The employee -- who I was told is the one who provides pricing on this type of service -- met me in front, inspected my car, and stated it would be $300 and that I would simply need to wash the car before dropping it off. When I returned about 6 weeks later to schedule (I was waking on a backordered windshield replacement), the office manager stated that the other employee was on a phone call and that she would send me an email (I explained fully my previous visit.) Curiously, it was now $400. When I asked for an explanation of the price increase, she stated (over emails) that the other employee had merely provided an estimate. However, he had never stated that it was a ballpark estimate. I question their honesty and integrity after this exchange. I won't ever do business there.

The way he runs that business, trains his team no just in the craft, but in how to treat customers, -- you could write an HBS case study on this guy. Most of the jobs were for full PPF + ceramic coating of new vehicles, but they've also performed a couple of non-PPF paint correction, detailing, and ceramic coating work on well-used vehicles not eligible for PPF. In all cases, California Detailing produced fantastic results that made the new cars look better than they were at dealer delivery and the well-used vehicles look as close to new as possible. For vehicles that we've subsequently sold, California Detailing's attentive work helped protect their resale value. Even when we don't have big jobs pending, we drop by their shop a few times a year for installation inspections and touch-ups (no charge during PPF or ceramic coating warranty period). In addition to being skilled professionals, California Detailing also have great customer service that easily makes my family and me feel at home during our visits. Full discloser, I tried to do it myself and it was a gluey mess I was not willing to take on. Thankfully they agreed and got me an appointment within a few days. Just picked the car up and I am very happy with the work that Karim put in. No residue anywhere, no damage to the paint or plastic trim. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work that I know this removal job took. 10/10 would recommend - They clearly (no pun intended) care about the cars they are working on and the clients.
