    Chong Qing Spicy Chicken
    Richard T.

This is the most authentic Sichuan style restaurant in Lehigh Valley area. My favorites include Chong Qing spicy chicken, shredded beef with small peppers, double cooked pork, and spicy fish filet. Diners who emphasize on romantic atmosphere might find the ambiance too take-outish. There are simple booths and some tables, standard setup in family-styled Chinese fare that focus more on food and less on dining experience. However, if you are into late Anthony Boudain adventure in learning about different good, this would be a good, safe place to start. I hope there'll be increasing number of locals who will learn to, and acquire the palate to enjoy this good to keep the business going for a long time to come.

    U & Tea - Chicken Lo Mein

Simply amazing…read more.. While most people were indulging in Sunday brunch, my girlfriend wanted Chinese food. As we drove, she read the description for U & TEA and we knew we had to go. The place is clean with plenty of room and great lighting -- and the entire establishment is food focused. Our server helped with teas and plates and we placed our orders. My girlfriend got sweet and sour chicken for her main meal. It was obvious the food was fresh and the dish had been cooked in fresh oil (and only for a short amount of time). The sauce was delicate and subtle, which allowed the flavor of the tender chicken to shine through. And what a plate! She ended up having leftovers for two days. Although I normally order seafood, I love duck and have it once or twice a year. From the menu, their duck dishes looked fantastic. Our server recommended the Peking Duck, which I had always wanted to try. That dish brought Alice Gatsch with it. She is kind and engaging and introduced how I should properly eat Peking Duck. She walked be through the steps of how to prepare the buns with scallion, cilantro, and sauce. I wish I could convey how tender the duck was and how crispy the skin had been. It was incredible and I somehow cleared my plate (and didn't eat for the rest of the day). We cannot wait to return. Alice said she'd be happy to walk me through ordering a truly traditional meal and I look forward to that experience. The staff and food are too fantastic to pass up. I highly recommend you make a visit of your own!

I found the food at New China to be mediocre to poor. When I brought my take-out food home I found that the Chow Mein had no noodles. It just had lots of sprouts and other veggies. The veggies were okay, but I ordered a noodle dish and it came with no noodles. Yikes! My son ordered Orange Chicken and it was a bit mushy and the taste was unremarkable. There was "no crunch and no tang", my son said. The only redeeming thing I found it that the food is cooked to order and is ready in 5-10 minutes while you wait. However, there is no place to sit down so you have to take the food home or to your office to eat it. But then it gets cold by then which makes the flavor even more mediocre. Only go here if you are in a rush and don't have expectations in regards to taste.
