Stopped into Red Brick early on a Monday evening while "back home" in Baltimore for work. The pub is part of the "Avenue at White Marsh" shopping area, one of those faux-streetscape malls that have become increasingly popular in the 'burbs. Red Brick has survived and thrived for almost 25 years so they are doing something right. Red Brick features its own brews, with four "standards" (golden, English IPA, Irish stout, amber ale) always available plus other seasonals and rotating drafts. The standards are not too exotic so there's usually something to suit a non-craft beer drinker. I also tried the Big Gunpowder American pale (seasonal) during my visit and it was quite tasty. I had an order of boneless wings with Buffalo sauce which were good a blessed with just the right amount of kick. The portion was generous and clearly meant for sharing. The menu has the usual bar favorites but leans toward crab and seafood accents--this is Maryland, after all. Service (at the bar) was friendly but a little spotty. Red Brick is a fairly large establishment and it would appear they are facing the same post-COVID personnel challenges afflicting most of industry. Two bartenders for a large bar (plus pouring drinks for table service) seemed to be almost maxed. Bartenders were doing their best. Parking in the "Avenue" area is always a nightmare. You are warned! Despite that, Red Brick Station has long been a reliable choice for a fresh craft beer and good food. read more

Service: 5.8/10 - They took a little time to seat me (it was barely anybody in here for some reason). Additionally, they take a while before actually asking you for my order. By the time they came to ask for what drinks I wanted I was ready to order. Waited literally over 30 minutes to get my food. Wings: 6.7/10 - Wings were super COLD for some odd reason. The flavor was pretty good but the temp was off Maryland seafood pasta: 9/10 - pasta was actually really good. Presented well, was nice and hot and it's a pretty nice portion (and I eat a lot) Caesar salad: 9.5/10 - pretty good but how can you mess up a salad ? Would I come back ? One of my all time favorite places! My husband and I have been going here since the day we met. We are both part of the mug club and tey to get there as often as we can. We used to live a lot closer and be in there weekly. All of their appetizers are awesome. The Frank's rubbed wings and the onions rings are the top two favorites. All of the beer is delicious but we favor the IPA and even order kegs of it sometimes. The service is always top notch. read more

Yummy in my tummy. My husband and I dined here for lunch on a Monday. We sat at the bar and it wasn't crowded at all. I was dying to try the Fall Mimosa and I'm glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. It tasted just like Fall--apples, cider, and sweet treats packed into one drink. This was a quick lunch stop on our way from northern Virginia to Newark Airport for a flight. The White Marsh shopping area has several restaurants. We tried this one, and I was not impressed. Besides being dirty the service was spotty at best. When the young waiter came over he was pleasant, but then he'd disappear for quite awhile. Of course, the salad orders were wrong, but due to time constraints to get back on the road, we ate what we were served. My friend selected this restaurant but it wouldn't have been the one I picked when we were visiting from out of town. I knocked off one star because the service was not great. Let's be honest here from taking a star away for service it was pretty awful. I knocked off an additional star because it was completely unoriginal and very underwhelming. I understand that some people really like I tried and true place. But even their menu lackluster. I ended up ordering a buffalo chicken and my friend got a turkey burger, we both shared the pretzel appetizer. Found this restaurant while up at White Marsh, it reminded me of a Cracker Barrel with much more flair. Our waitress was really nice and gave genuine opinions on the menu items which I greatly appreciate. Our food was typical American food-- salads, sandwiches and seafood. Came back to another sit down, and this time I came for the $1 beer night. Freaking OMG the brewed beer was good. I enjoyed the stout and the ale but I got a taste of the Cask Conditioned Winter beer, it was loud so I did not hear the name, but it reminded me of a nutmeg sweetened concoction of cinnamon and spice with a raisin and brown sugar finish. If you've never tried it, it takes time to prep your palate for a warm beer so likely you won't like it, but it is yummy. It excites me. Meanwhile the plate of Hummus did me well. This place is another 4.5 in my book, but my wife gave it a lower 3.9. So 4 again. This time though, I will be back to enjoy the cask conditioning drinks. Thanks read more

