We've lived in Lacey for almost 20 years and somehow never made it to Red Lobster. We really didn't know what to expect, but after finally going, we're wondering why we waited so long. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff was friendly and attentive, and our waiter Evyn was fantastic. He was funny, genuinely kind, and struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering. He really made the experience great. The food was excellent. I had a platter with shrimp, lobster, crab, and sides, and my wife ordered the three shrimp combo. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh and high quality. First, the positives: excellent service from Krista. Food was decent albeit a bit salty. Portions were generous. My dining partner had the sailors platter. She rates it 4.5 out of 5. I had the lobster and shrimp linguine which I rate as a 3.5. I liked it, but it could have used fresh parmesan and not quite so much salt. I was dubious as to the amount of lobster chunks but it was adequate. The negatives: $4 for a cup of tea!!! Also $4 for a soda! We were hungry. We had not been to a red lobster in forever and since then, the menu looks very different so it took us a while to orient ourselves. My first peeve was that the drink menu has no prices. What's that about. So we had to ask and she had to go find out/ the Long Island iced tea I got was very solid and $14 I think- why not put the prices on the menu? Oh well. Then we ordered a clam chowder for me, I was not that hungry. And he ordered the fried fish with baked potatoe (I think) and the cheesy breads. It was a bountiful portion with 3 solid fish cuts so he was happy to take some home. As for my clam chowder... it was just meh. I found some clam smidges and felt the thickening agent- and I've had many better. Oh well also got a side Caesar salad that was fresh. I was really excited to try the new Lobster Pappardelle, but I couldn't get over the taste of margarine in the sauce. Mother's Day Disappointment! My first time being taken to dinner here with daughter & Son (and my daughter's boyfriend) My daughter made reservations for 6:45 in which we arrive right on time. First issue: W had to wait 28 more minutes for our "reserved table" because they seated others! Why make reservations if you can't hold up to it? 2nd complaint: Everyone had glass cups and we got plastic cups... Yes those clear plastic picnic cups. Are you kidding me that you're ok bringing me a plastic cup on Mother's Day? Here's how the dinner went. We get some salty red lobster famous biscuits but I mean these baby's were salty. We ate them with because we were all hungry. Takes us 10 min to order. The nightmare begins... We get drinks. My daughter's colada drink or whatever was so sweet and nasty it literally tasted like some dollar store coffee flavoring. The waiter refilled our biscuits and the Pepsi for my daughter boyfriend. Next we order our food. I'm noticing that the service is not so great and the ambiance setting for me was slowly fading away. I'm trying not to get upset asvi just got out of the hospital and currently on medication to keep me alive so this dinner was more to me that maybe some. 3 times the waiter came by to tell us once our food was going to take some time, then it should be another 20 min or so. And lastly they are plating up our food. Then some other female waitress finally brings our appetizer which was stuffed mushrooms. Boyfriend's solid were frozen The brussel sprouts that my son and daughter 's boyfriend got were burnt yuk just yuk The chicken on my daughter and son 's alfredo tasted like a rubber something. It was really weird and chewy and some of their fettuccine noodles were hard.! So gross! Thankfully I was the lucky one and went with the three shrimp trail and everything was perfect with mine. No complaints whatsoever on that one! I guess you can say shrimp ain't that hard to make so that's why my dinner was so much easier and didn't have any issues??? I don't care how busy you are when someone has a reservation there's a reason why. We had other plans after and didn't make it because we didn't get done with dinner until 9pm (remember we got there at 6:45om and had to still wait to be seated!) I gave one extra star just for the fact they were swamped but that's not my problem. A restaurant needs to not have reservations if they can't hold up to it. I can't say if I'll ever go back. I mean I can cook and could actually own a restaurant myself, but it's nice to have special moments where my children want to take me out to dinner. I normally don't because I cook at chef level and like my own food and love to host dinners for my friends and family. I do hold larger restaurants like this to higher standards as well. We all didn't want to tip. Our bill was $134 and we contemplated leaving a decent tip but we left a $25 tip which honestly was not the tip for the service we got. It was more like worth $5 and we tip well and according to the service we receive. This was our second visit to this restaurant and we were happy to have been able to treat ourselves here for a great seafood meal. The food was delicious and plentiful and at just the right temperature. Our waiter was pleasant and worked efficiently despite being so busy. My husband was a little bummed that they ran out of the Bairdi crab, however he said the snow crabs were still just as good. We were seated quickly and our hostess was wonderful. The food