I just got back from college and this was the first meal I had with my brother, about an hour after eating here we both started getting terrible stomach aches. It is 2 1/2 days later and I am finally recovering. I know that it must have been Red Lobster that made me sick because it was the only food I had all day, and only meal my brother and I both shared. I went to the Red Lobster location on 5/16/2026 with my family. Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. I cannot say that we had a good experience. Unfortunately, we had an absolutely horrible time. I made reservations before going. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy. However, since I made a reservation, the good thing was, we didn't have to wait to be seated. We were asked if we wanted a table or booth. We opted for the booth. We were taken to a booth. However, the table wasn't thoroughly cleaned, it was greasy. So, I took my napkin and wiped the table. We might not have waited to sit down but we waited an extremely long time before our server came to the table. A positive was that the server was pleasant. Once the server came to the table he brought a basket of biscuits. (there were only 4 biscuits) He took our drink orders and asked if we wanted to go ahead and order. Since we knew what we wanted already we went ahead and placed our orders. We waited an extremely long time to receive our drinks.(1 mtn dew, 2 Pepsi, and 1 water) I was surprised we didn't all get glasses of water. Nonetheless, we waited an even longer time to receive the food. (We all ordered the endless shrimp) There was someone from the kitchen staff who brought our food to the table. We didn't have any pepper on the table. So, we asked the young man that brought our food to us if he could get some pepper. He then said, "Look, on the table it should be sitting on your table." We told him that we didn't have any pepper on the table. So, he took a pepper shaker off of another table and set it on our table and walked away. Our server didn't come back to the table until much later. We had all drank our sodas and I had even shared my drink with my husband because he was the first one to run out. We had to stop the server when he passed by. We asked if we could get more refills and order more shrimp. He said he would get our drinks and put in our order for more shrimp. It took what seemed like forever to get the drink refills and an eternity to get the orders of shrimp. When our server walked past the table and saw that we still hadn't received our shrimp he ran to the kitchen to get it. However, everyone got their order of shrimp except for me. The server said he would go get my order, but he was gone for quite a while, so my family said they wanted carryout's and was ready to leave. So, when he brought my order out to me, I asked for carryout containers and the receipt. I was truly no longer hungry because I had lost my appetite. It took the server quite a while to bring the carryout containers and even longer to give me the receipt. Heck, it took him so long to come back to the table to collect payment that I actually got up and walked up to the carryout counter and paid the bill there. The manager was the one that took the receipt and rang up the order. I asked her if there was a number that I could call for comments etc. She asked me if I could give them a google review which would really help them. I advised her that I could definitely give a review, but it wouldn't be a pleasant one. She asked what the matter and I had advised her. She said the server was overwhelmed. I didn't dispute that. However, as I explained to the manager while the server was pleasant there was no excuse as to why we had to wait for every single thing. (especially because the restaurant had cleared up and was less busy) We hadn't been to Red Lobster in such a long time, but my family's dinner experience was ruined. The funny thing was while speaking to the manager some of the servers gathered in the kitchen area and had a good conversation going where they were laughing and joking. Was almost perfect, 4.5 stars. Wednesday special is the surf and turf. 7oz filet, (cooked to a perfect medium rare) lobster tail and side just $25. (Normally $38 with 2 sides) The one end of the steak was tough and I chewed and chewed and still had to spit out what wasn't edible. It was flavorful, just some stringy fat at one end. Weekday specials and happy hour is a nice touch. Might have to try the Friday fish and chips special. My server was awesome. He's been here on and off for 15 years. Birthday party for my husband and his twin. Party of 9. I ordered the lobster and shrimp linguine (new) and it was creamy, flavorful and plentiful. The only thing we didn't care for were the stuffed mushrooms appetizer - too salty. Our server, Sam, really needs to chill and smile. I think he was a drill sergeant in a past life. He intimidated us with the way he spoke to us and rushed us through our meal. I would have rated our experience 2 stars based on his service but