I've experienced Red Carpet's customer service at RN74 and Barolo in Seattle. The valets are always professional and gracious.

My room was clean and comfortable. There was some visible wear in places, particularly around the shower tile, but nothing that affected the stay. The in-room safe had no power, so I reported that. I also appreciated receiving daily housekeeping service, especially since some hotels now skip days unless you specifically request it. On my first day, someone from the hotel emailed to make sure everything was going well. I replied with a few suggestions, including the issue with the safe. I don't know whether every guest receives that outreach, but it was a thoughtful touch. The one real miss was room service. Ordering was handled through a QR code, but I received an error when I tried to submit my order. Rather than keep troubleshooting it, I used DoorDash instead. Would I stay here again? Yes. The room was clean, the staff treated me well, and the hotel worked nicely for a business trip in Seattle.

There was a lot of vehicle noise throughout the day, including in the middle of the night that would wake me up. Additionally, the website and booking says that coffee and tea are available in the lobby, but this was nowhere to be found. On to the positives, the reception staff were incredible, especially Ray. He told us how to get the Seattle City Pass which was an incredible deal, as well as let us know about the Sea-Tac spot saver at the airport. The hotel offers complimentary tickets to the Great Wheel. The hotel is on quite the incline, which gave us a workout since we mainly walked around the city!

Gorgeous new place on the block!!…read more Stunning new event space right in south lake union/ downtown with sweeping lake union views. Views alone were worth a trip or 4!! Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

We worked with Karmel as well as a flower vendor (Dirty Girl) and photographers (GSquared) whom Karmel recommended. Part of the reason we were drawn to this venue is because of the good works that they do with equine therapy and rescued farm animals. Our experience with the Barn was fantastic. We really hit it off with Karmel and she made planning the wedding fun and low stress. The vendors she recommended also did a great job and at the end of the day, are just good people. I feel like they all connected with us on a personal level. One fun perk this venue offered is for a small fee someone from the Barn takes guests out to meet some of the animals (chickens, goats, llamas, etc.) during the social hour before the reception. This was a lovely and charming way to start the celebration. I think that what we paid was fair for the service we received. The only snafu at the very end was having to pack our own stuff even though we paid extra for the clean-up service, but it was mostly just our personal belongings and it wasn't a big deal. There's always a little wedding drama - in this case our own guests, and the way that Karmel and vendors went about handling it to reduce the stress on us was beautifully done. They were respectful and discreet and we were incredibly grateful for their support. The space itself on the day of the wedding was absolutely stunning and everything was set up exactly as we had planned. It was a truly magical day and I'm so glad we chose the Barn to get married. I'd do it all over again. :)

TERRIBLE venue management under the guise of a beautiful space…read more In short, three months after signing with The Barn at Holly Farm we were told management would rather start a year of self-initiated renovations than honor their contract with us. Their decision not only affected us, but at least nine other couples who had booked weddings there too. For my fiancé and me, this left us with less than 7 months before the wedding date to find a new venue and re-plan our entire event. It took over a month for us to find a new space that could accommodate our wedding size indoors. To receive a full refund, we were expected to sign a document that stated we wouldn't make any comments which "may, directly or indirectly, disparage" The Barn at Holly Farm (obviously we did not accept those terms). It then took over a month to receive the funds for The Barn's breach of contract. I hope no other couple has to experience The Barn at Holly Farm's mismanagement and the nightmare experience they caused at least 10 couples in 2021!

A very special thank you to Linda Kress and Camila Ormachea, who were truly amazing throughout the entire process. They were incredibly supportive, patient, and easy to work with, always taking the time to answer our many questions and offering thoughtful ideas that made our day even better. Their guidance made the planning process feel smooth and stress-free. The food was delicious, and we received so many compliments from our guests about it. On the day of the event, all the staff were extremely attentive and detail-oriented, making sure everything ran perfectly. Overall, we had an excellent experience and could not be happier with our choice of venue. We highly recommend the World Trade Center for any special event.

