Impressed! I hadn't been to Red Lobster since before the new CEO took over and was pleased to see some new items as well as the classics on the menu. It was surprisingly busy on this Tuesday evening, but there was no wait to be seated. I ordered the Tuesday Snow Crab Leg Special. The crab legs were actually super good! They were perfectly warm and tender. They were cooked well and easy to remove from their shells. I ordered the Red Lobster sauce that mixed all the flavor options together. It was very nice and garlicky! I was surprised at how large the portion was. I believe the menu said for $28, you would receive 2 bundles of crab legs but I definitely got more. It comes with a bed of crispy potatoes and an additional side. I was very satisfied with this dish! The only issue I experienced during this meal was the timeliness of service. This, however, has nothing to do with the servers themselves. There was what looked like only one waiter serving the whole entire restaurant. By the time our food started coming out, it had gotten very busy. Still, the lone waiter was running around the whole restaurant. Despite tending to an extreme amount of tables on his own, he still did a fantastic job. He let us know that there was backups at the bar and in the kitchen which is why it took some time for our drinks and sides to come to the table. I commend him for his work because he was incredibly diligent, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal despite all the stress and heavy workload. It seems to just be a staffing issue with the restaurant. The restaurant looks a lot different than how it was years before. This location used to be super dark and felt quite intimate. It felt very light and much more open than before. It made it strategically feel like a much more casual dining experience to attract people in more often. I look forward to revisiting! read more

I love the vibe in Red Lobster, it feels like you were transported to a waterfront restaurant in New England. The biscuits here never fail. They're hot, fresh, buttery and delicious. Our server Eddie was kind, great and attentive. The host and lady who brought our food out were also so kind. The Fish & Chips were hot and perfectly flaky. The fries were well seasoned. The shrimp trio during the week is such a good deal for $17.99. The fettuccine needed a little salt but there were salt n pepper shakers on the table so it was an easy fix. We arrived around 12:45pm-1pm had no wait we were seated right away. Our server was super nice and sweet very personable which I appreciated. She asked what we would like to drink and I didn't know yet so she went over the the drink menu and pointed out the seasonal alcohol drinks and non alcoholic drinks. I don't like sweet drinks so I asked her what she recommended and she said the Long Island especially because the bartender that was working was pretty good . I must say when my drink came out it was delicious. We ordered the shrimp and lobster bisque as our appetizers and they were really good . Our server was patient with us or should I say me because she asked if we were ready to order our entree's but I said no and somehow we started talking about what she did on her day off going to a local river which I enjoyed her talking about because she didn't seem rushed or stressed out seemed like a real genuinely nice person and enjoyed her job. Anyway, I was craving the seafood boil that I've been wanting to try for a while now. Highly recommend it was delicious. I chose the Cajun seasoning and just mild spice . I chose the platter that only had the shrimp , with potatoes , and sausage and corn . Admittedly I only ate less than half because I got full from the bread and side salad . It's been years since we've been to Red Lobster but we were craving for some seafood, specifically crab legs and decided to go there since that's their specialty. We came at 3 pm on a Sunday and there was no line and didn't have to wait to get seated. For a party of 3, the waitress gave us like 6 of the cheddar biscuits. Definitely what Red Lobster is known for and was delicious to eat. 5 stars We ordered crispy dragon calamari as a starter- they asked if we wanted the spicy sauce mixed in the calamari already or on the side, we opted on the side. The calamari was a bit salty and their sauce had a unique spicy flavor that was hard to describe. Wasn't bad at all. Rating 4 out of 5 stars For the main entree, my wife choose the Mariner seafood boil- which has lobster , shrimp, corn, potato and crab legs. She added sausage which was an extra cost. Chose spicy flavor and garlic butter that was added into the bag where the contents was put in a pan. I tried the spicy butter sauce and it had a nice kick to it. My wife's only complaint she shared was that the contents of the seafood boil was that it wasn't hot temperature wise. Not sure if it was sitting in the kitchen long but that was her complaint. 4 stars As for me, I opted for the crab your way and got the snow crabs with the roasted garlic butter. The snow crab legs came with toasted potato wedges that was under the crab legs. I really enjoyed mine and the potatoes was crispy and crunchy. The roasted garlic butter was plentiful and was a pleasant surprise. I got the mash potatoes as a side which I realize was redundant with the crispy potatoes. I would have likely chosen a rice or other vegetables. Service was top notch. Not only did our waitress check on us but other staff as well. When we left, there was a ton of people waiting inside to be seated as well as out so my tip would be to go there like we did around 2-3 pm Overall, we got our crab leg fix and enjoyed our meal. A quick add to my prior review. I took a friend there and noticed that the service had slipped a bit. It was so spotty that my colleague was getting annoyed and considering leaving. The issue seemed to be a handoff when the person who seated us went on break, or went home and didn't inform the person who followed her. The colleague fussed a bit on the quality as well. (I was good with the meal I had but, I am a bit more tolerant.) This is sad to see as once great chains sometimes decline over time. I would hate to see Modesto lost another. read more