raised it to 3 coz the food was delicious. We arrived at 6:50 PM and were told there would be a 35-minute wait. We waited patiently. Just as we were about to be seated (party of 3 adults and an infant), another couple with a child walked in and were told 25 minutes. Somehow, they were seated within 5 minutes--before us. I didn't say anything, but I was already frustrated. A few minutes later, another name was called and my husband spoke up, reminding the hostess that we were next. She confirmed and finally sat us. After being seated, we waited another 25 minutes before our drink order was even taken. Drinks finally arrived along with the biscuits, which were dry and overcooked. We didn't receive our meals until 8:50 PM--two hours after we arrived. We ordered: * Two Ultimate Feasts * One Grilled Shrimp entrée * A side of Shrimp Scampi Meal #1 (Ultimate Feast): Two orders of coconut shrimp (9 shrimp total) not double order, double crab legs (definitely not 2 pounds), and a loaded baked potato that was undercooked--hard and inedible. Meal #2 (Ultimate Feast): Medium steak (came out rare), coconut shrimp(6 shrimp total), shrimp scampi (barely warm), fries (undercooked and cold), and mac & cheese (tasted like Kraft from a box). Meal #3: Grilled shrimp with orzo and shrimp scampi--shrimp was cold. Our server was polite, but the quality of service and food completely overshadowed that. We expressed our concerns and she offered to remake the steak and bring a new potato. The steak came back well-done and tough, as if it had been microwaved. At that point, I just wanted to leave. We ended up picking up food on the way home because none of the meals were satisfying. I've been coming to this location for years and always stayed loyal--but after this experience, I will not be returning. We came here specifically for that endless shrimp special for $25. Parking is very ample since it's shared with Holiday Inn Express. It didn't take long for us to get seated. The biscuits were still mouth watering as the last time I was there and that was a long time ago. With the endless shrimp option, you have 7 to pick from plus one side. For the first three I chose Walt's favorite shrimp, crispy sea salt and vinegar shrimp, and garlic shrimp scampi. My side was mashed potatoes. Since it was busy, it took a bit of time for the food to come out but they came out hot and fresh. Walt's favorite shrimp and garlic shrimp scampi were both delicious. The sea salt and vinegar shrimp was okay, but didn't have a lot of flavor. The waiter returned and said I can choose two for the second round. I chose the shrimp linguini alfredo and parrot isle jumbo coconut shrimp. The coconut was probably my favorite, they were big and the sauce had a very prominent coconut flavor. Shrimp linguini alfredo was good too, the pasta helps with all of the shrimp. Third round I just went with the grilled shrimp skewer since I'm not a big fan of popcorn shrimp. The skewer was very tasty. I definitely recommend this deal if you're able to do 2-3 rounds to get your money's worth. It is true that they don't come back as often since they know you got the endless option. I'm not sure why since they have it on the menu and they should expect customers to order it. Red lobster has had some amazing deals lately and I needed to be a part of it. Walking in the hostess was very dry and seemed as if she didn't want to be at work but whatever to that. This location was very clean and I can really appreciate that. I was seated and my waitress was amazing. She was so sweet, great personality, and she was attentive. We got started with an appetizer and it came out so fast!! Couldn't believe it. But we were so hungry so no complaints here! We haven't been to Red Lobster for awhile so I thought I would give them another try. I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and there was a ton of shrimp, a generous portion of lobster and the pasta was perfectly cooked in a delicious white wine sauce. My wife had the Basil Lemon Basil Mahi which was also very good. Our sever Destiny was on top of things and always made sure we were taken care of. It was not what I expected and my service was excellent with the general manager Jason he was very patient and very quick to be super helpful. Excellent recommendations and can tell that he really cared for the restaurant, I have never eaten crab and was doing a poor job and he came to basically give me a lesson on how to open the crab which was very nice and helpful. One of them took us to one of 3 tables at the bar where we sat down and waited too long to order drinks. It took too long (15-20 minutes) to bring the rolls and take our drink order. It took too long to bring the drinks. I asked my wife if we should 'dine and dash' or maybe drink and dash. Our server was making all the drinks in a not very busy restaurant. I was in town staying at the hotel next door so this was a very easy walk. I sat at the bar and ordered the blackened catfish with the coleslaw and broccoli for my sides. The broccoli