wasn't as wonderful. Baked potatoes were never done 11:30am, then they were out of them, two ladies took theirs home,. Fish and chips..lunch special was one small piece of fish that was dried out and had lots of breading at each end and lots of fries barely warm, shrimp that were not cooked well and lobster that was cooked to death. Through the years I have been to this particular Red Lobster in the Lacey/Olympia area multiple times. I can count on one hand the number I've times I've been disappointed. I am unable to keep track of the number of times I have been completely satisfied as the service and food is typically amazing. Last night was another typical great trip. We love going on Mondays for the Ultimate Endless Shrimp and always ask to be seated in Teri's section. Teri has been one of the best servers I've experienced. Always makes sure you have plenty to eat and drink to satisfaction, knows that happy medium of being professional and yet joke and laugh with you, and treats you like you are her family and not some stranger. Obviously great food and great prices is one reason to keep going back, but with an employee like that, it is just more reason to return. read more

We ordered the Crab Linguini Family meal to go which comes with a Caesar Salad, Crab Linguini, and 12 cheddar biscuits for 4-6 people. When I arrived at the restaurant the server advised that we will only get 2 biscuits. I said on the website it states 12 and she said we don't see that on our end but you can purchase more if you like. It did not make sense to me but I wasn't trying to make it a big deal. After some thought, I just didn't understand why it was advertised and why I was only being offered 2 complimentary but to get more I needed to purchase. My friend was going to purchase the same at this location but after telling her my experience. She ended up stopping at the Tacoma location and received her order as advertised online with the 12 biscuits. So that frustrated the situation because we should have received what was advertised online.. no questions asked and without justification. My husband called the location to clarify.. he spoke to the manager who was really polite and accommodating but I think the situation had already boiled over and my husband didn't really want to hear it anymore. I know the matter is just biscuits but I think after a customer provides detailed proof of what needs to be in the order, there should have been no push back. And we shouldn't have needed to call the manager to be offered the biscuits and free dessert when the order should have reflected what was advertised on the website anyways. And our waitress kept the shrimp rolling! This waitress was the best we have ever had at Red Lobster... 9/7/22 was my xxth birthday. I ordered a filet mignon, loaded baked potato and salad. They did call to tell me they were out of my salad dressing choice and I was able to choose another. Appreciated that. When I arrived, my food was ready within 1-2 minutes of my arriving. No complaints there. However, I paid $2.49 for bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions and didn't receive the cheddar cheese. They weren't out of it as there was cheddar cheese on my salad. Also my steak was inconsistently done and in many cases overdone. I ordered it medium rare. A few bites were medium rare, most were medium and some were well done. Most of it was at least edible and my dog joined my birthday celebration and thoroughly enjoyed the well done steak along with the little bit of gristle that shouldn't be in a filet mignon. Overall. a better experience than my last one but you still need to improve. read more

Let me say the staff was very nice. Our waiter was good and the receptionist was very nice. That was the best part of this experience. When we first walked in the receptionist let us know they just slowed down after a busy period. We were walked back to our table and as we walked I noticed every table on the way was piled with dirty dishes. When we got to our table it still had a used cup on it and had pieces of food and water on it. The receptionist was very apologetic and she wiped it off with a package of wet wipes she had on a station. We sat down and ordered and as we waited a very long time none of the tables were being cleaned at all. It really made me fell like the whole restaurant was dirty. The waiter came to our table several times to apologize for the delay on our food. I finally asked him if he could have the other tables cleaned which he did himself. Finally our food came. To say I was underwhelmed by the quality of this food would be an understatement. let's just start with my wife's food. Her steak was the consistency of shoe leather. The mashed potatoes still taste it like the cardboard box they came out of the only good part on her plate the broccoli which they barely gave you any of. I ordered the Hawaiian shrimp salad. The shrimp was actually not that bad. It would've been better had it not been laying on a bed of withered lettuce the garnish on the lettuce had every onion in the kitchen, chopped into it. I also ordered a baked potato, which was very good, but the waiter forgot to bring it until halfway through my original dinner. All in all the food was not good. The general look and condition of the restaurant was not good. The only good thing about the experience was the staff who was very apologetic for all the things that were wrong with our evening.
