It's been years since we've been to Red Lobster but we were craving for some seafood, specifically crab legs and decided to go there since that's their specialty. We came at 3 pm on a Sunday and there was no line and didn't have to wait to get seated. For a party of 3, the waitress gave us like 6 of the cheddar biscuits. Definitely what Red Lobster is known for and was delicious to eat. 5 stars We ordered crispy dragon calamari as a starter- they asked if we wanted the spicy sauce mixed in the calamari already or on the side, we opted on the side. The calamari was a bit salty and their sauce had a unique spicy flavor that was hard to describe. Wasn't bad at all. Rating 4 out of 5 stars For the main entree, my wife choose the Mariner seafood boil- which has lobster , shrimp, corn, potato and crab legs. She added sausage which was an extra cost. Chose spicy flavor and garlic butter that was added into the bag where the contents was put in a pan. I tried the spicy butter sauce and it had a nice kick to it. My wife's only complaint she shared was that the contents of the seafood boil was that it wasn't hot temperature wise. Not sure if it was sitting in the kitchen long but that was her complaint. 4 stars As for me, I opted for the crab your way and got the snow crabs with the roasted garlic butter. The snow crab legs came with toasted potato wedges that was under the crab legs. I really enjoyed mine and the potatoes was crispy and crunchy. The roasted garlic butter was plentiful and was a pleasant surprise. I got the mash potatoes as a side which I realize was redundant with the crispy potatoes. I would have likely chosen a rice or other vegetables. Service was top notch. Not only did our waitress check on us but other staff as well. When we left, there was a ton of people waiting inside to be seated as well as out so my tip would be to go there like we did around 2-3 pm Overall, we got our crab leg fix and enjoyed our meal. Haven't been to red lobster in a long time. But not much has changed. The prices are good and the service was great. It did get a little pricier but that's with every chain restaurant. I can't imagine why someone would not issue five stars. At some point I must have?!? We were there last night after Beautifica, so glad to be back. I've visited once and got take out once since their rebranding and I can honestly say I'm extremely impressed! This store in particular provided AMAZING customer service, good food and drinks, was clean and much brighter than it was when we last visited a few years ago. A quick add to my prior review. I took a friend there and noticed that the service had slipped a bit. It was so spotty that my colleague was getting annoyed and considering leaving. The issue seemed to be a handoff when the person who seated us went on break, or went home and didn't inform the person who followed her. The colleague fussed a bit on the quality as well. (I was good with the meal I had but, I am a bit more tolerant.) This is sad to see as once great chains sometimes decline over time. I would hate to see Modesto lost another. read more

We got there around 8pm tonight! It was pretty packed! Once seated we were greeted by this amazing gentleman named Michael. Despite being constantly busy with other tables he made sure to give us up dates! Once we got the food everything was perfect and amazing! I will definitely be back here for more! After talking to the manager to find out why they don't have any crap crackers her explanation was the head manager orders them and it takes a while and then to get in and customers take them so they have to come up with a different plan on putting them on the customer trays because they only had three in the whole place tonight And I suggested that the server need to not suggest crab if they don't have the crackers she says was a hit and miss because some people we might have available We might not but to solve the problem. Leticia is amazing! My fiance and I have been coming to this location for years and Leticia is by far the best waitress we've had. She made us feel welcomed and like family the entire visit. Very personable and attentive. She definitely has the right drive and heart for the job. She explained all of the specials and new menu items and gave us refills on our drinks and biscuits without us having to ask. We hope to be helped by her again on our next visit. I got fed up honestly but during this whole time we had to wait for so long and our son was already done eating. I love Red Lobsters Ultimate Endless Shrimp. It's hard to order anything else. It used to be a seasonal thing, but they made it a permanent staple for the moment the waitress told us. I asked for extra of my favorite pina colada dipping sauce for my coconut shrimp, and they more then provided me with enough. We did have to wait a long time for our next order of all you can eat shrimp each time we asked for more. Was there