We had the server Bryan aka "the old man". He was phenomenal and an amazing waiter absolutely brings joy to the restaurant!

I'm giving Thai two stars instead one for the simple fact the server was good when he finally got there. No acknowledgement when we walked in then finally after a uh hmm, "how many"with no personality, so i said "hi how are you" to be a leading example... then we sat for quite a while before we were greeted almost walked out. there were several servers with a small part of dining open so why we weren't greeted in a timely manner beats me. Then, i look over and the walls were disgusting... made me not even want to eat even though we're ordered two of the most expensive items. Food was good kinda. I was wondering why nobody ever comes to this restaurant and I kind of discovered why. I ordered the Lobster Bisque. Not only was it luke warm, there was zero pieces of seafood in it. It was edible I didn't complain but it kind of ruined things a bit. Our server who was very nice and professional, brought me a part of my meal and my bf and I couldn't figure out whose it was till the rest of our food came out and by then it too was cold. I ordered a margarita and I couldn't drink it because it tasted like sour mix. The shrimp were fried,fortunately it's damn near impossible to screw that up so the rest of the meal was fine. it was Valentine's Day. We walked in at 4:30 to try and get a table for two. The lady told us it would be an hour and a half, it was shorter than all the other Wait times so we said sure. We said perfect and said we're gonna walk across the street to the mall to kill Time. Two hours go by and we haven't received a text and we noticed people are going in and out as we're waiting in the parking lot so we decide to go in there and check where our spot is. The hostess with purple hair said she was taking turns between walk-ins and reservation and that it should be 20 minutes. Giveing her grave that it's Valentine's Day, We walk to the car and wait 20 minutes. Nothing happens so we walk in again then she says sorry it's gonna be another 20 minutes but in a rudely way. We told her we were a walk-in she made us be a reservation therefore we should've been at the top of the list, especially since it's been an hour past the time she told us and we've been gracefully asking. If people standing in front of her face is what intimidates her then she needs to understand what being professional is and go by the reservations, and the walk-ins in order and understand which is which. My husband respectfully said, just take us off the list, please. And she gladly raises her hand and said "well that's one of down hahahaha" as a blonde next to her cheered as well. It's the one not a year that we had a babysitter and we gracefully waited three hours after being told to wait one and a half, and then she couldn't even have the audacity to be respectful. Tell us that she was working as hard as she could to get a seated or any of that. She was very rude. Had no customer service at all. I don't understand how she is working at red lobster when she needs to be learning her lesson lessons at Taco Bell on how to treat people. I understand she was in a high stress area, but if you can't handle high stress with people standing in front of you and say the boundary of this is when you'll be seated, there is people in front of you have made prior commitments since she doesn't deserve that job and her comment that literally pissed me and my husband off so bad on Valentine's Day was not cool. Customer service is about making other people feel better not ruining one of the holidays that they spend a lot of money for. Just ridiculous. I expect better from this establishment and as long as she is there, I will never be there again and I will spread the word as well. read more

After not eating at a Red Lobster in nearly 14 years, I decided to give it another try after my 9yo son wanted to go for his birthday. They did seem to be short handed so a wait was expected. I waited 20 minutes for a beer from the bar. We then waited 30-40 minutes for our meals. During the wait, it gave me time to view my surroundings. Food smeared on the walls and on the booth seat. Attention to detail while cleaning the dining area is lacking. The medium rare steak my son ordered was so tough I could barely cut it up, let alone chew it. My baked potato was not cooked all the way through. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy. The breaded fish in the fish and chips may as well have been from Long John Silvers. The salmon, lobster, and broccoli were the only "good" things about this experience. Needless to say, it was quite a disappointing $160 (after tip) meal. Our waitress was kind and attentive, and she apologized for the wait. The service was ok, but the food was poor and not worth the money spent. Might I mention there was also splattered feces on the wall in the women's restroom. I will not be going back to this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone else. They have good salads, great cheddar biscuits, then it goes downhill. They offer no fresh fish or fresh shrimp. Everything is processed and frozen. Menu needs an update to some fresh food! It's rare to find someone who seems to genuinely enjoy working in food and beverage these post-lockdown days but he was charming and great at his job. We had a minor issue that was immediately addressed and corrected. A manager even stopped by to chat with us. There are fast food places that have better seafood than Red Lobster. It's what they should be outstanding at, and I expected outstanding, but sadly this was not the case. It wasn't even good. Mu husband had a gift card so we went for lunch even though the last time we were there (about 10 years ago) the shrimp tasted of formaldehyde. They have at least fixed that problem but other problems with their food made it difficult to rationalize their high prices. We both ordered the endless shrimp. I got the scampi and the hand breaded shrimp with broccoli and mashed potatoes. I had to send the mashed potatoes back because the first order they brought had a dry, crusty 'skin' on it like it had been under a heat lamp all day. The broccoli was way overcooked. But those things could be overlooked because, after all, they are a seafood place. But are they really a seafood restaurant? They are not very good at making shrimp, that's for sure. The scampi was very overcooked and rubbery. It was also very bland and not pleasing to eat. The hand breaded was also extremely overcooked and bland. The breading was fairly soggy and not at all crispy like I expected. It was also not at all hot, so I am assuming it was sitting around for a while. That's pretty scary when you're talking about seafood. My husband got the new crunchy fiesta shrimp and the hand breaded with broccoli and fries. My husband's fiesta shrimp was covered in a weird, processed cheese 'sauce' that was on the awful side. All of his shrimp was overcooked and rubbery as well. I'm going to say, do not eat here. If you want seafood, almost every other restaurant has seafood on their menus. Go anywhere else. read more

