. The girls did try the food, but ended up eating mostly rice and a little bread. (Picky, but they tried some new things.) When I went to pay, the owner only charged me for my meal! She said the girls didn't eat much. Even so, they used silverware, dishes, took up space, etc. I really appreciated her kindness and wanted to spread the word about this underrated restaurant. I really enjoyed the food, and I will go back soon!

I got the paneer kadai, if you like vegetarian options and tomato-based foods, this is it. It came with 2-3 days worth of food (kadai, rice, naan). Off-putting, but not the end of the world. Once I finally got my food it had the nerve to be BLAND! I was shocked. I ordered the vegetable biryani medium and both my partner and I had to double check I didn't order Mild. I genuinely could not believe the spice level was accurate as my "Medium" tasted so plain. My peshwari naan, which I'm used to being folded tightly with a generous amount of cashews, raisins and coconut, had mostly cashews and I'm not even kidding, only 3 golden raisins. It was slightly burnt, barely sweet, and short of my expectations. Lastly, I would be remiss if I did not mention how LITTLE mango chutney we received. After paying $3 for 2 ounces, the little container wasn't even half filled. I understand it's a small side but that level of stinginess could not go overlooked. I've heard so many good things about this place, but was ultimately disappointed in every area as a takeout order. Admittedly I probably should have ordered spicy, given how I prefer things on the hotter side, but that doesn't change that medium spice should still have vibrant, delicious flavor and my food unfortunately had none of that. I will not be returning. :/

There were no parking spots available when we arrived (would usually walk but had mother-in-law in her 90's with us). There was a long line of people waiting to get in. The whipped ricotta was so delicious. The appetizer my MIL got was very good according to her (and she can be hard to please). She also loved the Brie salad. My Caesar salad was very tasty (the capers are a nice touch). My husband got the market fish entree and nearly licked the plate clean because it was so good. The only thing I did not enjoy was the noise level. It was a Monday, but the place was packed. It was very difficult to have a conversation at the table.