Wait: None on either time we went this day. I went in the afternoon with the friend after our puppy play date. Then we went back with the guys and some others in tow. Server: Both servers were really nice. The afternoon waitress was more so able to play with the puppies than the evening one. We had a 15+ top in the evening so she was busy busy. Food Quality& Order: The food quality was fine. It's just simple Maryland bar like food. Sweet potato fries are good. Crab tots were awesome. Lol I would say if you're in the mood to hang or grab a drink in the White Marsh area, head here. Atmosphere& Decor: I only like the outside. The inside is a bit too stuffy for me. So I am writing this review with my kids and myself and my husband in mind. As a black family living in White Marsh for many, many years, we've come to enjoy all of the options in entertainment and dining as a family. Places are convenient and close to home so we are regulars at many or the establishments. Red Brick Station is one place however that I really hadn't tapped into much but this was my third visit and I must say it will most certainly be my last. Here's why.... My husband suggested we go for the beer special on Tuesday so I was game. We got there and ordered beers and food and then another bartender joined the fray and changed the whole vibe. This person clearly has a problem with engaging black people. He asked every person on either side of us if they needed anything repeatedly but never once asked the same of us. I mentioned it to my husband hoping I was wrong but we watched and he continued to do the same thing by completely ignoring us. Really ignorant and disgusting and I will tell my kids and their friends and all of my friends and family to keep your money away from this place for this reason. I'll be dammed if I go anywhere to spend my hard earned dollars to be ignored by someone who is clearly bothered by the presence of black people. We were the only black people at the bar by the way so it stuck out even more that this individual deliberately ignored us. There are too many options that we can spend our money on on the area that makes us feel welcomed so that is where I will continue to go. read more

This is the second time in a month my boyfriend and I have been to red brick with horrible service. First time we were there it took a long time to get greeted. It was during a Monday morning. Our server walked up with EarPods in and seemed to be talking on the phone, while she was working.... Which we thought was really rude and unprofessional. We were sat near the hostess stand and could hear conversations from the servers that weren't really appropriate. Second time we came in, we were seated in the dining room ... again and no one came up to us. A bunch of servers were sitting in a booth eating and on their phones. I had to walk up to the hostess stand to get served. After we got served our food, we needed refills and some other odds and ends, we found our server still sitting in the same booth, eating and on her phone. No one came to check on us until we were done eating our food. We will not be coming back, even though we've enjoyed this establishment for years. You need to tell your servers to actually wait on their tables instead of sitting around where customers can see and hear them. The service here has been going down hill for a long time. Servers on their phones, sitting around eating in front of customers, we have even witnessed servers arguing with each other. But this was the last time we will be coming as i have worked in the industry in the past and if the management can't control their staff, then the problem will not get better. read more

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch last Tuesday. Our Red Brick Burgers were cooked to perfection, and we liked that you now put the fries in a separate metal container to keep them from getting soggy. Of course, the $1 Daily Crisis brews were outstanding, but the best thing about our experience was our wonderful server, Erica. She was very nice, perky and attentive and really made out day. The food is very mediocre to say the least. Great beer but the food is a little bit of work. I have been here several times with my family and have found nothing on the menu that impresses me at all. The only thing that I liked was the Katie's powerhouse wrap and they stopped selling it along time ago, the burgers looked decent but I've never tried them from now on. I'll just stick to the burger menu. Their wings used to be good but they have been slacking lately. I'm not sure what's going on. Yeah atmosphere is OK. Back here on a Tuesday! Supporting non chains. Fish and chips was delicious as always. Staff was nice and attentive. Upgraded to 4 stars as it's the hometown bar, beers are good and food is excellent. FYI: Wanting $1 beers on Tues as it was the way to go but since of COVID-19, this establishment cannot do $1 beers until the state lifts everything to full capacity. Hoping it comes back but didn't mind paying a bit more to have some hometown craft brews. Would not mind seeing all drafts on specials but it's a business and they need revenue to survive. No complaints though as the beers were flowing and delicious! Well worth the trip and will be back!! read more