was cut up in small pieces and it was the perfect texture and taste; not too hard and not too mushy. The blackened catfish came with two filets cooked great with a very nice blend of spice. The coleslaw was delicious and again had the right texture and taste. Popped in one late afternoon during the middle of the week. The restaurant was packed. The bartender let me sit at the bar rather than in the dining area. I started with a bowl of clam chowder. Loved it.. For my main course, I ordered alfredo linguine with shrimp. Can never go wrong ordering that. Had a very bad experience for the second time! Me and my fiancé went for dinner, order by the bar. We order calamari. I ordered a salad....no silverware! We had to chase a manager to receive some. My wife to be, order some fish , the batter fell off every piece and tasted like fish sticks. I ordered the Cajun chicken noodles.... It was like a half order with only four pieces of chicken. People were just beginning to fill the main dining area and our server Martha E was able to a few tables at the same time getting drinks and taking orders. We had more family coming and they were able to sit next to where we were and Martha E was glad to add them to our order. When we left after paying I noticed on my bank statement that evening I was only charged for the meal and they didn't include my tip because I had forgotten to sign the receipt. We went early so we could have a quick dinner then have a Birthday Zoom with family. We got there at 4:45 pm, and finally left at 6:30. The food was good, even though a salad is no longer included in your meal! We had to wait over 20 mins for a to-go box and the bill. **THE ONLY SAVING GRACE WAS OUR WAITER PHILIP! He was excellent!** Sadly, they don't have enough staff so he was running, trying to serve 5 tables by himself! (one had 8 guests, the other 6!) FLOUNDER-ING I don't normally go to Red Lobsters and dinner on 4/28/17 is a prime example why. It was my mom's pick for TGIF and she had a hankering for fresh lobster so we found ourselves here. I didn't think much of it, I knew their cheddar biscuits were legendary and had some decent experiences at other RL's in the past. We showed up at a primetime hour and got seated right away. It took a while, but eventually a server made his way over to our table and introduced himself. Jim was nice, but timid, and didn't strike us as a big 'people person'. No matter, we were famished so we put in our food orders right away. After a lengthy delay my parents got their glasses of wine and a beer for myself. The crab dip and stuffed mushroom cap appetizers came out, those tasted fine. We got in our entrees and waited a while as my mom had asked for a fresh-ass lobster (nice one, mom). ......after having been there for six months, our server had never fished a live lobster out of the tank. According to my mom he was "afraid" to do it so the manager had to step in. Truth be told, as kind as Jim was, his attitude was totally meek and not at all suitable for the service industry. I got some sort of seafood platter but the kids screaming and flinging shrimp scampi across the room put me off my appetite. Everything tasted fine, but the missteps here and there (asked for Tabasco, never received it) started to stack up. At one point it became laughable, like "how/what are they going to f*ck up next?" Sure enough, the kitchen hadn't cracked open my mom's whole lobster so they took it back......and there it stayed. Bye-bye Mr Lobster!! Time goes by and the manager asks how we're doing. OH hohohoh lady we don't have enough hours in the day to discuss your restaurant's shortcomings. We highlighted the important stuff: we never got utensils (smh), Mr Lobster disappeared, they forgot my dad's side order, our server vanished for quite some time.....the list went on and on. She apologized and gave us a free dessert on the house, which was nice. Still doesn't atone for the extensive service issues, though. Bread = 3.5 Circuses = 1 *TL;DR* I can't help shake the feeling that Red Lobster is like the Boost Mobile of seafood restaurants. All the same people who get their unlimited data plans from bottom-tier service providers come here to eat on Friday nights. McCormick & Schmick's this ain't, but by no means is it cheap.....most entrees are still $20-30. Everything from a wobbly chair to long delays in service, to basic things like forgetting to bring silverware (inexcusable). In the grand scheme of things, they were small mistakes but they added up quickly. They forgot plates, they forgot tools for my crab legs, they didn't split my mom's lobster (as requested), no itty bitty seafood fork was provided, what the HECK is going on here?? You know how sometimes you accidentally walk into a Wal-Mart and think "every motherf*cker in this store needs to be euthanized"?? That's how I felt eating here. I'm always stoked to share a meal with my parents but the service was rife with mistakes and most of them were 100% avoidable. Customers should never, EVER have to ASK for utensils.
