2 Oaks trees, 1 overgrown Lygestrium and a mulberry something were all over the top of the house. Scrapping during storms across the roof. Big fire hazard - lots of dead branches on the oaks. We chose San Antonio Tree Surgeons because they state tools are sanitized and oaks are painted where there are cuts to prevent oak wilt issues. I liked the pictures of their work. They made our trees look like living sculptures. The wind blews through the trees for the 1st time. Beautiful. We did not have to wait. Arborist Priscilla came out assessed, sent us a invoice and the workers were out next day. They worked fast and somehow cleaned up all those tiny branches. For all the work, the bill was very reasonable. Will use them again. I liked that the arborist answered questions. Office staff will send msg every step and promptly answer you back. Thank you SA Tree Surgeons! read more

Got a few quotes to get my oak tree trimmed and a large bush in my backyard pruned. They by far were the most reasonable. Sean Berry came out to give me a a quote and gave me recommendations on how to nourish my bush back to health . From the point of quote and the working being done there was quite a delay. There was rain periodically between the time but it took about 3-4 weeks before they came. The workers were on time and quick. They cleaned everything up and left within an hour or two. I would use this company again. read more

Hello! San Antonio tree surgeons did a phenomenal job taking care of our front and backyard. I called and spoke to Lola on Friday morning & an arborist was at my house within the following hour giving my wife a quote. They had the work done the next week & the job was done precisely as quoted. Everything from coordinating to execution was completed in a timely fashion! Highly recommend these folks!!!! read more

I can't say enough great things about the team at San Antonio Tree Surgeons! Jennifer and Lola were amazing at coordinating with my busy schedule and helping me get a quote for tree removal and stump grinding! The job was done the very next week by a very helpful crew of guys that hauled everything away and left my yard looking amazing!! read more

what an amazing company, they were very prompt and getting back with me and scheduling an estimate. They also were on time when they came and did a very professional job. Even better they cleaned up very well. I would highly recommend this great company. read more

The personnel that I dealt with were knowledgeable and friendly but the scheduling was very inefficient! I was told "next week" and had to contact Sean and Jennifer several times to finally get service. They came a day AFTER I requested the work be done because I was planning a party and then did not finish the job until the following week! Despite the scheduling issues, the crew did EXCELLENT work in removing several large branches that had fallen in my backyard and cleaned up all the wood chips and debris. I received a follow-up call apologizing for the scheduling issues and promising a second treatment of a fungus-infected red oak tree. Also, the price was reasonable for the work done. read more

I as of yet have not used the services. But a young man came out to my place and looked over my yard and gave an estimate. So just getting someone to show up as scheduled is an accomplishment in its self. Kinda sad for the industry as a whole. Im a new home owner in the area and getting anyone to show up for estimates and to do work around the san Antonio area has been unbelievably difficult. . So once Im ready they will bebthe company i call. read more

Professional clean work done on schedule and in timely manner. The contractor did what was expected.

Great service. Received estimate and crew came out the next day. They removed one tree and trimmed several others. Great clean up too.

Amazing service! Was able to come by the same day I asked for an estimate for tree removal, which was very fair in pricing, and gave me some recommendations for replacement trees in the fall. When I scheduled, they came out the next day and were quick and professional in cutting the tree down and hauling it away. Left the area clean and without any small tree branches/leaves remaining. read more

Recently, I arranged for the removal of a 30-year-old tree from my front yard. The decision was challenging; however, the root system had begun to threaten my foundation and encroach upon my neighbor's property. The team from San Antonio Tree Surgeons demonstrated exceptional efficiency and professionalism. My initial consultation was with Mr. Paul, an arborist, who conducted a thorough site assessment, provided a comprehensive estimate that I found reasonable, and addressed all my numerous inquiries. The removal team exhibited a high degree of expertise, successfully completing the tree removal without incident and conducting a thorough cleanup afterward. I engaged the services of the San Antonio Tree Surgeons' staff to remove the stump, during which the worker explained the process in detail. The office personnel responsible for scheduling both the removal and stump grinding were courteous and professional. It is of utmost importance to me that companies offer a comprehensive service package covering all essential aspects. I highly recommend the San Antonio Tree Surgeons. read more

