Been to Red Lobsters from coast to coast for at least 40 years. You go in knowing what you'll be getting, without expectations too high, and you usually left satisfied -- in days gone by! Then, they went into bankruptcy, and took their time to reopen selectively with a new menu and supposedly a better business plan. I waited a year until visiting after they reopened, hoping they'd have their new act together. Sorry, it's just not there, yet. Let's go down the list: #1, prices are way too high for the restaurant niche they're trying to recapture. I don't expect endless shrimp for $12.99 like the old days (which is why they went bankrupt) but a fried fish platter for $30 is outrageous for the same breaded filets, shrimp & scallops you can get in the Kroger's frozen food aisle for about $10. Then, #2, the funkytown nightclub music they have blaring feels waaaay out of place. You can't find some Island vibe music from Hawaii or the Caribbean? The music was really annoying. And, #3, just about everything is ala carte now, including salads. It's almost impossible to have a full meal, salads to desserts, for less than $50 a person. Hey, it's a Red Lobster, not a downtown steakhouse. Get real about pricing! The only good notes to report are their Happy Hour, 3-6pm M-F, to save a few bucks. And, at least the service at this Cheyenne location was courteous, prompt and very attentive. Aside from that, I probably won't be back for at least another year in hopes they start giving customers a little price break on mediocre seafood. read more

Tried the crab legs and a pound use to be a cluster and 1/2. Now just one cluster. Not worth the money being charged. We also order the new crab stuffed mushrooms which were okay and better than their regular stuffed mushrooms but again not worth the price. The crab and lobster flat bread was worth every penny. They up-charge for almost everything now ( premium sides, extra butter, clam chowder substitute for a side) I'm usually favor Red Lobster but this time will be my last. $100 for two is not feasible. In the past few years I've been visiting various Red Lobster locations, I've noticed that the food has remained pretty consistently good, but the portion sizes have been getting steadily smaller and smaller... Tip: While the food at this location is good, the bar here is excellent! This last time out, the clam chowder was pretty good, but it was more than a bit fishy due to a few conch shells. I also noticed that the lobster looks more like a giant prawn than anything else. That said, but were very tasty. We finished our meal by sharing a chocolate layer cake; it was decidedly decadent, though the portion size was too small. read more

Where to start..... 1) Restrooms were disgusting (blood, feces, trash full and on floor, stall closed and broken tp holder. 2) Waited for 1 1/2 for food. 3) Waitress not friendly or pleasant and never returned for refills 3) Ordered medium rare steak that I was unable to even cut so overcooked/blackened. Everything was on point. Great friendly service. Food was hot and fresh and cooked correctly and brought pit in a timely manner.

I'm sad and disappointed to say the least. Hadn't been to a Red Lobster in over 10 years and finally decided to give it a try again. I already go in to chain restaurants with a pretty low expectation but they completely missed the mark. The chips that came with the crab queso dip were almost inedible with how salty they were. The lobster was overcooked and super rubbery, steak was definitely not medium rare, the shrimp alfredo was dry and barely had any sauce. The good: mac and cheese, broccoli, and mashed potatoes were pretty standard so no complaints there. Our hostess and waitress were very friendly and food came out in a timely manner. Then I moved to Cheyenne and realized that there can be to much of a good thing. I like the lobster pizza. If on a budget the fish and chips is good. I like cole slaw with it. I like the Shrimp with a name. It's usually good. I like the pinacolada sauce. At some point management changed and it became uneven. I wanted cole slaw and was told they didn't have any. Funny I ordered it several times. It was after that the quality started to fall. They use to have really good salads and they became cheaper and cheaper. Not worth it anymore. Good food for people that are not severely restricted on diet. Definitely not a great place to go if you have celiac or a gluten sensitivity. The service is okay as even when ordering food and asking them to leave off any type of bread product that contains gluten, that is not always paid attention to. After driving more than twelve hours, my wife and I decided on Red Lobster for dinner. We both ordered a bowl of claim chowder that was Campbell's soup quality at best. I asked for hot sauce for my chowder that arrived well after I ate my soup. We had fried shrimp, I asked for tartar sauce, I received cocktail sauce instead. Only food that was decent was the coconut shrimp, french fries, and biscuits. Biscuits we're the only item that came out hot, 45 minutes AFTER arriving at restaurant. Fried fish was tough like jerky & grease filled, steamed broccoli wasn't even steamed, mashed potatoes & grilled shrimp were cold. Entryway smelled horrible, trash & boxes in seating area. Went there last night. i new when we parked that this was a business in trouble. You can tell when you see how the exterior lasndscaping is maintained. weeds everywhere, dead trees, not mowed. All indications of a cash poor poorly managed business. My got was right. My fish was extremely overcooked, wife's lobster was raw. Food wasn't edible. Manager came out and offered 20% off our bill. Went here tonight for the Endless Shrimp. I really.. wanted it to be really.. good but, all I can say is it was ok. The service was great. It was friendly, I did not have to wait long to be seated and my meal and refills were at a good pace for the amount of people there. I arrived a little bit after the dinner rush so people were leaving as I came in. Ok so the food. Mashed tators were good but I did not have much as to save space to gorge on shrimp. I did not care too much for the sesame-ginger shrimp. Well made just a taste preference. The fiesta shrimp were quite tasty with a little zing! So what's my gripe? My favorite of all the garlic shrimp scampi... My first few were made well. But as it has came to be, they just aren't as flavorful as they used to be. Not sure if they actually used minced garlic before or not. But it seems like it might be just garlic powder now. As I said, i'm not sure but something has changed. But as a lover of the Endless shrimp I wasn't going to let this stop me from eating an unhealthy amount of shrimp! Unfortunately as each boat of shrimp came the less garlic sauce was in the boat and the drier they were. I had to keep pouring the garlic sauce from one boat to another to add some moisture back into the shrimp. Everything came burn your hands hot though but with my scampi being subpar I may not go back for the special again as I usually do. One other thing.. My Losterita, which by the way is a Rookie move on Endless anything because of the size. Seemed quite over syrupy as it warmed up it was almost undrinkable sweet. The crew at Red Lobster was on point tonight! Table could have been a little cleaner. But that minor inconvenience was quickly resolved. Came here once again for the endless shrimp special. Had the fiesta shrimp, shrimp skewers and my favorite of all the scampi. And this time every serving was made perfectly, from plate to plate, to plate to plate, you get the picture. Also the mashed potatoes salad and biscuits were delicious too. Much better than my previous visits hope they keep up the good work. read more

