I found out about Gary's from my neighbor who was very happy with the work that was done. The job they did for me took the good part of a day and I was very pleased. They were timely, professional and explained details of what they were doing. They went above and beyond expectations. Once the boards were removed they found some wood that needed replacing and reinforcing and they took care of it. There were no surprises such as extra charges. The estimate I was given is what I paid. For any future projects they will definitely be my top choice!

What was provided was changed, with two areas not even being covered, with decking that was clearly inadequate being reused, and being promised that everything would be fixed. Needless to say nothing was fixed, and the con worked. I am guessing that my agent was getting kickbacks because she would not step up and the Cable's rep promised the world, but delivered typical East Texas, Smith County, failure to accept responsibility or be honest. Here is an example of the quality of their work, and this is perhaps the best bit of it.. I was told repeatedly that this was the best that anyone offered... BS...

When I asked her to specify what was included in the estimate, she refused to do so and upon further questioning, she simply stated that they were not interested in the project. In other words, she blew me off. I asked her twice to have the representative Richard call me. She refused to respond. Not only did I waste an entire day on this effort but it is disappointing to realize that this business has devolved into the hands of an emotionally disturbed woman, at the least, if not lunatic.

Basically, he had very little actual skills and subcontracted out painting, countertops, tile, flooring and other work. So he had to wait in line for their availability just like anyone else. I had about 20% of change orders which I paid and gave him extra time to finish. I would go to the jobsite on a pretty day, no one there, even when he was a month behind schedule, after extra time for changes. When he was there, he would bring his infant baby (no place for a baby) and be gone in a few hours. He talks a big game about integrity and honesty but in the end, he quit the job and left me high and dry And won't respond. I have the texts and receipts to prove it. Don't do it.
