    1 scoop pistachio

Looking for a quick stop for ice cream and the name obviously caught our eye! They had a good variety of ice cream flavors but nothing really impressed me. Ended up choosing Pistachio as it's my tried and true. This one was a little strong with pistachio flavor. Not bad, but not great. The servings were HUGE for the price which was definitely a plus. A 1-scoop was easily 2+ at some other shops.

Neat little drive-in restaurant located across the street from the Northfield Police Dept. Dipsy Doodle Dairy Bar offers burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, fried seafood (haddock, clams, scallops, shrimp), lobster rolls, chicken tenders, chowder, salads, fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, Pepsi products (vending machine outside too), and ice cream treats (25 hard flavors plus soft serve, dipped cones, sundaes, shakes,). Food items are served solo, but for $1.50 more can be upgraded to plates (fries & slaw). There are outside takeout windows, outside picnic tables and a takeout counter with inside seating, but just be warned that the inside really smells a strong odor of seafood. Stopped here for lunch and had the Chicken Tenders Sandwich Plate ($7.29 with tax), which was ready in 10 minutes. The food was pretty good and tasty. The sandwich had 2 breaded plump white meat chicken tender with lettuce & tomato on a toasted bun with side of mayo, with lightly fried fresh cut fries, and a light tasting minced cole slaw. Got a refreshing small coffee cone ($2.43 with tax) for dessert afterwards.

A dead wasp sitting in my food after I had eaten the fries around it.

I am a huge fan of good fried clams, both my sister and my mother claims that this place has some of the best in the area. So I drove down to try them out and when I got there, the board outside showing the prices said that they were about $18-$20. When I went to order, a girl who looked like she had no clue what she was doing, probably fairly new, took my order, and I insisted on giving a small tip. Even though that was all I got, the price ended up being over $30!!! For a few ounces or so of clams and fries. I'm not a person of confrontation and like I said, the girl running the register looked new. I did try to hint that I think she was charging me a little much by hinting that "the price of clams must be high nowadays" and small things like that but ended up paying far too much for what I got. However, after that things went smoothly. The food didn't take too long and the person handling the food even gave me some extra sour cream. Considering I ordered this food during the pandemic, I took it and started to head to my house and eat it there. Once I was in my car I did open up the container once and quickly eat a clam, but I once again closed it tightly and headed home. The clams were good indeed. When I got home, I got a plate and started shoveling the food onto it, whilst eating a few fries. As I took a fry, it uncovered a (what looked like to be) deep fried wasp or maybe just dead wasp that was just sitting in my food. Sadly, I had only noticed this after I had eaten the fry that was covering it and that it had likely been touching. I understand that the windows are open in the hot spring and summer and that bugs will occasionally get into the building, but working at a place where I use deep friers and prepare food similarly as well, it's not very hard to spot a bug, maybe a hair or something out of the ordinary when preparing food like this. Seems like the people here just didn't really pay much retention when preparing the food and unfortunately I got the result. After that ordeal, I grabbed what I could from around the wasp and ate what was salvaged. Unfortunately even though it had only been around 10 minutes or so since I had gotten the food, the batter encasing the clams had become soggy and not that great and the fries kind of tasted a bit too potatoey, almost like they were undercooked. All around disappointing experience and I'll only be going back if I'm in the area or am brought there by friends or family.

I was heart broken but it was my own undoing as I djdnt make a reservation. Just as I was opening yelp to find another place to try she came and got me from outside as a spot opened up! That's service! And I won't forget it. All the staff was very kind and she checked in with me several times during my meal to make sure it was going well. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat. So if it took a little bit it was worth it! I'd eat here the next time I'm in Manchester 10/10

