There's not really any good Chinese restaurants around this area and while I've been to Red Chili's before with mediocre experience, I decided to give it another chance today - and that's the start of my mistake. Red Chili's only offers takeout and the inside is blocked off with junky boxes and angry signs telling you to order ahead. When I got my food, I did not check the inside of the content before leaving (sore mistake) and was missing sauces/utensils/etc despite requesting them. Everything tastes bland and soggy - the lo mein noodles were like over ripe worms and the meat in the wonton soup tasted like it had been laying out for over a week. When I noted the above to the owner - like so many others have experienced from what I've read of other reviews, I was met with a head on attack from the owner's son. Needless to say, this was unfortunately a meal for the trash can and I will not be going back I would suggest others not to waste their money/time and potentially the same aggressive treatment I and others were met with.. beware, beware, beware read more

I've tried this place out several times, and I want to like it. It's convenient to my house, and I've tried several different menu items, hoping that I just kept ordering the wrong things. Last night I got shrimp egg foo young. It was an unusually long time to wait for a single dish (they estimated 25 min, and it took 10-15 longer than that). Why are they so slow? There was one family eating dinner in the restaurant, and the phone didn't ring the entire time that I was in there. So even though it was dinnertime on a Friday, I wouldn't say they were busy at all. When I got my food home, it was horribly overcooked. Cooking scrambled eggs or an omelet is not at all difficult. I've had this dish at many other places and I have never seen it like this. It's like the pan was too hot and they just went for it anyway. But seriously, that is embarrassing for a restaurant to package up burned food and send it home with a customer. A couple hours after I ate that small piece of the egg, I was horribly ill. Maybe they used expired eggs, bad shrimp, or both? But yikes! So I paid $10 for the not-so-pleasant experience of a couple bites of burned food and gastrointestinal distress from food poisoning. read more

This place is in my neighborhood so I often order take out. I usually oder the Singapore Noodles which are as good as it gets ( had them often in Hong Kong & other Asian cities & theirs are the "real deal" I assure you! I do get them extra spicy. This is the first place in this area that actually gets this dish correct!... have tried elsewhere & always disappointed!! Also, when i feel a bit under the weather I grab a quart of simple chicken broth with veggies ( lots of super fresh broccoli, snow peas ,etc & never over cooked or mushy!! This place is delicious! I never would of discovered it if we weren't staying at a hotel 5 mins away from where we were staying! Since we were starving, we got hot and spicy soup, moo shu, 2 large things of fried rice, and a lot of other stuff I can't remember... It seems as though this was a family owned place, so they had 2 daughters that were about 8 and 12 years old. They were the ones that took your order and got you to your table and such while the parents cooked. This family was the one of the most pleasant workers and people I've met in a restaurant, and the food was to die for! As for the looks and neatness, it's a 5/5! I can't tell you much about this part because it is what it is! When they had our order ready, (We were having takeout.) we gave them a tip of $20. (We know how hard it is to have a family owned business.) They were so thankful for the tip, that they were thanking us over and over again! Two times in a row now I've ordered a meal from the Chef's Specialties section only to find out it was not containing what I ordered. The little kids answer the phones and take your orders so complaining to them is pointless, they just say sorry over and over. Place is run by nice people. I'm not there to socialize though, I'm there to order food. Will go elsewhere after getting screwed a second time. read more

To all my local friends. There is this place called Red Chili's Hibachi near my mom's house. I went there to get soup for my wife (second time there). So, their food is Below average to average. In all honesty, there are no truly good Chinese restaurants or take-out places in the area so this place is no worse than the other places in the area. That being said because I wanted to give a fair review, this place has a code. On the outside of the place, they have signs asking to wear a mask and to call ahead at least 10 minutes in advance. I was working and didn't really have the means to call ahead. I also did not have a mask. I walked in and gave my order thinking the signs were old from when there was a mandate. They took my money and my order and asked if I can leave and come back in 10 minutes. I can back about, not exactly but about 10 minutes later. My order was not ready yet so I waited. The girl who was nice came out and said next time call ahead. I explained to her I was just passing by and did not have their phone number. The owner (I'm guessing) came out waving his arms and screaming at me "This place has a code, next time call ahead and wear a mask". So. everyone has the right to take their own risk and have their own point of view. He could have asked me to leave and not take my order or my money and I would have done so. But no one has the right to yell at a customer. I did not yell back and informed him that if he has a code, then he did not have to take my order or my money. I will never go back to this place under any circumstance. I hope they get closed down, no one should be treated the way I was. By the way, I downplayed the choice words he used, this man is not a nice guy. read more

