Last October, I called Rebath to come look at a shower redo because the one we had was leaking. I was given a price that seemed very high but they seemed so professional, that I just assumed they were giving me a fair price. So, I wrote a check for the down payment $7500. That was for a little over half the cost. Being a woman, I thought since they were a professional company that they probably had base prices and and would not take advantage. A few weeks later, my husband and son-in-law passed away. As you can imagine, it was a horrid time. My young grandchildren lost their Dad and their Grandfather. Just a few weeks after that my 6 year old granddaughter became very ill. Long story short- they found black mold in the house they were buying. They had to move in with me immediately, leaving all of their things behind until they could be cleaned. I say all this so maybe you can understand why Rebath was the last thing on my mind. But I did call their representative and tell them to cancel the project. Materials had not been ordered yet so I was promised a refund. That refund never came. Rebath is a franchise and they sold it to someone else. Seems I cancelled in the middle of the transfer. I don't know at this point if I will ever see that money again. They say, when I called that they would look for the paperwork and call me back. They never did and now my phone calls go straight to voicemail.I promise I was very cordial on the phone. lol If they can do that to someone who is going thru an awful situation, I can't imagine what advantage they will take of someone else. I am not looking for sympathy because we are getting thru this with God's help. Just wanted to let people know the lack of morals this franchise has, so no one else will be bamboozled. Watch out for con-artists. read more
