Banana Bread

It was our first coffee shop visit as new Springdale residents, and it did not disappoint. This place is adorable. The inside is quaint and welcoming, with a large meeting space towards the back. The baristas were outstanding and so friendly. My cafe au lait was perfect. My husband ordered a drink, and the barista warned him it was sweet, which he doesn't like, but she said she could make it not as sweet, and she did just that. We had the chocolate croissant, banana bread, and ham and cheese croissant. All were delicious and served on adorable plates. Everything is locally sourced, from the coffee beans to the chocolate syrup. A few people complain about the wi-fi. This is a coffee shop meant for relaxing and enjoying friends. The barista said the wi-fi in the entire strip is spotty. So please do not go here to be accessible and productive. Go to unwind and get away.

Checks most of the boxes when it comes to being a great coffee shop: excellent espresso drinks, friendly baristas, nice ambiance, plenty of seating options, decent wifi, easy parking etc... So why not 5*? Well, their only artificial sweetener option is stevia (=bitter!), so I have to remember to bring my own Splenda.

Great vibe, lots of seating both indoor and outdoor, both a regular menu and a seasonal menu, and breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I had the iced blackberry oat latte, and it was great-- it has blackberry sage, vanilla, and oat milk. Certainly different, but not a wild, "out there" flavor combination. I love that they found a unique drink to make with fairly normal flavors. I'd get it again! My friend had a blueberry muffin, and it was delicious, as well! This place also Carrie's macaroon pastries made by another local spot-- Alchemy, which is phenomenal. This is a fantastic partnership that I LOVE to see!

Iced carmilla latte

Great location in Springdale to grab a cup of coffee! Used to be an Onyx then switched to Red Kite. My best friend lives in Harber Meadows, so when I'm in town we regularly come here for coffee and to catch up. I have been here several times through the years and always have a good experience. Not the absolute best coffee I've ever had, but am always pleased with what I order! I brought my dad here for his first time today; he got a smoothie and I got an iced carmilla latte. The smoothie had a very rich fruit flavor. The coffee was well balanced with the caramel and vanilla, and iced was the way to go on a hot summer day. Our barista was really friendly and engaged us in a chat about the history of Northwest Arkansas as he made our drinks. The decor is artistic and has a chill vibe. They do have some snack options, but it looked like those were lacking today around lunchtime. Plenty of seats inside as well as out on the patio when we were there at lunchtime on a Friday. Walking distance to several other Harber Meadows businesses including Harp's. If you're catching up with an old friend or want a chill spot to get some work done, this is a lovely place to stop by!

You can see my thumb for reference.

Great coffee spot - however, it'd be nice if a coffee spot was open earlier than 6:30 AM...

Stunning. A beautiful store in a beautiful small town downtown that's been/being revived. This…read morefacility is modern, yet traditional. It's exceptionally comfortable and shiny clean. It's family-friendly, as well as providing peace and quiet for those seeking that. Pastries are excellent. Ice cream is excellent. Coffee is superb (and that's from someone visiting from Seattle) and world-class. And downstairs is the production center for Onyx's Terroir world-class chocolate brand, producer of award-winning chocolate by the mind and palate that was the driving force and the cofounder behind Markham and Fitz before joining Onyx. Be sure to check that facility out downstairs when you visit and have a taste of the amazing chocolates (and probably a bit of chocolate learning while you're there). We brought both coffee and chocolate back to Seattle.

I came in the morning so did not get to try their cocktails or ice cream but love that those are options here; they are now doing so much more than just coffee. This location is an old bank and Onyx redesigned it to make such a cool use of the space while still preserving the overall layout and architecture. The upstairs is a designated work space where no phones are allowed, the main floor is the coffee shop, and the basement is a shop and their chocolate factory! It honestly feels like Onyx has thought of everything. Not only is their coffee delicious, but they are on the cutting edge of everything a trendy coffee shop should have. They have an "onyx honor bar" where you can fill a cup of their house coffee and tap to pay without waiting in line. Their iced teas come with free refills. They have a case full of delicious pastries and chocolates to choose from. They have a walk-up window for ice cream, so you don't even have to go inside and wait in the same line as those wanting coffee. You can see the chocolate factory downstairs in the old bank vault and the staff can tell you which chocolates pair best with which of their coffees. The shop downstairs is all tap-and-go, allowing you to get what you need without waiting for someone to come help you. I got a hot Onyx Delight which is a staple on their menu that is hard to pass up; it is a signature latte with vanilla, cinnamon, and honey that is made perfectly every time. I will always be a big Onyx fan and am stoked to have this location in Springdale!

Starbucks - W. Sunset Ave. (Springdale)…read more I stopped by here for few hours, sipping on my For-Here Mug, Hot Tea, enjoying this beautiful atmosphere. Seating galore - whopping, 56! Let me first say that this location has great baristas that not only willing to help you with your order, but can spike up a personal conversation with you. It's a small gesture that speaks volume when you can go to a business and it mean more than just a business transaction. Thank you, Even (Store Manager) and Leslie for a great service! From the outside, it has a gorgeous entrance with red brick and wooden planks to make it feel like you're about to enter into something more than just a coffee shop. Once inside, I was impressed. Space is surprisingly much larger than it looks from the outside. This is definitely a perfect spot for small and large groups. As soon as you come in, to the right you have option for four tables and eight chairs. To the left you have large conference table with eight chairs. Against the windows, additional seating with four chairs. As you walk towards the Order Counter, to the right you'll discover large and beautiful old-style map displaying, "The Three Coffee Growing Regions of the World." Below it a large wooden bench with four tables and four chairs. By the merchandise shelf, more seating. Four tables and eight chairs. You'd think that's all they offer for their seating. They also have additional six medal tables and twelve high chairs. The total seating for interior comes to whopping - forty-four seating options. If you still can't fit your large group inside, not to worry. They offer even more seating on their patio with, six tables and twelve chairs. I'm looking forward to returning here. One of the baristas shared with me that, "This location is soon to be remodeled." Overall, great experience to come and get work done or hangout with your family and friends.

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received today…read more This morning, I stopped by Starbucks and ordered my usual espresso drink. Unfortunately, the drink was made incorrectly and tasted like a very milky latte. Since I had already paid for it and did not drink it, I left the full drink in my car so I could bring it back after work to have it remade. When I returned, I brought the untouched drink with the original sticker still on the cup. I politely asked if they could remake it. The manager on duty, a short white woman, took the drink and spent several minutes trying to locate my order in the system. After about five minutes, she told me she could not find the order and refused to remake the drink because I did not have the receipt. I explained that the drink was completely untouched and that Starbucks is known for remaking drinks when customers are not satisfied. Despite this, she insisted that she could not help me without a receipt. I find this very frustrating. I went out of my way to return with the full, undrunk drink in hand, clearly showing that there was an issue with my order. Instead of resolving the problem, I was turned away over a receipt that most customers do not keep. I have always enjoyed Starbucks, but this experience was disappointing and did not reflect the level of customer service I expect.