Excellent Chinese. We have found or new go-to Asian place. I had the beef w/broccoli, my wife had General Tso's Chicken. Both were the dinner combos that came with a fresh tasting egg roll. The broccoli was especially good and cooked perfectly, ( i.e. not soggy). The beef was good too. Dee enjoyed her General Tso's, as well. Super friendly owner talked it up with me while I waited in his very clean establishment. Reasonably quick service although I walked in for takeout when the place was empty, so I don't know what happens when there's a crowd. read more

I live nearby and passed by here hundreds of times, but never stopped in. My mistake. It was quick, clean, friendly and inexpensive. The egg roll was delicious--better than most Chinese restaurants. Went here for the first time. Fast and friendly service. Large menu. In addition to typical Chinese dishes, also has Japanese and Thai dishes. My meal was good, but..... I had Kung Pao chicken. Lots of vegetables. Seemed very fresh. While it could be my fault, the food temperature was luke warm. I ordered and picked up in the restuarant and travel to my apartment was 5 minutes. I heated up the food in the microwave. I menioned I had Kung Pao chicken. Where's the chicken?! My order only had a few chunks. Today I entered this establishment alone and was seated for dinner. After my meal, my waitress ( who never checked on me at all) dropped off my check. I noticed small charge added to my bill because I chose to sit and eat in house. I asked her about this charge and was told that the manager implemented it. While I voiced my opinion to her by letting her know I personally did not support it, I would pay it but probably would not return. When I approached the counter to pay with my CC, the same employee commented that I had not opted to leave a tip on my CC slip and had asked why. To which I replied by letting her know that I normally leave the tip in cash. I ultimately left by leaving NO tip because of how offended I felt by her comments. She then pointed to the sign ( about 5 feet away from counter) from the manager, Mr. Liu which explains this extra charge for those who opt to dine in house. She then walked away. I then snapped a photo of the letter because I had planned at this point in addressing the manager. A male employee who was cooking, apparently was upset by this and he emerged from behind the counter and began shouting at me and dropped profane words by ordering me out immediately. ( at the time, there was but one other customer in the restaurant.) I immediately left and was absolutely shocked at the way that I was treated by both this male employee, as well as the waitress. In my 53 years I have never ever been treated poorly like this. While I believe its possible that a language barrier may have played a role, there is absolutely no reason why I was treated the way that I was. Tried this place for first time. Lunch combo Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce, just the right amount of spice. Lot's of chicken & vegetables. Also ordered gyoza which was all fried, my fault it does state that on the menu. Japanese gyoza is usually steamed then pan fried, but tasted ok. Went in with great expectations from all the good reviews. They were all met. Place is sparking clean and decor very nice. My son and I were the only ones there so service was great. I had shrimp with broccoli And wanton soup. Both excellent. Plenty of shrimp and broccoli tender but not overdone. My son had the general tsos chicken. Also very good. RCH has the best steamed dumplings of any Asian restaurant in the area. Theirs are a hybrid of Chinese and Japanese, thin like Japanese gyoza, but half moon shaped like Chinese. So good! Their wonton soup broth also has deeply developed flavor -we are addicted to it! The Singapore Mai Fun noodles are fantasic if you like curry, which we do (its actually more like an Indian curry flavor than Southeast Asian). My kids like their sesame chicken but its a little too typically sweet for my taste. Overall, its my favorite place for Asian takeout. read more

Not kid friendly. Restaurant was empty except for a single mid-60's woman ordering take-out. My wife and I ordered dinner for four (myself, wife, two kids). Before we even sat down the "cook" came and removed all condiments from our table...an immediate sign something was up. My children were hungry and talking loud (again, the place is always empty)...and that upset the cook. He came over and told us in broken English that our order was "to go" and that we can't eat there. Never got to taste the food; the only taste we got was the cook's attitude.