The bathroom floor was extremely slippery it looked like someone took a hose and cleaned it like that I even fell. I told the table sitters in the front that the floor was slick and there should be a sign. She said "there is a sign" I went back to my table and after my lunch I went back to the bathroom the lady put the sign where I feel. I left and told the person in the front that they really need a sign because an older person could fall because of that it would be their fault. I was on a business trip in Tennessee and had a hankering for some seafood. I had never been to a Red Lobster, and this one was a short walk from my hotel. It was the perfect opportunity to try it out. As soon as I walked in there was tank of live lobsters to welcome me. AIong with these crustaceans, the host offered a warm greeting and seated me promptly. An equally friendly waiter arrived soon after to chat, offer suggestions, and take my order. The kind service alone is worth coming for, they made a girl feel at home even though home was thousands of miles away. When my waiter brought out the famous fresh baked cheddar bay biscuits, I had high hopes. From the very first bite, I realized that everyone's obsession over these tiny baked goods was justified. These biscuits were delicious, warm, cheesy, salty, fluffy goodness. I asked for more to go. For my entree, I decided to try a bit of everything and dived into the Ultimate Feast. This consists of tasty, but small Snow Crab Legs, perfectly cooked buttery Garlic Shrimp Scampi, crispy fried Walt's Favorite Shrimp, and a Maine Lobster tail. Surprisingly, everything was ok except for the lobster. It was overcooked, chewy, and fishy. Poor lobster gave it's life for mediocrity...R.I.P. Overall it was a good experience. It was my birthday, and since I live alone (no family close by) I decided to treat myself and get a lobster dinner. I ordered the Surf & Turf, with side order of Crab Legs. It was delivered by Door Dash. When I opened the main meal, I was extremely disappointed to find NO lobster and the steak was cold (it was not the delivery because that was tracked)! I immediately called the store and asked to speak to the manager. Bryan (he refused to give me his last name) got on the phone and refused to send me out the lobster (even though I explained the special day and that Lobster WAS the reason I ordered from them). He began to get very curt with me and when I told him I was going to inform the corporate office, he said he would do the same and began to hang up on me. After finally getting him to really listen, he said he would send me a coupon for the missing food (he also refused to tell me how much that would be). My house is not far from the store (3 - 5 minutes) so I don't see why he couldn't make the situation right and also not to be so argumentative with me! When I arrived food was ready to go and she remembered that I had asked for cocktail sauce and she told me how much she gave me and asked if that was enough. My expectations were low but I was pleasantly surprised. This location desperately needs a refresh (inside is dismal, chairs scarred, dreary dark inside) so we ordered carry out to avoid eating in. The salads were ok. The coconut shrimp appetizer was very good if you don't use the super sweet sauce that comes with it. The stuffed flounder was tasty, but beware that getting it as carry out means it can overcook in the insulated carry out box on the ride home. The fried shrimp, scampi, and bay scallops were good but the scallops didn't have a lot of flavor despite the sauce. Stick to the shrimp choices. Got lots of biscuits and they were great. Overall this restored some faith in Red Lobster, but if I were dining in, I'd choose another location. This one needs a serious renovation. read more

I need to preface this review with some information we go to the Johnson City Red Lobster a minimum of twice a week it was until today our favorite restaurant in Johnson City. I will say up until this point we had noticed a decline in service the decline in quality, and the decline and overall atmosphere cleanse cleanliness Etc. we had our meal. It was pretty good a little cold but overall good and it came time to pay. We use the presto payment system that sits on the table the little TV screens. My husband paid while I went to the restroom. We then sat down in the lobby to wait on our son he was in the restroom . The manager walks towards us like somethings serious is wrong. Look on her face is very serious and not friendly at all. She proceeds to tell us that we paid the wrong bill and ours was more than the table who actually had the presto that went to our table. She never once smiled. She never once apologized until I made her by telling her I found her very rude and offensive. The difference was $20. I'd gladly pay the $20 because I don't want to short anyone but I also know as a businesswoman that there is no way I would have approached someone about this problem . She was very rude. She was very silently accusatory in her manner, and in her tone, as if she thought we had tried to pull a fast one on her. I don't know how we would've done that, but that seem to be her belief in the way, that she spoke. This was not our mistake but we paid dearly but not in money. We ordered lobster and crab legs . The crablags were cold , the waitress was not very social at all . We maybe spoke to her three times . Forbid i ask for silverware without her giving me a "look". I didnt catch her name . Visiting family in Piney Flats, we decided to treat them to dinner and thought Red Lobster would be a good choice. The food was good but the service was rediculous! Our soup and salad came out at the same time, the soup was luke warm at best and the salad was drowning in dressing. I asked for dressing on the side and no onions but I got drowned salad with onions! No sooner did we finish our soup and salad when our main course was "thrown down". No negative comment about the main course, it was good. Unfortunately, as soon as we finished, and with our plates still on the table, the desert was tossed onto the table.
