Honestly, 5-star isn't sufficient. Working with Joseph was absolutely the best experience I've ever…read morehad with a home renovation vendor and I've worked with dozens of them. Ever. Seriously. I had met with 6 other potential deck installers before Joseph and none of them came close to offering what Joseph offered in terms of craftsmanship, creativity, attention to detail, and thankfully, affordable pricing. Joseph and his crew of 3 went above-and-beyond for our project: a total tear down and complete replacement of our aging, structurally unsafe 2-story backyard deck of about 1200 sq. feet that was neglected for years by the former owner. We didn't simply want to recreate the old deck with new material; instead, we wanted to be bold and design an unique, one-of-a-kind deck, but within our budget. That's hard to pull off, but Joseph was able to do it. Despite losing a few days here and there due to rain and delays on material, Joseph & Co. were able to finish everything in about 2 months. I'm very hands-on with my home renovation projects. So Joseph and I spent dozens of hours scoping out this project, discussing pricing and materials, and project managing the project each day. Joseph always made the time to answer my (numerous) questions and he drove to my home dozens of times to check on his crew's work and speak with me. (He lives about an hour away.) Joseph is such a brilliant, knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy, and conscientious man who truly is passionate about his craft. He constantly came up with creative solutions to develop what I consider a very original deck, from the configuration he came up with to lay down 3 different sizes and 3 different colors of Timbertech deck boards, to installing thin cabling for our railing, to installing a lighting system for the railings and upper deck that perfectly illuminates every inch of both floors at night. He's also a perfectionist like I am. If something was slightly off, he'd work to get it perfect. Since this post is getting long. I'll end with commending his crew of 3 who worked their butts off for us every day. They were professional and thoughtful every step of the way. Whenever we had a nitpick, they would patiently address our concern. Please see photos below of the superb work Joseph & Co. did! Our guests complement us every time they come over and step out onto the deck.

I had wanted a deck since I bought the house in 2004 and had spent the previous year processing and designing exactly what I wanted. All the men who worked for him were pleasant and patient with my daily questions. I am one of those who would rather be outdoors any day. I now have a deck that I think is the BEST room in the house!! I would readily do business with Joseph and his company again.

Review I hired Alex…read moreinitially remove and replace my driveway, add a front porch, and a sidewalk down to the street from the new front porch. The job took quite a bit longer then what I was initially told some of which had to so with issues getting the permit and the actual inspection for the permit for one reason or another. Other then the work taking significantly longer then expected the work did get done and the permit got approved, but there were a number of cosmetic fit and finish issues that I repeatedly informed him about that are still not resolved. With that work completed and despite the red flags with the work I decided to bring him back for a new porch and retaining wall in my backyard. Again the work took longer then expected it was difficult to get responses and dates for the work nailed down. I also made the mistake of of not pressing to have an actual written bid/invoice/work detail before starting. About a week after the work finished cracks started showing up across everything that was installed and some larger portions started to separation from the house. The areas that didn't separate started to pull on my slab starting to damage the house itself if not addressed. I informed Alex of this and after a lot of unanswered texts and a contentious voice mail and phone call eventually he came out to look at what was happening. He at the time suggested some caulking would address the issue and that they could seal the porch, for extra cost, to prevent cracking. Further attempts to get Alex to come back and fix the porch failed as he repeatedly didn't show up when he said he would and once when he showed up after I told him I wouldn't be around he cut some slots in the retaining wall and left after about 15 minutes doing none of the other work previously mentioned to fix things. At this time I informed him the porch needed to be fully removed as it's just causing further damage and he mentioned getting insurance involved and that he would come by on a date we agreed on. That date came and again with multiple calls and texts getting no response I finally gave up. Additionally I still don't have my fence back up where they took it down for the work and said they would put it back up and when they brought in the concrete truck they drove it on my lawn and broke my French drain. At this point I've hired someone else to remove the work that Alex did and to do everything over again correctly. I'm not out about $7k without any real recourse. Stay far far away from this business and find someone else to do the work. Check the photos I've added if you want more info.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate your hard work, clean job site, excellent workmanship, great communication, friendliness, happy smiles and awesome attitudes!! WE loved how you told us how you considered the jobs interesting challenges and used your knowledge, sources and creativity to fix our back door and the 'squirrel challenged' siding! Best of all, you fixed the siding so the squirrels can't chew it anymore! When we said we were so relieved the squirrels wouldn't bother it anymore, Steven said, "I hope not.... for their sake"! Pretty funny Steven. We were hesitant about the back door because it has a large treasured piece of stained glass encased in it that was lovingly crafted by a precious aunt. We couldn't find anyone willing to take it on. You guys were amazingly careful and thorough in fixing the wood rot at the bottom of it and then painting it. Very professionally done. We also REALLY appreciated you making many trips to the paint store and hardware stores to make sure the paint for the doors was just the right color and the weather stripping worked...all without charging extra! Once again, your work was excellent. I will leave great reviews on Next Door and Yelp! We were so thankful you were honest with us about not being sure about being able to put the canopy back up so we were able to have that taken care of. Another excellent job guys!!! A huge relief for us. You are the best!! And to all you lucky people who will use their services, RELAX and enjoy...they've got you!!!
