Lance and his team installed a brand new Carrier unit with a single-stage compressor, variable speed fan, and a digital wi-fi thermostat. We had an issue with the fan being out of round, causing a vibration in the home but Lance's team came out within a reasonable about of time and replaced it under warranty and were very apologetic for the inconvenience. What I like about this system is that it's constantly circulating the air. I was skeptical thinking that my energy bill is going to increase. My June 2018 bill was $138.62 and my June 2019 bill was $94.49. My July 2018 bill was 148.87 and my July 2019 bill was 99.83 so I am saving money. The system is super quiet both inside of the home and outside. It doesn't make a loud sound outside when the compressor turns on. I'm very happy with my purchase. The process was very professional. He came out and did a full analysis of our space to confirm what size unit my home would need to cool it properly. I feel like I have peace of mind knowing that Lance and his company will always do me right. I recommend them.

He was very clear and upfront about the charges both on the phone and again in person and went to great lengths to make sure I knew what he was doing and what the problem was. Sure enough the problem was just what he thought in our phone call and was a quick and inexpensive fix since he had the part on his truck. In and out in maybe 45 minutes and our system blowing cold, and a great price too. Our go-to repair company from here on out for sure!

BEWARE - this is worth the read…read more We had an unusual issue with our AC unit and Southern Temp Control was our first call "out." He talked about wiring, the thermostat brand (he doesn't like it) and finally decided after more than an hour that the electrical contact (outside) at the unit was corroded (it's only a few years old) and implored us to replace it. $400+ But since he clearly wasn't "certain", he also cut the line on our whole house fan, saying it "could" be the culprit and it wasn't really good for the unit to run it. Seemed sketchy but he was the expert and honestly, he's a bit scary. He promised that if this fix did not work he'd be right out to honor his commitment to us. 2 days later the issue was back, and he had his receptionist (daughter) return my call (I had supplied a code "low pressure lockout") to tell us there was a workaround-----hard reset of the compressor. I told her this was not good for the unit and while I didn't like that Rob Wolf could not come until the next afternoon, I accepted the appointment. 30 minutes later, she called back accusing me of hanging up on her (I certainly did not, I agreed to the time and said good bye.) Once again she insisted I use the workaround. She argued with me, and I finally told her I was not going to spend any more time arguing with her. I asked that Rob call me if he had more to say. The next morning I got an email from the receptionist letting us know because of my "abuse" Rob would not be coming on that day or ever. I insisted that having spent $400 already, he owed us a cure. He responded and told me he knew his daughter and I was clearly out of line because she said so. So, he's a hot head? Or maybe he knew he couldn't figure out the issue with our unit so he disavowed his promist to us? All I know is, we called Wood's Comfort System, and they were out the next morning. With a one shot solution. Oh, and they reconnected the wire Rob Wolf said he disconnected. It was actually severed; yep, he literally took snippers and just cut part of our unit's functionality right off. One issue with a one man show is if the boss is not righteous, you have nowhere to turn.

Monday morning, my wife called Bulverde Heating and Air, which is the company we had been using for our regular service. In talking with them, they advised that they could work us in that same week. On Thursday, after several unanswered calls, my wife reached them by text. They told us we weren't on the schedule, but they would work us in the following week. By Thursday of the next week, after not hearing from them, we started calling them. No returned calls led us to texting again. After finally getting a reply, they told us we were not on the schedule, so they would put us on for Tuesday of the next week. Well, that would take us into week 3, and as we have been sitting in record triple degree temps the entire time, I knew it was time to find someone else! You would think that if a company is selling a service that they would do what they say they will do. I was actually shocked that this company treated a client like they treated us. I understand that, with these record hot temps, most of these companies have more to do than they can handle. I get it. Just admit you can't do the job and let us find someone else. Word of mouth advertising is a two-edged sword. It can be the best advertising in the world. or it can be the worst. Guess which one they will get from me.