on a weekday approx 3:00 pm, I ordered clam chowder, the flavor was good, however there were scant clams, mostly potatoes and after a few spoonfuls it tasted of too much butter or olive oil. Dining companion ordered steak and lobster, asked for medium cooked, it came very rare, they took it back to fix, I suspect it was microwaved, had to saw it with knife as it was rubbery, could not eat, after bringing it to servers attention, they removed price of the steak. Got here right after opening, and got seated immediately. Got our orders taken within a few minutes, but then waited a few too many minutes for our drinks. Ambience is casual, music wasn't too loud during our visit. Service was exceptional, and food was good. They've definitely changed their biscuits. They used to be so much bigger and actually had the seasoning on them. These are so much smaller and barely have any seasoning on them, such a disappointment. Party of 3, all ordered the endless shrimp with loaded potatoes and a house salad. Shrimp orders included the Walt's Favorite, Shrimp Linguini, Shrimp Scampi, and Grilled Shrimp Skewers. Food was good, however the first plate of food was barely warm, not sure how they just opened and it wasn't even hot food. However the food definitely got hotter as time went on. Food was really good besides the temperature of the first plates. Our waitress, Leticia, definitely was great, didn't let our drinks get halfway empty before bringing out another glass, made sure that she took empty plates from the table, and was always making sure we had refills ready for us when we wanted them. I can see why this place has three stars. It is obvious they are shortstaffed and also that those were staffed are still in training. Taylor, our server was pretty good tonight. However, A couple of times I think she has her plate full. My tea refill took a lot longer than usual but what really bug me was the fact that we were at red lobster to celebrate my husband's birthday and though we did not get the birthday Sunday, Taylor understood how a lot of customers are not into the big singing scene and offered us a scoop of ice cream so we can share. Not five minutes go by, Taylor was telling us that though it's no rush to leave and that we can take our time to just chitchat. So evidently, she already forgot the offer of that scoop of ice cream. First, it's the holidays and they don't decorate for Christmas. So if you're looking for a festive feel, this place will depress you. Secondly they no longer have trout or other catch of the day. As result I had to order their Sirloin steak which was grossly fatty - although they comped me for it. My husband had the seafood bag and the vegetables were soggy and the crab legs too skinny to scrape out the meat. While our server did her best, she evidently did not like me wishing her a Merry Christmas when we were leaving as my greeting was met in silence. S I I f I ordered coconut shrimp and wanted 2 orders I wd get 16.So then they went down to 6 shrimp and raised prices...now you get 3 shrimp each and prices raised again. We won't be back! So sad to see the place I grew up with be reduced to just another corporate greedy money pit. Went on a Wednesday night and it was over a 30 minute wait with several tables open! I understand that it's not a Friday or Saturday, so they were probably short staffed, but over 30 minutes for 2 people is ridiculous. Ambiance was dead. So many empty tables, so little waiters and waitresses which explains why the wait time was so long. Service wasn't great. We waited 45 minutes for our food and unfortunately it was not worth the wait. What's even worse is that they're trying to pass a low quality cut of meat as a filet. I had to send mine back the first time because it was over cooked and tasted like a sirloin steak. I even asked the waitress about it and she assured me that it was a fillet. Definitely was not a fillet. The highlight of the night was after we ate, my wife became sick and started throwing up. Wonderful way to end date night. All to say Red Lobster...do better. That's literally what the shrimp dinner was: Major Sysco frozen shrimp plus a scoop of boxed mashed potatoes. There is only a single option for a side of an actual vegetable. My shrimp-bacon-onion flatbread was pretty good: it's a nice foodie-hipster idea. Their iced tea is surprisingly decent. Servers skittered around as if they were on the verge of a nervous breakdown, so getting timely service or flatware... nah, the key thing is to not make the poor girls cry. The restaurant is clean and looks like someone once tried hard to make it cheerily nautical, then gave up and moved on with life. Music is loud, probably to create the illusion that we're having fun. It's not going to make you sick or disgust you, and if you can glom onto something they put a little effort or creativity into and order some drinks, you'll probably do okay. read more