Staff appeared uninterested and inattentive, and we had to repeatedly ask for basic items. The food did not justify the prices at all. The seafood was overcooked, lacked flavor, and did not taste fresh. Portions were small for what you pay, and the presentation was careless. Overall, this restaurant is overrated and did not live up to expectations. I won't be returning and would not recommend it unless there are serious improvements in both service and food quality.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could…read more.. What's stopped me from rating this a 5? Well, the service was a LITTLE off. But I attribute this to the fact that the bartender was training somebody new (and we were sitting at the bar because there were no tables available). The fact that there were no tables available is entirely our fault, the fact that the bartender was busy training somebody new was only slightly off-putting. The ambiance, lakefront dining was incredible. But here again, only SLIGHTLY off-putting, was the fact that the sliding glass doors were not wide open on this beautiful August day. I think the breeze off the lake would've been better than the air conditioning. I'm stretching a little bit for the negatives... the positives were too numerous to mention all of them. Simply put, the food was amazing. Totally unexpected for a small town in Sunapee, New Hampshire. Our dishes, from the appetizers to the main courses were totally unexpected, in a very positive way. I wish I took more pictures. But we were busy enjoying our food. I will come back to this place in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

The Maître d' was certainly officious... not even a good day, good afternoon, or even a go to hell. Certainly and genuinely rude. Oftentimes the Maître d' is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and managing reservations at a restaurant, meaning they are the first impression on the customer. Not this one. In our time here, the only person who would need training on customer treatment. But that shouldn't ruin a good evening, and the rest of our time here was superb. The staff, one noted exception, was superb. Smiles, excellent service and great food. Our waitperson was Erin, just a breath of fresh air. I was pleasantly surprised seeing waitpersons assist each other picking up tables and cleaning before the next course. Awesome work. I had the Salmon Poke which was delicious. It is indeed raw but well condimented and delicious. My other half had the chicken kimchi bowl and this too was amazing. We washed it down with two Sauvignon Blancs as dessert was coming. The sorbet was house made and delicious. Overall superb. The harbor views are gorgeous. Food, ambiance, service.

This place is absurdly consistent. The portions are always generous, the quality is never caught lacking, and the dining room is spotless in that reassuring someone actually cares way. The staff (and it's always the same people that are there, which is cool in itself that there's no noticeable turnover in the staff) is friendly without being fake about it... efficient, pleasant, and clearly proud of what they're serving from fryers behind the soda fountains. Let's talk food, because wow. That's why you're reading this. The fried shrimp are so good that my wife (who does not like seafood) actively loves them. That alone should be printed on the menu. I've only known her to eat fried shrimp when the breading weighs more than the shrimp itself (which is not the case here). The tartar sauce is the best in North America. It's my crack. If I drank it through a straw (a bit too thick), that straw would be called a crack pipe. I literally smile writing about this tartar sauce. I will not be taking questions at this time. The "regular" fries are exactly what fries should be: crisp, fluffy, salty perfection. And the onion rings? Peak "fried seafood place" onion rings... golden, crunchy, and unapologetically doing their job, not tempura style, but old school Weathervane "fried seafood style" onion rings that you can sub in instead of fries on plates/boats for a small upcharge. Even the bathrooms are clean, which sounds like a throwaway detail until you realize how rare that is and how much it says about the place. We love it so much that we'll happily drive 40 minutes each way to eat there - in winter - because that's what you do when a place never lets you down. And despite the sign saying Al's Seafood, we tell everyone it's called "Big Al's Seafood" Not because that's the name, but because that's the energy this place has... It's not trendy. It's not trying to reinvent anything. It's just awesome, every single time and honestly, that's harder to pull off than any gimmick. Signing off... keep it up, Big Al.

This small ice cream shop is on a farm and they use their own milk to make their ice creams. There a variety of outdoor seating options such as Adirondack chairs, a swinging bench and picnic tables. They also offer shakes, sundaes and floats. The prices are kind of high; $9 for three scoops and $1 for a cone plus tax. But, the ice cream is really creamy, flavorful and loaded with chunks, which I like. My friend got a pistachio ice cream and it was LOADED with CRUNCHY salted pistachios... I've never had an ice cream in which the pistachios were crunchy! I wished I had ordered that after I saw hers come out. I got three scoops: campfire delight (s'mores), mocha chip and peanut butter Oreo. I wanted to get the blueberry crumble, but it sold out two customers ahead of me. The campfire delight had a bunch of mini marshmallows and decent size chocolate chunks. The mocha chip had a good coffee chocolate flavor and a nice amount of large chocolate chunks, not merely chips. The peanut butter Oreo had a rich peanut butter flavor. The setting was also great to relax & enjoy our frozen delights!
