We signed up for a monthly cleaning service from Lucie's. They came to our house twice and did an…read moreok job cleaning, nothing particularly good or bad compared to other cleaning services we've used. My fiance and I are on the "goth" side and very nerdy and decorate our house with lots of little rocks and things we buy at oddity expos and books and decorations from all different religions and mythologies. We're not religious ourselves, but we have a sort of witchy "every day is Halloween" aesthetic. The first time they came out they dropped and broke a geode slice that was on a shelf. We didn't find out until later when we got a text from the office manager about it. It would have been nice if they had let us know while they were here. We had told them up front to not bother with dusting all of the little trinkets and items we have on shelves because there's a lot and some of them are fragile. They offered to discount our bill the amount the geode cost, but then they apparently forgot and didn't do that. The second time they sent out a completely different cleaning crew so we had to show them around the house all over again and explain where everything was. They cleaned and left, again did an ok job, nothing particularly good or bad. Then we got an email saying that they wouldn't be back to clean for us. The reason they gave was that their cleaners are all Catholic or Christian and felt uncomfortable in our home. I wish their website said up front that they discriminate and we would have chosen a different business in the first place.

How a company can THROW AWAY A CHILD'S ARTWORK and other PERSONAL BELONGINGS is really beyond my comprehension. None of the items listed above could in anyway be confused for trash. It was just cruel to do that to my children and really inexcusable. That's really all that needs to be said, but I also want to mention that they felt they had the right to redecorate my house. They moved items from room to room (ex: the kleenex in the bathroom was in the kitchen, the flashlight under the sink was on my stack of papers, my plants were moved, my children's toys were moved from the kitchen to the playroom and vice versa, the puppet theater was moved from the living room to the front hallway.... it goes on and on; completely unnecessary and inappropriate). It took me 1/2 hour to put everything back in its place.

The cleaning team will then try to slip out a door quietly leaving without checking in to see if you are happy. There is also NEVER a team member who speaks English on the cleaning team. So it is always very hard to communicate on the day of the cleaning appointment. When brought to the attention of a co-owner said co-owner will gaslight you with a fake order form and insinuate you are not being honest about what you ordered and PAID for in advance!! Pictures attached to support my claims of gaslighting and the poor cleaning. I will agree the co-owner wanted to send the team back to fix a bad clean job however as you see in his gaslighting email, he still insinuates I didn't order and pay for additional services that were not rendered. Thank goodness I still had my original confirmation of what was ordered and paid for. I don't know about you, but I refuse to allow people in my home who insinuate I'm lying. After actually doing their research they DID find I actually ordered and PAID for services not rendered. Maybe they should have researched first and not insinuate. That would have saved a client and this BAD review!! We had paid $370 for the cleaning. Pictures attached show they couldn't even dust properly. The house still needs cleaning after they left. I only requested to be refunded for the services I paid for that were not rendered. The co-owner on his own accord ended up refunding the entire cost and then whined to me about how his workers did actually work. Well then Josue don't refund the whole amount. Nobody asked you to do that and then play poor me. I don't know what's gone on with this company but we are DONE and we can no longer support or refer to Ana's Cleaning. Edit to add after Ana's reply: We didn't fire you because of 1 cleaning mistake. Though we found the cleaning to be done very poorly. We fired you because your business partner choose to not believe a client (who was correct by the way) and expressed that in a way that came across as insinuating that I was wrong. Instead of doing the right thing first and INVESTIGATING what exactly happened. That's why we fired you and that's why we are leaving a bad review. Josue needs to be retrained on client customer service.
