Red Engine Brewing Company is one of the best breweries in Ventura County. With so many choices in the county, that is saying a lot, I know. But their go-to beers like Low Viz and El Jefe are some of the best pours in the region. Their new brew, Big Red, is not for the lightweights. Its color and flavor bring out the best in microbrewing. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The Owners always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome when they are there. And let's not forget some of their themed nights. One of my favorites is the 5 Alarm Trivia. The hosts are local and are fun. They bring in the crowd with their personalities. If you find yourself in SoCal and in Ventura County, this is a must-stop for some great food and amazing brew.

Entering the establishment was a bit breathtaking. The interior is huge, so I had to stand still for a moment to do a 270° visual review. This place has a nice combination of modern style and historic charm. Erin greatest ass with a warm smile and was knowledgeable about the menu and the taps, making good recommendations. Our food came out of timely fashion, we have the chicken nachos and they were both visually appealing and delicious. We were there for a karaoke night with Steve Sharp and everyone see me having a fantastic time. The bathroom is where well designed and very clean. That was a small arcade area with good game options. Overall good experience and I highly recommend.

So happy I got to be here for country night, as a Line dance teacher and an avid country fan. I was so grateful to hang out and have all the fun around me. Was awesome. The dance floor was awesome. Everything was amazing and I had the meatball sandwich was off the charts! Thank you, thank you thank you Harvest Hosts!

First visit. Being a retired fire person myself, I was looking forward to the visit. We ordered chips, guacamole and salsa with an alcoholic beverage. 20 min wait for our order. Salsa and guacamole were very tasty but portion size was not enough for two people. Decorations were simple. Fire truck was pretty cool. A cool patch wall for visitors to show off their department and a few more tools on the walls would add some cool Features. We will return to try out the pizza and churros fries. Overall nice little addition to Fillmore.

I came here with my friends for cinco de Mayo as there was a car show going on that day. They have a big inside with plenty of tables and chairs to sit on, there's no outside but because there was a car show they let us bring our drinks outside in the designated area. They have digital menus to read the drinks, I liked how they had a handful of gluten free options so I got the POG kombucha on tap by Juneshine. It's so much better then in a can, I came back for a second one. They also served pizzas and chicken wings but unfortunately none of the pizzas were gluten free, which really is a bummer considering they have gf drinking options. Service was great, fast, they got through the lines as quickly as possible. They had two cashiers ringing people up on either ends of the bar. Everyone here was so nice and friendly!

Bold, vibrant, and packed with flavored foodie pizzas, salads, wings and other tasty things. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Jazmine was very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this place and you can play corn hole here. The beer flight was a true feast for the senses.

First time here. They carry beer of course, wine and seltzer drinks. Kid friendly, plenty of parking, customer service is great, pizza is delicious, live music, casual

Order at the bar and find a seat. Plenty of room. The barrata salad is good, but the flat bread that comes with it is excellent. The carnivore pizza is also great. Nice selection of beers both brewed here and guest brews. Well worth the visit

First time here (3/15/25). Stopped for lunch and kept it simple with a pepperoni pizza and picked up a case of beer, brewed in honor of old high school friend/LAPD who passed recently. It'll prob be all gone in a week or two. Pizza and beer are fantastic

Is this a pet friendly brewery?

The tasting room that we originally found didn't seem so lively and quiet. But found this place just randomly. Also, it always seems like majority of breweries tends to be in some kind of industrial area. Or is it just me. Anyhow, it's a cool place. All decked out with the green for St Paddy's day which they also had that weekend celebration. There was also a food vendor infront which we didn't get to try. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. A bar area with some seating and there was live music going on. Nice back covered patio area with games and fire pits. This place was a vibe, people lounging and playing games. Family with kids enjoying their weekend. The beer was great and priced well. Service was great and friendly staff. It's a ways for us to come to but it was worth us finding it. So whenever we're in the area again, it's a must to stop in for a pint or two.

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.

The brewery is super cute and cozy, with wood/black accents and a boutique shop in the corner featuring local artists. There is plenty of places to sit inside or outside or at the bar. The bartender helped me pick a beer, and it was happy hour, so I only spent $5 on my 16oz pour :) We shared the Krupuk and pickle plate. Krupuk = airy tapioca chips, melt-in-your-mouth or crispy, with two flavorful sauces. It was a pretty large bowl so great for sharing. The pickle plate was lovely, 4 types of pickled vegetables (cucumbers, red/white onions, and bell peppers) which went great with the krupuk. Great place to pass the time!

Everything tasted great, though I'd probably ordered the cider again. We also ordered food from Sama Sama, a serving of their Wagyu Beef Sando and Chicken Sando. Wait time was roughly 10 minutes and was surprisingly served with a side of prawn crackers. I kept thinking that the wagyu was incredibly easy to eat and was done before I knew. Their Sweet Sally is a very nice, simple seltzer to which customers can add a flavored syrup, but I enjoyed it plain. the 7.3% ABV was a perfect delight and refreshing on this warm SCV night. Plenty of room to hunker down, spread out, group tables for your 10 besties, or belly up to the bar. We brought grub from Capriotti's, others had The Stand, and others grabbed some tacos outside. I really enjoy the freedom of a simple brewhouse allowing food. I think it improves the casual hang vibe a LOT! The taco tent, and I suppose the other rotating food vendors, set up in the cul-de-sac, about 50 yards away, not right outside. JUST OUTSIDE is plenty of free parking.