Red Lobster has been through it the last few years, almost going out of business. New, young CEO comes and and rights the ship and the Lobster chugs on. At this Modesto location, everyone we dealt with from the host station, to our server and others who came to the table to bus or run food were spectacularly friendly and welcoming. They were the highlight of the experience. Our server in particular was doing everything she could to make sure our visit was the best it could be. We ordered big...steak and lobster with the filet upgrade, a massive platter of crab legs, lobster flatbread and more. The food was all very good, the lobster flatbread was probably the star. My only nit was that we'd had almost an identical meal at a famous white tablecloth restaurant in San Francisco a few days before and Red Lobster wasn't really any cheaper. I understand and respect raising your prices to stay in business but I have to knock off a star because it should be at least a little more affordable to serve this food in Modesto just off highway 99 than in Union Square in San Francisco. read more

I've visited once and got take out once since their rebranding and I can honestly say I'm extremely impressed! This store in particular provided AMAZING customer service, good food and drinks, was clean and much brighter than it was when we last visited a few years ago. Came day before Easter so it was a breeze for seating. Our server Taylor was super sweet & service was great. The margarita flight is 3 regular size margaritas. Leticia is amazing! My fiance and I have been coming to this location for years and Leticia is by far the best waitress we've had. She made us feel welcomed and like family the entire visit. Very personable and attentive. She definitely has the right drive and heart for the job. She explained all of the specials and new menu items and gave us refills on our drinks and biscuits without us having to ask. We hope to be helped by her again on our next visit. I love Red Lobsters Ultimate Endless Shrimp. It's hard to order anything else. It used to be a seasonal thing, but they made it a permanent staple for the moment the waitress told us. I asked for extra of my favorite pina colada dipping sauce for my coconut shrimp, and they more then provided me with enough. We did have to wait a long time for our next order of all you can eat shrimp each time we asked for more. Ambience is casual, music wasn't too loud during our visit. Service was exceptional, and food was good. They've definitely changed their biscuits. They used to be so much bigger and actually had the seasoning on them. These are so much smaller and barely have any seasoning on them, such a disappointment. Party of 3, all ordered the endless shrimp with loaded potatoes and a house salad. Shrimp orders included the Walt's Favorite, Shrimp Linguini, Shrimp Scampi, and Grilled Shrimp Skewers. Food was good, however the first plate of food was barely warm, not sure how they just opened and it wasn't even hot food. However the food definitely got hotter as time went on. I can see why this place has three stars. It is obvious they are shortstaffed and also that those were staffed are still in training. Taylor, our server was pretty good tonight. However, A couple of times I think she has her plate full. My tea refill took a lot longer than usual but what really bug me was the fact that we were at red lobster to celebrate my husband's birthday and though we did not get the birthday Sunday, Taylor understood how a lot of customers are not into the big singing scene and offered us a scoop of ice cream so we can share. One of the worst food experiences of my life. This was my families first time coming here. Mt boyfriend was so excited to try lobster and I was happy to finally try this place out. We get there and our server was friendly. Once we ordered, took 30 mins for our sons food to come out, but ours still didn't. We had to wait an extra 45 mins just for the app to come out. I got fed up honestly but during this whole time we had to wait for so long and our son was already done eating. I gave up and ended up going to a manager cause we couldn't even see our server for most of the time. Once we got our food, we were just ready to leave. We don't plan on coming back to this location.
