We've been going to this bike shop for years because it's the only option in our neighborhood, but…read moreunfortunately the experience seems to get worse with each visit. The customer service is consistently disappointing. Staff rarely makes eye contact, there is little to no acknowledgment when customers enter the store, and basic courtesies such as greeting customers or providing updates on wait times are completely absent. It is extremely inefficient and disorganized. What makes the experience particularly frustrating is that there can be only a couple of customers in the store while several employees are on the floor, yet it can still take 30 minutes to an hour just to get someone's attention or speak with a staff member. During these waits, there is often no communication, no indication of who is being helped next, and no confirmation that anyone will be assisting you. As a family that loves biking and has invested a lot of time and money on our bikes, it's so frustrating to get it serviced at this location and will be looking at going elsewhere.

I've been cycling for over 30 years and Peter and his mechanic are the easiest guys to talk to. I never felt pressured to buy a bike, but when I made the decision to buy Peter gave me a great deal. The bike was ready when he said it would be and his mechanic fit the bike to match my body. My new bike has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to many more years of cycling enjoyment.

I ended up coming to Van de Velo after I was turned away from another bike shop because they didn't have the tube that I needed.  Since I was already out and had my bike with me, I decided to head here after confirming they had a tube. On their website, appointments are required, but I was happy they had time to accommodate me. Solved my issue at a reasonable rate, so I'm happy!  I was afraid that I'd hafta head to a park and take a walk, but I literally waited 10mins for the repair.  Good as new! I had the person change my roadbike's chain and adjust gears and he only took $30 bucks. You may think if the bike mechanic isn't charging much, he is probably not a professional. But that's not the case either, he has actually taken courses in bike repair (building wheel etc) and knows his shit. My gears have never shifted this better, he also fixed my breaks and adjusted the rear deraiuler, "I saw your derailuer was bent and your breaks were kinda misalligned, i fixed them too". This bike shop definitely needs some more love.

In the past I'd gone to Sweet Pete's and Matteo's mobile bike repair service, which were both great as well, but for the service and value I got at Mojo, I now will stick with Mojo even if it's a bit more of a trek. My bike was already in decent shape but they made it ride much more smoothly in higher gears. Plus, they installed my new pedals that I had bought but couldn't install myself without a pedal wrench AND, proactively, they fixed up my kickstand (that I installed myself, wonkily, I must say) and my bell that was a bit off kilter. Friendly staff and fast turn around time too with the spring rush, got my bike back within 24 hours. I highly recommend this bike shop for your bike repair needs!

I am a proud Fauxleton owner which means I purchased a used spin bike and use it in conjunction with the Peloton app (DM me about this because it's a great hack for someone how wants to be part of the Pelo Fam without the hefty price tag!). The bike I purchased came with cage pedals which means you can use regular running shoes that slide in to a cage to keep your feet in place. Now for someone with minimal spinning experience, this was fine for me at first. But as I did more research on the benefits of spin and started taking it more seriously, I determined it was time to upgrade the pedals to clip ins. I am lucky to have a friend that was able to recommend not only Cyclepath but also the specific pedals I needed. I wanted dual SPD's so that I could clip in on one side, but that someone without cleats could use the bike on the other side. Cyclepath has developed an online shopping experience during COVID and offered curbside pick up. The pedals were in stock, and comparably at a decent price. I ordered them online and they were ready for pickup a few days later. The pedals were exactly as described, easy to install, and have worked wonderfully for me! I hope to shop inside Cyclepath one day and get lost in all things cycling.