I called this company and they came out very quickly to give me a free estimate. They were able to schedule quickly and let me know when they were coming, and were flexible with my schedule. San Antonio Tree Surgeons have been out to help us multiple times. Arborists have come out to advise us about tree problems, a dying oak tree and aphid infestation of Crepe Myrtles. Each time they have provided excellent service and detailed, understandable information. Their removal of a dying oak leaning over our house was amazing to watch. They expertly removed large branches without any branches falling on our roof. I was also impressed how they were able to spray Neem oil to the tops of our very tall Crepe Mrytle trees to prevent recurrence of aphid infestation this year. They are my choice for tree problems. read more

I used Tree Surgeons in 2019 and 2020. Annette was the arborist and she was knowledgeable and professional. I was hoping for them to return and trim the trees again in 2021 at the same value or a little more given recent inflation. Unfortunately the quote came back at $700 for three (3) trees versus the $600 for four (4) trees previously trimmed in 2019 and 2020. How does the price jump for less work? That went from $150 average cost to $233 or ~55% price increase. Inflation sucks but not to that degree. Brad at the office just said 'trees are different' to justify the cost then asks when I wanted to schedule a visit showing poor customer service and understanding. It is unfortunate when you thought you found a company you thought was great value and ethics just for them to disappoint you in a manner of two emails. Final email from Brad: Do you think for a minute that you can bully us into reducing your estimate with the threat of a review? Not only is that not going to work, we will never work for you again in the future. Tree services are raising the prices with you because you are so difficult to work with. The trend will continue unless you change how you treat people that do work at your home. Sincerely, Brad Ridenhour Certified Arborist TX-3558A www.SanAntonioTreeSurgeons.com 210-692-0550 read more

They were on time. The had a great crew. They got to work on what was agreed upon, cleaned up. Their prices were reasonable. I would work with them again. read more

We had a total of 5 trees cut down, 2 trees trimmed, and some hedges that also need to be trimmed back. Overall, the experience working with them was pretty straightforward and the pricing seemed to be on par with the other estimates we received. They came out to our house took pictures of the different trees/bushes/etc. and sent us an estimate based on what was discussed. It's worth mentioning that all of the services they provided were done so while my husband and I were NOT at home since we work full time, so all of our correspondence was done via email/phone. The work they did was exactly what we agreed upon, but my issue is the mess that was left on our property. Water bottles and food wrappers were strewn throughout the yard--thankfully I got to them before our dogs did. They also left a significant amount of debris behind, large limbs/branches just left around the yard, which my husband and I had to clear on our own. All in all, we are satisfied with their work, but were disappointed with the fact that trash and debris were left behind. read more

This is an outstanding company. They made my young trees look gorgeous and were gracious enough to take on a smaller job. I would call them again in a heartbeat. They are very responsive, on time, and move quickly. read more

I needed a arborist to look at my oak tree, when they told me they charge 150.00 to just show up I said no thanks. Then soon after a few days later arborist called to say on her way, I called back and explained I already canceled and never set appointment. She said ok sorry. Then today I get email that I owe 162.00 for services never rendered. I called and told them how does this happen when I have told them no on several occasions and she said she sees no service rendered but I told her send me proof I owe you nothing since their word means nothing and the left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. Hopefully they send proof or I'll have to continue to press this issue. Total incompetent idiots. read more

They did a great job at our house. Full pruning of all of our front yard trees. Carlos and his team were great. We had read a review that said they left water bottles behind and asked them to make sure they cleaned everything before heading out and they left the yard spotless! He was also very accommodating of our requests and very kind and helpful! Definitely recommend them!!! read more

They were very accommodating to my time frame. Quick response and their workers were friendly and hard working. Job well done

I could say "reliable" with less than five stars. I'm a reasonable person, and they weren't able to get here on Tuesday due to rain. They got here Friday instead. They were very thoughtful with their work and gave my oak a decent cutting with no little annoying branches hanging on my roof. The HOA says we're welcome to trim trees, because, frankly they've only cut this tree once or maybe twice in 7.5 years. It was happy from it's over abundance of rain! Now we're both happy since it's more like an umbrella now. I'm liking the tree trim and I'll get them back again in a couple of years. I'm only thankful my back yard doesn't have a tree to deal with because if so, the HOA would never trim that tree, it's all on YOU! read more

