I was excited to try out Red Apple Cafe and they did not disappoint! Service was great, and they were bumping on this Saturday morning for our party of 11. The staff were so nice and helpful. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our breakfast. I learned that there is a room and if it's available you can make a reservation for your group. I am so thankful (as I am from out of town) to have had such a nice breakfast out with family, relaxing, great prices, and great service! Thank you!!

This was our first visit here. We made a reservation for a party of 12. The team did a nice job of accommodating our party in a side room. This facility is a little dated in appearance though the place is clean. The host and waitress staff hustle to get you seated and served. The waitress was very friendly and did her best to serve our large group - well done! For lunch I had the tenderloin dinner. This is apparently very different from the tenderloin sandwich. The dinner came with two sides. I choose the Cole slaw and side salad. The Cole slaw was very good - nice and fresh and creamy. Definitely recommend. The salad was a nice size and very fresh as well. It had a nice compliment of side vegetables along with the lettuce base. It also had a nice amount of shredded cheese on top. The honey mustard dressing was probably purchased as it was thick, dark and a bit tart. It didn't pour very easily on the salad. The tenderloin was very good. It was moderately thin without being beat to thin. The breading was also moderately thick without being too thick. The breading was not overly greasy and had a small amount of flavor/spice. The waitress warned me that the tenderloin came with a brown gravy - not what I was expecting. I said no to that. I asked for the regular type of toppings - all of which were fresh and ample for the size of patty. They don't have horseradish - a little odd for a tenderloin. The dinner also did not come with a bun - odd again. Red Apple does some things nicely. It appears that they do a strong breakfast business. Give them a try!

Nights special.... Homemade stew with side salad. It was amazing.

My favorite place for breakfast/brunch in Muncie. The food, service, and prices are great! The skillet breakfasts are my favorite!

The food was good, it took awhile to get it though. The service could have been better as well.

The restaurant was a lot more kitschy than I was expecting, which I loved. Our waitress had a wonderful energy. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had several unique items. I ordered a Scottish soda called IRN BRU. I love trying food and drinks from around the world. It tasted like an Orange Crush soda. Our waitress said they were known for their Cauliflower soup. It was cold outside so soup sounded perfect. I also got a pepper jack grilled cheese. The soup came in a huge bowl. The combo of the soup and grilled cheese was very filling. My friends ordered the sticky pudding. I had a bite and it was delicious. I cant believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I throughly enjoyed it and cant wait for my next road trip.

In fact it is my favorite restaurant of all time. Sunday we stopped again. I had the British chicken curry and the fatoush. It was amazing as usual. That fatoush is so refreshing! My wife had the pork chop which comes with these amazing mashed potatoes with mustard seasoning that will blow your mind. She can never finish because it's so much food, which is OK with me because I help her out some. My favorite way to eat this is to mix a little mashed potato, mustard and pork chop together into one delicious bite. We were too full for dessert, but the times that we had the dessert here were spectacular as well. Thank you to all the people that work at Paynes, please don't change anything, you are the best!
