I was in the mood for fried clam strips again after my Red Lobster experience at the Columbus, IN location. I discovered this new favorite seafood item during that experience so I decided to try to replicate the meal. Usually that's not hard at the more upscale chain restaurants with regards to the food quality. The food quality is usually pretty consistent. Service might vary more from location to location but here in Bloomington, the service was excellent. Every time my server passed by me, he was checking out my table. I ordered the Choose Two option and selected the Fried Wild Caught Flounder and the Crispy Fried Clam Strips. My fish and clam strips were delicious as expected. I received two large fish fillets and a huge portion of clamp strips that equalled the size of the two large fish fillets. Fresh Steamed Broccoli was one of my sides. The florets were huge and good. My other side was the Cole Slaw. The portion was too big for me. A big bowl of it that looked like an entree instead of a side. I also ordered the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake without the new fresh strawberries topping. The crust is thick and very flavorful. The whipped cream topping is awesome. Their cheesecake is excellent. I love their dining rooms with the cherry wood tables and thick cushions in the booths. It is a classy feel with wide aisles so you don't feel crowded together with other diners.

Endless shrimp has my heart! We went there for my birthday and had such a delish meal. The place was clean, seated immediately-it was a weekday so easy to get in. There were four of us, each had correct orders that came out hot and fresh. Server was fantastic! She was very attentive and super nice-she brought us a birthday dessert! Great place for a nice dinner-chain restaurant with hometown feel.

I ordered at this Red Lobster for lunch, since I had a bad experience from another restaurant last night and wanted to eat. My husband and I shared a entree and ate a few of the cheese biscuits. I ordered the jumbo lump crabs, the walts shrimp, fried white fish, baked potato, with sour cream and butter. Also a dozen of biscuits. * I didn't receive the sour cream, butter, or Caesar salad. The salad is what I was going to eat and a crab cake. What a bomber. :-( Cons- no eating utensils, no napkins, no sour cream or butter for the baked potato, no Caesar salad, and lukewarm food. The fish and shrimp wasn't good at all. Pros- the crab cakes were delicious. That's it! I don't use the microwave, but today I had too, since I'm in a hotel and visiting Indiana. We pay too much money to dine, take out, or for delivery, to not receive what we paid for.

Very expensive & not worth it. Cocktail was 90% ice, lobster tails were overcooked and bitter. The salmon bowl was decent but could've been seasoned better. Calamari & biscuits were the showstoppers.

Desert was definitely descent. Thankful and appreciative. The menu is a bit expensive and the waitress/staff were nice!

While the rest of the world is panicking because of the coronavirus, my team of healthcare workers really wanted Red Lobster for lunch. We were on a time crunch since we only get an hour for our lunch break. A group of us headed to the restaurant in order to get seats and order before the rest of us arrived. The group of ladies I was with all commented that I needed to give Red Lobster a five-star rating because of how accommodating they were. I agreed. We were shown to our seats immediately, and the drinks were already there when I arrived. I arrived with the later group so by the time I got there someone had already placed my order and I had a drink sitting in front of me. One of the managers even came back and thanked us for doing what we do amid this whole coronavirus panic. This is the chain restaurant so the food is pretty standard every time I come. And there were no surprises. However, the server did accidentally fill one of my coworker's drink with water when she got Sprite. Other than that, our bellies were full and we got back to work on time.

Went out for dinner with family It's been such a long time They were doing social rules, Food was good but very limited menu, and prices were higher , but figured because they are just getting things going again. Long wait times to get food but we figured they only had a few cooks.

It is not flesh live lobster, it's the frozen one, the meat doesn't firm at all, you can still taste and smell the refrigerator, everything is salty. Service is fine.

The biscuit alone is worth it

Went for dinner on a non-football weekend night and had great service. Helpful guidance on menu choices and super attentive without being a bother. The room and bar are handsomely decked out, with comfortable, well-spaced tables and banquettes and booths. Makes for a fun setting. The food is seasonal and local -- lots of corn and squash this time of year. The chicken roulettes are excellent, as was the beet salad with Calabrian honey and whipped feta -- a nice sweet/hot combo. The steak frites was perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested, and accompanied by scalloped potato fries. Don't miss the desserts, either. The sweet corn creme brûlée with popped sorghum was totally new to me and delish. The chocolate medley was also excellent. Kudos for well-made cocktails too. Great experience and 100% different from everything else in town. A little NYC in IN.

In this case, a couple of buddies and I met for dinner and drinks. It's a shame Kirkwood isn't closed to cars completely, as the space was limited and there were kids on motorcycles driving up and down the road. Other than that, another great experience. As usual I ordered the Stromboli with no pickles. Word to first timers, when they say pickles they mean a LOT of pickles and the juice will run into the bread. So if that's not your thing, tell them to put them on a separate plate far far away or simply skip them. The strom at Nick's is, without a doubt, the single best sandwich in Bloomington. I ordered a side of fried mushrooms with mine, which are admittedly overpriced but also delish. Friends ordered a breaded tenderloin with fries and a burger with onion rings. Both enjoyed their meals, but other than the onion rings those wouldn't be anywhere the top of my list for a Nick's visit. The rings are fantastic, but I just love the pizza, stroms, Italian beef and some other things before I'd go the more traditional tenderloin or burger route. $60-70 Let me tell you what I experienced on 2/13/26…read more We had an OpenTable reservation, and our group traveled to Bloomington (from Carmel) for a play. We tried calling several times throughout the day to notify FARM that we needed to change the reservation because two of our guests were ill and would not be able to join. The restaurant's phone just kept forwarding to voicemail. We arrived at our reservation time and were told that we would be charged via OpenTable for the guests who did not join. When I mentioned the phone issue, the hostess said that it did not matter if we had called today, because the cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance. I did not know they would be ill 24 hours prior to the reservation - but whatever. I was not happy, but did not argue the issue. We were seated, only to find that there was a prefix "Valentine's Day Menu". We thought that was interesting because we had researched the website & menu before the evening, and there was no mention of this menu being the only option for Friday (2/13) night. Even the menu PDF says "Valentine's Day" - there were signs throughout the restaurant noting "Valentine's Day Menu". The server also mentioned that many other patrons were upset. The items on the menu were also priced far higher than the regular menu. So, we were excited to try FARM, arrived to a very sassy attitude (from the host) about the party size, noting that I was going to be charged. Getting to the table to see a modified menu, whose prices were jacked up. The (very sweet) server validated our feelings and confirmed that other patrons were upset, too. We finally just decided to leave. On the way out, the "sassy" host was snarky and mentioned that we would likely be charged again for the remaining guests leaving and not eating. I have pictures of the signs, and screenshots of the website - and I dare FARM to charge me for their false advertising. At least note the website, signage, and OpenTable if you are following modified menus or processes, and train your team better!! We were thrilled to try FARM, and left saying that we would NEVER go back. So disappointed :(

I did not get a smile from a single hostess or waitress. While the decor is a vibe, the seating is uncomfortable and close. Our son was constantly having to move his chair just so the waiters could get by. Our family enjoyed the garlic fries appetizer. I ordered the breakfast poutine and it was a soggy mess. I concur with other reviews that the menu lacks diversity. Perhaps their evening menu is more appealing. Overall, we were very disappointed.