San Antonio Tree Surgeons - Oak tree - Tree Services Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Excellent service so far. Paul, their arborist came out properly. I requested a 100 gallon Live Oak to be planted in October. I will give you a further update at that time read more

The San Antonio Tree Surgeons team is truly wonderful, responsive, and professional. We have hired them twice already to trim our 40 live oak and cedar elm trees, and they have done a fantastic job each time. Delighted with these initial experiences, we hired them to install two crape myrtles in our backyard. Paul, the arborist, was there to answer our questions during the first visit and advise us regarding the planting season. Anna also did a wonderful job finding the best trees for us, and the entire crew worked hard to install our two beautiful trees, which exceeded our expectations! Throughout the process, communication was excellent, as Anna regularly kept me informed about the tree search, and Paul provided me with the best advice on tree care. We will definitely hire San Antonio Tree Surgeons again for any kind of tree-related work and have already recommended them to many of our neighbors. Thanks again for your business, San Antonio Tree Surgeons! read more

It would be nice to actually have been able to communicate with the staff that was doing the work. They trampled on my flower garden, cut the wrong branches, uprooted my hibiscus tree, took my wood that was suppose to be cut and stacked and tried to climb over my fence. I was VERY disappointed in the service I received. There was no oversite on the trimmers and no one came to make sure the job was done right. Then I had to ask for them to take the tree trimming that wasn't done off. Would not recommend. read more

I had contracted with this company to trim all my trees for $2000 back in May 2017. They trimmed way less than I was expecting and I told them so, but paid them anyway. I would have expected that $2000 worth of trimming would have at least filled their trailer once. They also forgot to trim one root that was to be included. I reminded them but they never did come back to complete. Since then the owner called me back to say that they had completed the work that was in the contract. read more

I still stand by my last review; however, they didn't follow up and I never got the deep root fertilization in the fall as promised. I would use them again for my tree needs, but just remember that you'll need to advocate for yourself and keep track of upcoming needs on your own. read more

Miranda and Jessica, your guys did a wonderful job of trimming our trees; in fact, the best I've ever had done and I wasn't even at home to tell them what to do. Will never use this company again. Visit by arborist went well. Gave me a quote for cutting down and thinning freeze damaged trees. When I approved their quote, the next message I got from them was they put me on their schedule and would do the work by March 25. Next thing I know I get a call on March 23 while I'm out running errands that the crew is at my house and wants to know where to park their trailer. When I arrive home 10 minutes later, the crew is already at work and no one speaks english. Coordination by office staff was nonexistent. Crew did good work. Too bad this company handles their business this way. read more

I'm changing my rating to 1 star because I had to call the Bexar County Sheriff because I was harassed by Brad today. He insisted that I remove my post. Brad called again and Officer DeLuna answered and identified himself. Brad said "Mind your own business" and continued contentiously. Officer DeLuna told him not to contact me any longer, or any of his affiliates. He further stated that cyber bulling is a crime. The Officer finally had to discontinue the call as Brad continued contentiously. 10 minutes later Brad called back again and Officer DeLuna answered again. Brad started by accusing him of being a fake Sheriff and continued contentiously. Finally, I used Davey Tree Service. They came out and did everything in 1 hour for $250. read more

The 3-star rating is **based solely on the price difference on an estimate in comparison to several other tree specialists estimates.** Plainly, it was overpriced by $600, and then $500 after I brought this to there attention. Brads response and customer service are *4 star. Jessica's proposal and estimate are professional and detailed. Although the estimate itself took 4 days for an actual response, after I inquired about it a few days after the estimate. *4 star. read more

My 75 ft Magnolia tree has lost a lot of leaves in this heat. I was at me witts end about what to do for it. I contacted SA TreeSurgeons and a Certified Arborist came to my home the next day. She gave me a plan of action to save the magnolia and gave it to me in writing the next day. I really appreciate her getting me on the right track with watering and fertilizing. What I paid for the one visit was very reasonable and worth every penny. There was no hard sell for additional services, just provided me the service I needed.
