Maple w jimmies

Cash or check only. Small little place serving soft serve only ice cream as well as seafood and burgers. I had the lobster roll for $23.95 comes with fries. Mayo only no choice for warm butter. The lobster was pretty much all claw meat and very tasty. If they served this as a warm butter option, I would give 5/5 stars. The hot dog bun was perfectly toasted and buttery. Price point was extremely worth it and reasonable. Flavor of the month for ice cream was maple. Ice cream was so delicious. They have a ton of topping choices. Outdoor tables. Bank close by to get cash. No ATM on site.

People coming for ice cream are missing out on some of the best seafood in the state. Where else can you find deep fried scallops, perfectly tender inside with a crispy batter exterior? Fried oysters, clams, shrimp, and onion rings round out an indulgent and luxurious meal enjoyed outdoors in a no-frills, nostalgic atmosphere.

Quick, tasty and something for everyone! We had the lobster rolls, Cole slaw, and I cream cones. It was all good. I recommend the butter crunch topping on the ice cream cone which is a mixture of Jimmie's and crushed peanut brittle. Plenty of parking on site. Check the store hours though.

Lobster and clam rolls

I travel a ton and look for great places to stop and eat. I love myself a lobster roll and read the reviews on this eatery, so decided to stop in. I have been to Maine for lobster rolls and this place doesn't come close. The lobster was good, but they take the lobster and grind it up and throw mayo in it to add more filler to the roll so you only get about 3 pieces of real lobster. We also had the fried clam roll. It was good. Batter is super thick though. For the prices, I would expect an actual lobster roll with full chunks of meat.

Had dozens of lobster rolls & never made this accusation but 95% sure their 100% lobster roll has fake crab meat. Not just tail vs. claw

I've had dozens of lobster rolls in my 29 years and I'm pretty sure (and my sister agreed) that their "100% real lobster" roll had fake crab meat. It was still tasty, but I'll be stopping somewhere else next time through Meredith to spend $15 (cash only) somewhere else. Fries were solid and service was nice though.

Portions are very small. $4.36?

I didn't try the ice cream. The strip roll was definitely solid though. The food came out fast. I'd go back!

We've had our share of chowder in New England and this was the best! Entrees arrived and we had a variety such as Seared Tuna ,Blacked Mahi, Seafood Linguine, and stuffed Prawns. The tuna was exceptional, Seafood pasta good. The Mahi was dry but our server rushed to redo it.Came back perfect! Good wine selection. Definitely would go back.

Two burgers ordered medium were instead cooked well done, and a veggie bowl with rice was served with the most poorly cooked rice I've ever seen in a restaurant. It was a solid bowl-shaped mound of gummy rice mush. And when I asked if there was a non-dairy alternative to the naan it should have come with, I was told no but I suspect the waiter just didn't want to ask. The restaurant itself was nice enough, but we were seated near the bar, which was noisier than I would have preferred. (Mostly from the very chatty bartender) I'm sure they would have preferred being told at the time, but I wasn't interested in sending back 3 out of 5 meals. But eating out has gotten too expensive to accept meals that poor. It was $190 with tip for five. (No alcohol, but 3 mocktails) My son liked the Thai salmon.

Portion sizes are pretty massive. My dining partner got the meatloaf dish. It was absolutely ginormous! We were in an Airbnb without a full kitchen, so though we took it with us, he never did eat it. It was heavily glazed with something he did not like. Had it been glazed with a little lighter hand, he probably would not have minded it. But he did not like that flavor at all. The mac & cheese was good but again heavier than he likes to eat. The seafood dish I had, on the other hand, was very good. It had plenty of pieces of lobster in it, as well as generous portions of shellfish. The broth was also excellent. As this is a pricier place, we only made one trip during our 13-day stay. It is worth a visit here, and you'll likely get enough for a second meal. There were lots of good choices on the menu. I originally thought to give this place 5 stars based on my dish, but due to the fact that my dining partner did not make any effort to eat the rest of his meal he took home because he said he didn't like it enough, that took a star away.

As a first time customer, I called in advance to see what Sal has in stock, and decided to go for the cod and scallops, and some frozen octopus for today. Not having seen what he packed for me beforehand (but trusting other reviews of this place from both yelp and google), I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully thick chuck of cod fillet (that would've cost 2-3x elsewhere, you normally only get thin, small pieces for the price Sal charges), and a amazing bag of fresh DRY large and plump scallops (for the price that other places would typically sell wet ones at). I was initially looking for branzino but learned that for whole fish, you can call him by Tuesday, he'll get it Thursday and you can pick it up Friday or Saturday. I'm now kind of glad he didn't have branzino so we got a chance to try his fresh reconnections! We just ate (devoured) the scallops and have the cod marinading in miso. Sal definitely has us as customers for life, even with the far drive.

Enso Japanese Steak House - Incredible sushi roll.

We ate here twice within a week during Laconia Bike Week. The first experience was good, where…read moreservice was a bit slow but very friendly. Note that ALL tables here are very small. The layout is somewhat strange, as there are only very small tables for two, seats at the bar, or seats at only 2 hibachi tables. There's also a choice of sitting outside in a counter-like experience on the porch (although there is a good view of the lake). So unless you're having hibachi, forget about a larger group. The food was good but timing was bad. We shared a generous portion of Shumai as an appetizer, as well as a couple of sushi rolls. All came out together, which made it so the warm rolls were cold by the time we got to them after eating our appetizer. I think they were called Ocean Breeze and Green Dragon. We came back a few nights later, and this would be our last visit. While the food was good, service was horrendous. Two of us were there for TWO hours!!! TWO hours to get an appetizer, 2 sushi rolls, and dessert. We were already tired from working a long day, and not in the mood for a two-hour meal. They said they were very busy because they have only one fryer that was backed up, which was needed for the Volcano roll that we ordered. Yes, that roll was really delicious, but not worth the amount of time it took. We made the mistake of ordering the Fried Ice Cream for dessert (it looked interesting at another table), not realizing there was still a large back up for the fryer. It took almost half an hour to get that! For this very reason, we would never ever ever go back. An irritating side note was the amount of pressure that was put on us to order a drink from the bar. Neither one of us drink alcohol or soda, and we both only wanted water with our meal. The server continually came over to push drinks on us. Even after saying we only wanted water, we were asked yet again from someone else. Once or twice, OK. 4 or 5 times is annoying. As I said, the food is good, but we will not go back again.

My experience with the Hibachi grill at Enso left me feeling quite conflicted. We made a…read morereservation for a party of four, which required an $80 deposit upfront ($20 per person). When our final bill arrived, it totaled $186 for just two of us, and while we were issued an $80 gift certificate to offset the deposit, the value just didn't seem to match the quality of the meal. Ultimately, the food was just okay. For the price point, I expected a more elevated experience; instead, the meal felt heavily padded with inexpensive staples like rice, noodles, and vegetables. Given the high cost and the somewhat confusing deposit structure, I left feeling like it wasn't a great value. While the venue itself has a nice atmosphere, I'm not sure the hibachi experience justifies the premium price tag. Key points to keep in mind regarding my visit: * **Pricing Structure:** The requirement to pay a $20 per-person deposit in advance feels restrictive, especially when the final bill is already quite high. * **Value:** The portion composition relies heavily on fillers like rice and noodles rather than premium ingredients, making the overall cost feel disproportionate to the quality. * **Overall Impression:** While the experience was functional, it didn't meet the expectations set by the pricing.
