He worked incredibly hard and did an amazing job trimming three horrendously overgrown trees, along with a smaller tree, transforming them into a clean, well-kept part of our home's appearance. Raul's dedication, honesty, and fair pricing truly stood out to us. He takes pride in his work, and the results exceeded our expectations. We appreciate the quality of service he provided and will be using Raul's services from now on. His pricing was very competitive with other tree services that we spoke with. Not only did they trim the trees, but they removed a large tree from the backyard and ground out the stump. It was a good-size project, but they showed up early and completed the job in a single day. Raul also gave us a competitive quote on rebuilding our deck and pergola. We recently moved in and the deck was a bit long in the tooth. The existing pergola had rotted and warped wood with nails that were pulling loose and exposed. One of the things my fiancee and I appreciated was that Raul came by the house several times beforehand. He discussed our project and took a lot of measurements. He was also very good about picking up supplies that I purchased at Lowes / Home Depot. We asked Raul and his team to remove the pergola and replace it with a brand-new structure that was structurally sound and capable of supporting an acrylic plastic covering. They were also able to build the new cover with a 10-inch drop, so that rain water runs off instead of pooling on top. They also power washed the deck and repainted everything so that it matches the house and looks brand-new. His team added an outdoor ceiling fan and replaced several additional pieces of rotted wood on the stairs and deck structure. It was a large project that Raul and his team finished in just over a week, including some last-minute extras that we added during the project. He and his team were extremely professional -- and very reliable -- throughout. Raul consistently made sure that we had a chance to provide input throughout the process. He clearly takes pride in his work and wanted to make sure that we were happy with the project. The end result is a fabulous, well-built covered area that greatly enhances the appearance and value of our home. My fiancee and I would not hesitate not hesitate to use The Great Tree again. Nor would would we hesitate to provide a work reference for Raul if he requested one.

Lawson…read moreEddy and his remarkable crew came to trim ten of our 100- to 200-year-old live oak trees about a year ago. We were especially impressed with Lawson's extensive knowledge on the subject of oak wilt and his attention to detail when sterilizing all of his equipment to prevent passing that disease along to our trees. He and his crew also made sure each cut was painted to help prevent it from attracting infected beetles. We were amazed by the speed and "choreography" of the crew as they worked in the canopies of the trees. These talented men seem to really love and enjoy what they do. They are not simply cutting limbs off trees, but instead, they seem to be sculpting as they work and creating pieces of art. We have received many compliments on the shape of our trees. Yesterday we noticed a 3 to 4 foot vertical crack in one of our oak trees due to recent high winds during a storm. We called Lawson about noon, and he was here within two hours to inspect the damaged tree. He presented us with several options. His objective was to save as much of this 200-year-old tree as possible by reducing the amount of weight and stress on the damaged area, and giving it time to heal itself. He and his crew of six men came today and carefully removed the limbs above the wound, artfully reshaped the tree, cleaned up, and even raked up a little pile of leaves from the lawn under the tree. They were finished in less than two hours, and the price was very reasonable especially since the branches they cut were hanging over our garage and had to be roped and brought down to the ground individually. We are so thankful that rather than just cutting down this beautiful old tree, Lawson found a way to save it. We cannot recommend Lawson Eddy and his crew at Texas Tree Service highly enough. They are warm and friendly professionals who are truly experts in their field. Mel and Linda

We came home from a weekend away to find a large hackberry tree had fallen in our side yard. The…read moreluckiest part about the whole ordeal was that the tree had fallen on our newly installed fence with metal posts, so it was cradled/suspended in the air, and therefore narrowly missed damaging our home or our neighbors home. I knew that this was not something I was going to be able to handle on my own due to the precarious way the tree was suspended and the tight space that the work would need to be done within. I called Lawson that day (it was a Saturday) and he was out to our property quick as a flash to assess the damage. He explained his process and promised that no additional damage would occur if he and his team were hired for the job. His price was fair, and he didn't push us to do an emergency weekend removal. He looked at the weather report and saw that the conditions would be fair and therefore he felt comfortable leaving the tree to be taken care of during normal business hours on Monday. We were the first call that day and I received a call when the work was starting as well as a call letting me know that it had been completed. Lawson even trimmed a low hanging branch off another tree that was obstructing our driveway for nothing additional. We have several more trees that need attention, and we plan to continue to use Lawson and his crew to take care of our property. He knows trees! We are happy customers and you will be too. -Mike Virga
