We had a difficult time knowing for sure when they were going to start. Once the work finally began they broke our gate and left it open. This allowed our dogs to get out. When we asked about the gate and damage to a gutter we were called liars. We received numerous profane and rude texts from them as well. Please take my advice and avoid dealing with these people. They are unprofessional at best. I have never been left with more bad feelings towards a contractor of service provider. 7/14/17 apparently we weren't the only ones to have issues with this company: BBB serving Central East Texas is alerting consumers about an East Texas roofing and construction business after several consumers filed complaints alleging the business did not complete projects, deliver materials, or refund their money. Complainants state they paid several thousand dollars for JW Roofing and Construction in Winona to begin their project, however, all claim the work was never started and were only given excuses as to why the work could not be done. BBB has reached out several times to Jerry Whitley, owner of JW Roofing and Construction, however, to this date BBB has not received a response. JW Roofing and Construction has an F rating on its BBB Business Profile which alerts consumers that the business has not responded to BBB.

All I can think is that they had concerns about doing work for him and it turns out they were correct. I asked a friend who is an insurance adjuster who he would recommend to me who is fair and honest. He gave me three names for bids and gave me Jerry Whitley's phone number. Our roof looks beautiful, no debris or nails anywhere to be found. I had several bad spots on my roof. He showed me the receipts for the material and charged me a very reasonable amount for the repairs. I am pleased with the work this company did, I know my roof is now solid and his crew was very courteous. I would recommend this company

I did this and then he told me he would take the job but couldn't give me the estimate. So basically he lied and wanted the video to see if the job was even worth his time. I have the text to prove he lied to me. These type of contractors give everyone a bad name. Too lazy to come out to my house to give an estimate but wanted me to video my whole house after I worked all day. I won't be using this app to find contractors anymore. Terrible company and rude!