Service is always great here. I love their signature biscuit. You can always ask for more biscuits if you like. Salad is fresh. Food came out warm and tasted great. Love this chain restaurant. Just passing through and hadn't visited a red lobster in quite some time so I thought I'd pop in for a quick bite to eat. Was greeted and seated promptly and received my drink order relatively fast. However drink size I wanted that was presented with the "call" version of my beverage of choice. I'm sure this was an up charge of a few dollars versus the smaller drink so it would've been nice to have been asked how much I wanted to drink before just assuming I would take the large beverage. Dinner came out also in a timely fashion however it was relatively bland. Possibly precooked and then warmed in a microwave? Also this restaurant really needs to do some lighting updates as it is so dark in there virtually impossible to read a menu. Shades of Disney are not what I expected when visiting a Red Lobster, so this location did not disappoint in that regard. We have not been to a Red Lobster since almost 4 years ago in Clovis, New Mexico, which is definitely not a seaside town. However, the Cheyenne parking lot was mostly empty around 2pm in the afternoon, so we decided to take a chance and see what it would be like. The first thing that greets you is the smell. Spoiler alert: If you do not like seafood, this is NOT the place to go. From the décor to the appetizers to the main courses, this place screams out for the likes of Captain Ahab. Sadly, they just do not offer things like shark, swordfish, or even whale. Having lived in Iceland for a few years, I like the taste of whale, but not sure that Moby Dick is happy about losing some of his family members. BUT, I digress... We went in and a man greeted us cordially. Grabbing some menus, he took us to a seat and I noticed that the restaurant was a little on the cool side. I am not sure if this was just an oversight due to the current weather that can change at any time here in Cheyenne in the fall time, or whether this is done to accommodate the grumpy looking close relatives of Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. Once seated, a friendly waiter came and took our drink order (ice water with lemon). He did not offer any advice or recommendations for meal selections though and I thought considering there were not more than a half-dozen tables in use that he could have been more engaging. The meal selection made, we waited but not for long. The lobster bisque was hot and had just the right taste to my palate and my wife liked her salad with the champagne vinaigrette. Even my wife who does not like seafood liked the bisque as well. I was looking forward to tasting the rest of the meal when it arrived. My girls enjoyed their chicken fingers and the famous cheese biscuits, but that is to be expected. Young children are not always very picky. The cheese biscuits were hot, but we did have to ask for another basket after only getting one each to start with. Getting to our meals though is a different story. We got the "wild-caught flounder" and after doctoring it up with lemon and salt, I was immensely surprised to find that it tasted just like lemon and salt. Finding flavor in the fish was almost as difficult as finding a clownfish was in Finding Nemo. Now, I realize that fish live in the sea, but our fish tasted like it had been watered down for quite some time before being cooked. It was soggy and without the lemon and salt totally tasteless. However, one redeeming factor was that the scampi was good as was the few shrimp pieces that I got in my selection. The flavor was not immense but good enough that I would have eaten more. While the waiter was friendly enough, he did not offer to top up our water glasses. However, he did keep asking how things were going and at the end if we wanted dessert. Overall, while not overly impressed with the fish, the rest was acceptable fare although a little overpriced for what we got. Not sure if this was just a bad day for the fish cook, or just the norm for fish restaurants that are nowhere near the sea. However, going to a restaurant that serves seafood, I really did expect each aspect of the seafood to be much better than it was. read more

I absolutely have to rave about this location. We have been to Red Lobster a total of 4 times since my family and I have moved to Cheyenne. Our first visit, I found the service to be mediocre at best. The food was about the same. Our second visit we found our waitress to be very friendly and accommodating so we were pleased with that, but again, the food was just mediocre for the price. Our most recent 2 visits however were AMAZING. My husband and I ordered the endless shrimp. Our servers both times were incredibly sweet and did their jobs very well. The food was so perfect and they brought the refills out very quickly. The servers on both visits were very attentive. We could not have been more pleased. Our first two visits left me feeling like I never cared if we ever ate there again. We went on a whim one Friday evening. I did NOT have high hopes at all, but I was truly blown away. It has now become one of my MOST favorite restaurants in area. read more
