Great food, superb ambiance, friendly service and excellent views. You go and order your food, wait a bit, pick it up and go sit down at one of four places in the property. Their lobster rolls are yummy. We also had burgers galore in our party. The seating areas are everywhere. One outside parallel to the parking lot. One cozy area next to the souvenir shop. One large one inside. And a terrace. Choices for everyone.

I liked mine. The fries and the slaw were good too. There are picnic tables outside at which to eat. I liked that the trays and containers the food came were mostly sustainable. If you're looking for something fancy, this might not fit your goals, but if you want a great lobster roll in a no-nonsense setting, give this place a try.

The captains platter can feed three people at least! It is heavy on the shrimp and they come with clam bellies, not strips - so keep that in mind. I got Ray's wrap - nothing too special but it was tasty. They also have onion nuggets - which I have never seen before and were delicious!! All the fried food was fried very well. Those are often the meals you remember more than the ones you carefully planned. It can get busy, and I can understand why. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is fun, the drinks are good and the staff are welcoming. It reminded me of somewhere you might wander into on vacation in the Caribbean, where the afternoon just sort of unfolds around you and nobody is in much of a hurry. The outdoor beach bar right on the lake feels like a little summer vacation, which is about right as they're only open in the summer. It's laid-back, scenic, and the perfect place to settle in whether you are putting a boat in at the dock, or just coming to watch. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is super relaxed, and it's one of those rare spots where locals, tourists, and people just passing through all mix together. The food is decent, but honestly, that's not the main reason you come here. The exception: the lobster roll is fantastic and worth the market price. Generous portions. Otherwise, you come for the setting. A must-stop in Meredith. If you drink alcohol, try their mixed drinks!

My sandwich was made to order and ready in about 10 minutes. The big sub sandwich was cut and wrapped in halves and boxed up to go. I had to rush back to my vehicle before paid time ran out, parked about half a mile away on Endicott Street. I headed over to Meredith and enjoyed my sandwich out on Town Docks lakefront which has ample free parking, unlike the overcrowded Weirs Beach area. The Traditional Chicken Cut Sandwich/Sub was actually two sandwiches, so the pricing seemed appropriate. The semi thick chicken cutlets were nicely breaded smothered my marinara sauce and melted provolone cheese of chewy Italian bread sub loafs. I would likely try the American Chicken Cutlet Sub next time, which has American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mayo. NOTE: There is a clear tip jar container at the counter essentially begging for tips. However, when I paid cash for my sub, I got change back less a dollar bill.
