Ordered pizza to go. Online menu showed $16 for a large cheese. I ordered a meat lovers & picked it up and I was charged $43.00!!!!!! $43 for a pizza! She said it is loaded with toppings & it was, but the pizza was cold in the middle & so not worth that amount! Cold! Wow! Just wow!!! In review of my receipt I was also charged 60 cents for the pizza box! Like $40 isn't enough to throw in the "take out material" fee!! Unbelievable!

Food is always delicious here. Home cooking and hearty portions. They do mark the menu with their best sellers.Service was excellent. They do have a huge parking lot, but you have to cross a busy road to get to the restaurant. Beware if you use a credit/ debit card you will be charged about 3% extra.

I ate at the Red Lion while visiting Pine Grove on a business trip. It was snowing quite heavily the day I visited and they were serving a limited menu because all the waitresses called off. The husband and wife who operate the restaurant were super friendly and took good care of me and my lunch companion. Great service. I ordered a side salad and a personal size taco pizza. The pizza was the perfect size and chock full of delicious toppings, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. I could definitely go for another one when I return to PA. You should visit this restaurant if you're ever in Pine Grove.

Best place to eat in Pine Grove! You can't go wrong with any menu item. Super good homemade desserts.

I've visited this place twice now and usually I'm not too inspired to write a review, but my visit…read morelast night really showed how much I enjoy the general vibe and especially the food of this place. When you enter this place its at ground level and immediately you recognize you need to take the stairs up. Once you usher yourself up it opens up to two areas where you wait to be seated. The place is an older vintage like gastropub where the front is one bar and some seating, but on the backside is more open seating with where the band and another bar are situated. This place isn't meant to be for large groups, but could possibly accommodate groups of 6. The main bar which also next to the kitchen is an older vintage style bar and whisky's is nothing special but once you sit down and hear the music you settle in nicely. Service has always been courteous and prompt and the menu looks like there are a good assortment of choices. The two times I've been here I've ordered the mussels which includes great sauce and spread with seasoned ground meet. Was so yummy! The second time I came I tried the CHICKEN FRICASSEE. Man was that great! It includes 4 pieces of bread, chicken and the mushroom sauce. So good! Both times I had some of their assortment of single scoop ice-cream which in this area, something about the milk from their amish cows is so creamy. All that said, this is one of my fav places to come enjoy a glass of wine and food. Oh and Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday's they have some instrumental band playing too.

You know those meals that are so darn delicious that days later your still thinking about it?…read more Well this was that meal!! OMG. In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. My husband says it was the best shrimp and grits he's ever had! My steak tips were equally as yummy. The sauce was out of this world good!! The fries!! Jesus what was that sorcery ?? YUMMMM. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

I've eaten here several times. In fact my family surprised me for my 60th birthday in 2019. In 2022…read morewe came here to celebrate our grandson's high school graduation. Last year we came for a Mother's Day lunch. So I've been here a lot. Most recently we came here after Sunday service. I love eating here. The food is delicious. The wait staff is friendly, professional and very attentive. There is one particular cook named Cymba who works on the grill. Her food is amazing. The ambiance at the Blue Bird is vibrant. It has a cozy feel for a restaurant that is often full inside and out. The prices are reasonable, so that is a definite plus.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a cozy, memorable evening. A real…read morefire crackled in the stone fireplace in the lounge, and we were ushered into a charming stone dining room that felt like stepping back in time. The building itself clearly carries history -- I actually had to duck slightly to pass through the low stone archway leading to our table. It added to the character and intimacy of the space. We started with the tuna tartare, which was a standout. I'm "that aunt" in the family -- the one who encourages the kids to try new things -- and this dinner was my monthly outing with my nephew. So yes, raw tuna hit the table. It turned out to be the perfect introduction. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and approachable, it made trying something new feel effortless. A total win. He ordered chicken nuggets, and while that might sound simple, they were clearly house-made, fresh-cut, and thoughtfully prepared. For chicken nuggets, they were excellent. My scallops, unfortunately, didn't quite land for me. The accompanying preparation felt overly complex and ended up overpowering the natural delicacy of the scallops. That said, the menu offers plenty of other intriguing options, and I'd absolutely return to explore more. Service throughout the evening was kind, attentive, and prompt -- exactly what you hope for during a relaxed dinner out. Overall, a warm, character-filled spot with standout starters and welcoming staff. Looking forward to the next visit.
