I solicited…read morehis services on Yelp after reading through his numerous positive reviews (and even the one or negative ones) to determine he was the right guy for the job. Alex was very responsive throughout the planning and execution process, and even oversaw the entire installation. His crew were dedicated and skilled workers who were very kind. Scope of the project included covering an existing concrete slab. Alex made sure to add 3-4 inch rebar dowels every 24 inches and wire mesh to give the new layer something finer to hold on to, in addition to the binding agent for a more firm fusion. We also paid extra for the 3,500 PSI rated concrete given the Texas heat. Further, he extended the sides of our driveway, replacing the paver stone and gravel with level concrete. This also included fixing part of the walkway that had been pushed up by Live Oak roots, which was a tripping hazard, and now forming a smooth transition. Alex was also great when it came to pricing. He was very transparent, and me not being a concrete guy, asked a good friend who's been a general contractor for 30+ years to review the proposal and methods, and follow the work, all of which he said was done expertly. We have known Roadrunner Decks since 2013, when we were in need of a major renovation of a large…read moredeck surrounding our 27K gallon swimming pool. We chose them because of their workmanship and details called out in their quote, like support structure. The original deck was built with all Wolmanized wood in 1992. We chose cedar for the renovation. Since then, Roadrunner Decks has also provided refinishing services with their team led by Roberto, who I have found to be very thorough and knowledgeable of the process and products to use. I knew that there was something to the process to obtain a long lasting, beautiful finish from refinishing antique wood with my father. But decks are a different beast due to the exterior elements. The process that Roadrunner Decks uses is simple and clean; all decks need to be free of all items in advance - furniture, plants, etc.: power spray, lightly sand horizontal surfaces, apply two coats penetrating oil stain - color of your choice, allow to dry for 2-3 days to be safe and cure before using. Our latest refinish of three deck sections (front entry, back top, back pool) took two (2) weeks total time. The results of their work can be seen in the pictures below. The finish will last ~2-3 years and will deteriorate depending upon weather conditions, sunlight exposure, and swimming pool water chemical exposure. Some sections that are shaded more can last longer but it is best to refinish the entire deck at once for a consistent color. Big Thank You again to Roberto, and Humberto, Roberto, and Jose for their hard work, beautiful results, and clean up! This was the 5th time it has been refinished by them!

My old 25 year old cement driveway was stained, cracked, and puddled like crazy after any rain, and joints were missing mastic and had hollowed out with toads living inside. His team did the demo work and installed the pavers in just a few days for a pretty large driveway. They were good about cleaning up on a daily basis and the pricing was competitive. The result is incredible. RcTex also made sure to slope the driveway as I asked to avoid puddling and also installed a parking pad with retaining wall for my other car that doesn't fit into the garage. Finally they applied a sealer to the pavers for a nice wet look and to avoid stains. Pretty happy with the work! Highly recommend.
