I didn't get on it immediately partly because of my schedule and health, also because beneficial critters need somewhere to live and I personally don't like suburban neighborhoods cosplaying as golf courses. But the smaller trees were being crowded out and the march of the ball moss continued and it was just time. C and his brother ran late for the original consult but everything else was perfect. Polite, enthusiastic even though they work on some huge old heritage trees--BIG jobs for big names--and this was just a little cluttered lot, a day's work for a team when they usually require two. It was important to me when he said "this is what we love doing, going in and saving trees [for the long term]." The day of? Smooth as glass. Missed one small thing on the list but did at least two others that weren't requested for the price quote. They cleaned up after themselves, they worked around circumstances, and they did that under their own steam because I was out of commission with a severe migraine. Stump from the sizable cedar they removed? What stump? No tripping hazards here, and no possum picnic table kind of stump like another removal company left in my neighbor's yard. It felt great hiring local, the price was fair, and we're happy with the results.

Meagan came out to assess what needed to be done and, after discussing the details of how they approach problems, take precautions to prevent damage and disease, meticulously clean up after themselves, etc., I hired Second Arborist to take care of our problem trees, a total of seven, and lift the canopy to allow more sunlight to reach our flower beds and lawn, and give everything a nice refresh. I had a huge red oak tree that cracked and lost a really big limb. Part of the branch fell on my…read moreroof. The limb was at least 24" in circumference and was just about to fully break off. I couldn't get anyone out here the same day to keep the limb from falling and doing more damage until I called Jaime. He came out within 2 hours of my call. Jaime knew how to 'surgically' cut the limb so that it didn't do any additional damage to the roof. After looking at the branch he showed me where the center of the tree was hollow and rotted so he had to take out more than just the one huge branch. You can tell that he knows what he's talking about so I did what he recommended. He topped off the tree in such a way that it doesn't look bald, but still a nice tree. Service requested was for them to clear tree branches away from our pool, they also were going to…read moreother services but the main thing was cutting the branches around our pool. I was on a call when I did the walk thru with the manager on site, so I was rushing and didn't notice the trees by the pool were not cut. I called to let them know that trees around the pool were not done. And I was blamed for it not being done because I didn't see it when we did the walk through. The management went to telling me how much money 200.00 dollars it was going to cost him to get workers back out. I am still waiting for a call back to be scheduled for our job we paid for to be finished. Very disappointed with service I received. Below is the estimate of everything that was supposed to be done. Back yard: Oak trees, deadwood removal, sucker reduction, canopy lift, pool clearance, Front yard: oak tree shape. $1350 labor $111 tax $1461 total $500 deposit Balance due upon completion.