From the time we "started" to arrive, the young ladies at the hostess desk were not just pleasant, but accommodating. . .I can't say enough about our server, Mateo! Pleasant, nothing was too much and took care of our every need and for a family of a few generations there were more than average. Sitting outside was very nice on a summer evening. I got the Greek salad with chicken and it was delicious and fresh tasting and my boyfriend got the Ruben sandwich that he enjoyed. My boyfriend also got a flight of beer and there were a rang of flavors but none really super standoutish but good nonetheless. Server was nice and atmosphere was good. My wife and I stopped in on Saturday, 3/25/23 after having lunch at Bar Louie to continue the afternoon at 2:00 pm. We landed at the bar and sat there for 15 minutes. The bartender made eye contact three times and completely ignored us - bar was not full but he was more interested in goofing off. Never came down to our end of the bar. Moron! I wasn't driving. and was going to spend major $$! We left. Went past the hostess station and they're all on their phones. Not that has anything to do with bar service- it just has everything to do with service philosophy. Hey management! No cell phones during working hours! Never again. You suck and lost $$. It is time for me to re-review Red Brick, because since my previous review I've probably been there another dozen times and have always enjoyed great food and great beer! What hasn't changed is I am still mainly here on Tuesday's because if you lived a mile away from this restaurant and they had dollar beer Tuesday's you would probably be there every Tuesday too! What makes it even better is their beer is also very good. My personal favorite is the daily crisis IPA but I also loveee their seasonal blueberry ale. Food wise you can expect typical bar fare, but it is always very good. Any of their sandwiches are normally a good bet. I'm a sucker for mozzarella sticks and theirs are great. I recently tried the fish and chips (based on a friend always raving about them) and they were very good! Maybe a new favorite. read more

I ordered the Battered chicken tenders with fries & onion rings as an app. The onion rings were fine & crispy. On an avenue that's constantly changing, Red Brick is the constant. It's been there longer than any of the others and there's a reason for that. Years ago I wasn't big on Red Brick as I've gotten older I have come to appreciate it. My favorite house brew is the avenue ale and I love their crushes! For $20 you can order a Goliath crab pretzel that will literally feed 4 people to full. Offerings are plentiful and the atmosphere feels like a friendly neighborhood bar. Went to this location for dinner last night. The food was horrible and the restaurant was filthy dirty. The only good things were location and our server. Our food came out and the fries were cold. I ordered the fish and chips and the inside was under cooked and mushy. I sent my food back and opted for an alternative. Also when we sat down I noticed an inch think of dust and dirt along the top of the booths, the menus were dirty, and the rooms where they brew the beer were also dirty. The plastic partitions between the booths weren't clean either. I will not return or recommend this restaurant. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. The police were called over an issue about FOOD. The server was amazing, but the higher up's in the company were not. They were rude and unethical regarding the fact that my food was majorly undercooked and I did not want to pay for it. Instead of coming to a peaceful resolution one of the associates of the restaurant walked a police officer over to our table as we were paying our bill introduced a police officer as his friend, with a snotty attitude. I have nothing but a disgrace for the higher ups in this restaurant. Red Brick Station has some of the best drinks on The Avenue. The happy hour is always bustling and the $5 drinks are worth it. I really like Beyond Veggie Burger and it's reasonably priced for $12. The outdoor seating is beautiful and gives a nice view of The Avenue. And the servers are always super sweet. I love coming back for the strawberry lemonade crush. I would recommend Red Brick Station to anyone looking for a yummy yet affordable meal and drinks. read more

Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to come here since 2002. I was sitting here reminiscing and thought about when I used to go here when I was young.
