Eighteen months ago I bought a $1400 power lift recliner from Southside Furniture. Although the…read moresales and service was good at the point of sale, the customer service a year and a half later leaves much to be desired. 18 months from the date of delivery the power lift portion of the chair stuck in the up position and would not move. Although I knew it was out of the warranty on the parts I called to see if they could service the chair. I was told they no longer sold Mega Motion chairs and since they now sell mostly Ashley furniture they wouldn't/couldn't provide service. When I asked who they might recommend to service the chair they didn't know and couldn't help me. After a bit of researching I was able to order the part online from Ashley/Franklin furniture and will repair it myself by removing the two bolts and cotter pins that hold it in place and reconnecting the power cord. Needless to say, Southside has lost any future business from me.

Not only is this a piece of crap bed frame, the worst I've ever purchased, they will not replace it or refund my money under any circumstances. I bought this online and it said I was in stock when I ordered it and I waited over 6 weeks for it to arrive. Had I known it was such poor quality material and all sales are final with no replacements or refunds I would have never ever bought this bed. Southside Furniture is beyond the worst reatiler I have ever done business with and I am warning all to purchase from them only if u like to throw your money away on crap furniture with crap warranty.

The mattress set we purchased (and had to wait for) was not what was received, and when we called to complain, we were pretty much told "too bad, no refunds or exchanges " Customer service definitely disappeared the moment they got your money. The salesman was a very good liar and made you feel you were getting a great deal...no, you are getting screwed!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone...especially older people that are on a fixed income like we are...if I could give it a negative star I would...oh, by the way, the manager also wanted to charge us $100.00 to deliver the mattress set, (6 miles) but another employee offered to do it for $30.00. They do not offer delivery, they say it is to keep costs down, but once you get your purchase home, you find you have over paid for low quality merchandise!!!! Worst experience ever...I will be doing my future furniture shopping at Ivan Smith. It may cost more, but you are getting better quality and sooooo much better customer service and support. .