We'd made our orders and when the person with the most severe restrictions (dairy, gluten, and soy free) send in her RSVP card, she noted these requirements. We were the first to arrive at the reception of all the guests, since I am one of the few locals attending and I knew how to get around the 'under construction' primary route that both host directions and GPS directions wanted attendees to take. We were warmly greeted. When we mentioned one of our party had dietary restrictions, they already knew and she spoke with the kitchen manager to be sure everything would be good. The staff was excellent in keeping everything on a timely manner. The food was excellent. I abstained from the bar items, but everyone else seemed to enjoy their beverages. Three appetizers were served, a vegetarian spring roll with mint that was really good, a chicken with satay sauce, and a BLT slider. All items were liked by the people who had them. Ours was a plated dinner, with bread on the table (warm with a salty crust - delicious!), starting with a nice salad with a vinaigrette dressing. We had a beef meal with yummy mashed potatoes (my daughter's favorite part of the dish), a crab cake crusted halibut (best fish my husband has had in our year+ out here in Seattle), and the vegetarian ravioli. A lemon sorbet was served to cleanse the palate between salad and entree course. So classy! I've had that before, but I think this is the only time in my adult life I've attended an event with it. There is a balcony outside the 4th floor room and it was very nice to go out there to get a break from the noise. Because of the size of the room, the number of guests (about 60) and the DJ, the room was rather loud. It also had some temperature issues. A couple of us at my table were quite cold, but someone else mentioned it was really warm over by their table. The view is stunning!

This allows you to really do want you want with the space! We chose to keep it pretty simple with just some floral centerpieces and it worked wonderfully. Peter and Karen were a joy to work with; they were excellent, quick communicators. As far as wedding/reception venues go in Seattle, this one was really well priced. Loved that tables/chairs/dishes/flatware were included in the price. The only things that may present slight issues are that there is no parking onsite (although lots of parking options close-by), and that the space is maxed out at 160 guests. We had 115 and I think it'd be too crowded to go much higher than that. There's also no elevator for older folks, but there's not too many stairs and they aren't very steep.

I'm from Indianapolis and most certainly have never had the opportunity to officiate a wedding at such a remarkable setting matched by stellar customer service and wonderful food. The entire event was exceptional from beginning to end. I will admit that I worried when my goddaughter announced her wedding would take place on the MV Skansonia - a retired Washington State ferry boat built in 1928 that has been beautifully refurbished and is permanently moored on Lake Union. I wanted to say to her "You do remember I'm in a wheelchair, right?" Of course, she did remember. While the MV Skansonia does have a small second level that is, in fact, not accessible, for this event it was primarily only used for dressing, etc. and I was able to fully participate in every aspect of the event from wedding rehearsal to ceremony to dinner to signing certificates and to the event closing dancing and social hours. I never struggled to get around and access to the boat has been made relatively easy with a wide ramp that goes up the venue (there is a bit of a steep lip - if you're not independent with a wheelchair, I recommend making sure you have some help). The set-up was beautifully arranged with Lake Union and the Seattle skyline in the background. Despite the challenges of holding an event on a ferry boat in record-breaking temps and the subsequent wedding outdoors on said ship, the event team was friendly, professional, and pulled the event off quite wonderfully. The ship itself is beautiful. The food served was tremendous and dinner arrangements were efficient and effective. I loved the woman, whose name I am completely forgetting, who helped with the rehearsal and came armed with ideas, tips, and lots of positivity. We worried a little bit as during the rehearsal a nearby tugboat made a little more noise than expected, but the day of the wedding was perfection and we even had nearby boaters stopping to watch. The wedding set-up allowed for great views and photography. The follow-up events were nicely organized. The main floor served as an awesome dance floor, while the dinner area was beautifully set up with tables and a picturesque setting. The Skansonia offers an all-inclusive venue with food, drinks, tables, chairs linens, staff, a coordinator, and more! They also note that they have a dressing room, indoor event space, outdoor event space, reception area, wireless internet, accessibility, and a covered outdoor area just in case (This is Seattle, after all). I stayed at a hotel about a mile away and was able to travel down by wheelchair largely using the Burke-Gilman Trail. There are other restaurants and sites nearby, as well. I'd easily and enthusiastically recommend this team and this venue. While I'm from Indiana, if by some weird shot I ever get married again I'd think long and hard about going to Seattle because this is easily the best venue for a wedding I've officiated and it offers an array of services, room to party, and an entire atmosphere that screams out romance. The venue has deservedly won awards and this experience was definitely one of my favorite experiences while in Seattle.

Its rooftop terrace is available to the public whenever the center is not reserved, which is fairly often. Currently, there is construction along the steps and other parts, so it is unlikely to be rented. This is good for the peasants like us (insert cheesy grin). On a recent sunny Saturday, we ventured out to the Seattle waterfront to enjoy it before the cruise ship tourist season starts. Bell Harbor was one of the places that I want to finally visit. I was happy to see a sandwich board sign on the street indicating the terrace is open via the elevator. Despite the plentiful visitors along the rest of the waterfront, few seem to walk the extra steps northward to reach here. The labels in the elevator clearly marks level 5 to be the terrace.
