However, when I called them to come and install a carport at my mom's house next door, they were very quick to take my deposit. The very next day we found out that my uncle on the other side of the country is on his deathbed. I subsequently called my rep to advise that we were going to have to cancel the installation because we need to use that money to fly the family out there to see my uncle before he passes. I was told that my deposit is nonrefundable, even though it was not mentioned verbally to me. It was apparently on the document that I signed, but obviously I didn't read every single fine print and it was not mentioned to me verbally. I am being told that the best they can do is hold a deposit for any future install. This is ridiculous to say the least. A death in the family is a pretty good excuse and this heartless company is holding onto the $400 deposit as if they had started actually working on the account. This was a day after the visit so they didn't even start cutting metal or anything. And oh yeah, not to mention, my mother is recently widowed, 87 years old, and relies on Social Security for her income. The manager that was supposed to call me back three days ago has not bothered to call me to discuss this at all. I am disinclined to ever use them again, and if anyone ever asks me about this company, I will gladly share this.

Used them to install countertops in my house. Was billed, and paid, for 4 slabs of materials. House…read moreonly held 3 slabs, so was left with a $2400 slab of materials. Decided to allow them to do full height backsplash in kitchen and cover my fireplace to use up the extra materials. They never came to install the fireplace, kept my materials that I paid for, and I had to pay another company to finish their job. Would not recommend them for there lack of business ethics.

Installers tracked mud through my brand new flooring and then stated some of it was already there. No it was not! Counter tops are great and my sales person Jennifer was excellent, I just didn't care for the constant denial and the lack of common sense to put some boot covers on.

His tactics are suspect to say the least. I asked the roofing crew to properly brace the new rafters down to load bearing. They did not. Josh Doyle again let me down about getting someone to come and properly fix the issue and brace the rafters properly. I would never use this company again for these reasons

The other roofers missed this one. I needed new flashing around the fireplace chimney. It was no problem for them since they have a metal shop also. Our journey starts in approximately February of last year. We got a quote to get our roof…read moreprofessionally replaced and repaired. We decide our shingle and gutter colors and everything seemed great, planned and ready to go. This is during a supply shortage so we get delayed a month or so due to availability of shingles. Sure, no problem. The installation begins: the contractors arrive and seemed professional enough to know what they're doing and they get started ripping things off and replacing. First incident is my neighbor picks up a handful of nails that were left in the street after the first day of work. Unacceptable, but they responded respectively with my feedback. 2nd day into the work they let me know they underestimated the amount of shingles and need approximately $2,000 more including labor. We decline and but pay some pity because of it being a mistake. Here's the catch. We have to wait for more shingles, --for 3 months. All the while 4 different leaks developed with a half blue and half brown roof. Keep in mind, all of the communications with AVCO have been extremely delayed and they showed up multiple times without notice. They fix the leaks; repaint it and all. I accept it. And still being lenient. They continue the roof replacement and the blue shingles look amazing. Another 3 months go by with little communication on when the gutters will be installed and the pricing. The gutters get installed initially, completely incorrectly. At this point, the person who gave us our initial quote was 'fixing' his contractors work. The gutters continued to hold water and drain incorrectly. We come to find there is a sagging section of the roof that they should've contacted us regarding and at least given us the choice to get it repair or not. But no one ever spoke about it potentially being a problem. To this day we have yet to pay for the gutters as they still are left incorrectly done and still holding just a little bit of water, not to mention a corner being finished with the wrong type of leaf catcher because they ran out or got lazy. This is not a reliable company. They contract out there work to anyone who will do it for a low wage.
