I can't shop there anymore because they no longer carry men's jeans - but I used to love it and have many family members that do and they love it! Please sell men's jeans again! Anyway, I'm writing this review not only to share my pleasant experience, but also to comment on a disturbing review. Eli H's comment seems to be motivated by a desire to disparage women business owners. The review makes reference to the owner/operator's gender (calls her "Mrs. Businesswoman"). While there isn't necessarily anything disparaging about calling someone "Mrs. Businesswoman," it does immediately raise an eyebrow by its emphasis on gender. When you consider the fact that the specific comment was written as it's own sentence (for further emphasis), and that it exists only to point out the fact that the operator is a woman, rather than simply to address someone whose name is unknown to the writer - you can only conclude that the entire review is disingenuous, and likely just a reaction to the reviewer's personal views on women in business. This would be a violation of the Yelp content guidelines. If you read it and agree please report it as I have. read more

Eli- it is unfortunate that you did not have a good experience. It is more unfortunate that you wrote such a biased and unfair review of RE on yelp. I have nothing but good things to say about RE. The store owners boast decades of fashion expertise and they have always hand picked each piece of clothing for the store's inventory. They know their product, fashion trends, and their clients, and they (the owners) are lovely human beings. In fact, when my siblings and I lost our mother to cancer many many years ago, the owners took special care of us, giving us the best prices they could, caring for us as if we were their own. I'm sure their daughter, who works with them now, not only carries on this important legacy, but takes the same pride in her work and her customers! read more

Growing up in WB I've always been familiar with Rear Ends. I love that it's a family owned business. This past April I planned my father a birthday surprise party and needed/wanted a new dress. I probably searched on soo many websites and walked into a ton of stores in hopes to find something. I used to think Rear Ends wasn't really a place to find a dress for that type of affair.. I always assumed their stuff was more for during the day or something cute for a night out. Meanwhile afte all the searching I walked into Rear Ends... And BOOM... I found the perfect dress! I bought my first pair of Z Cavs here in 1991 and I've been shopping at Rear Ends ever since. I have lived in New York City for 13 years and I still work with the staff over the phone, FaceTime and an odd occasional visit. I haven't bought a pair of jeans anywhere else.....ever. I've been heavy and I've been thin and either way the staff at Rear Ends never let me leave without looking my best. They advise me re: which wash or color or distress level I should get for the season....and for my body. If Mark, Elaine and Ariana don't approve of my look, I don't buy it. They want me to feel confident and stylish and I trust them, even if they make fun of my aversion to patterns. read more

I've been shopping at Rear Ends for years and am a loyal customer (as is my family) - and there is a reason for it. The owner and employees are honest about every single item of clothing you put on, which is extremely important when it comes to denim! The store owner literally will say "your ass looks better in the second pair" or "let's try a different route" because they care that more about the way you're going to feel walking out the store, and the two weeks later, than just making the sale. If they do not think something works for you, they'll tell you. It's not about the sale--it's about making people feel good about what they are wearing. Great Service at REAR ENDS. I frequent this store often and am always pleased with the attentive service I recieve. Julie waited on me last time I was in the store, she was honest and told me what looked good or not. She gave me new things that I would not have thought of choosing. She exemplified what "customer service" is all about. Even gave me a follow up call on something I was looking for. As a 40+ y.o. mom, I noticed that the other moms looked awesome in their jeans, and I felt sloppy. When I asked where they were buying their jeans, the answer was a unanimous "Rear Ends". Every October I return to buy a pair at 20% off, and am never disappointed. They're not inexpensive, but for as much as I wear jeans, it's nice to feel like I've got it going on in my jeans. I bought jeans at rear ends many many years ago when they used to sell men's jeans. It was great then! Since then my wife and relatives and friends have shopped there regularly. It is still great!! It is a warm, inviting company that has always had great products, great staff, and been enjoyed by everyone in their community. Rear ends is a great local owned store. Wonderful merchandise and fabulous people work there. They are very honest about what looks good on you and what doesn't. They carry a wide assortment of contemporary clothes including AG, Paige, Hard Tail Bailey 44, Sanctuary, Ella Moss and many more. It's hard to walk in and not find many items to purchase. This is my favorite place to buy jeans - I've been coming here since high school! The jeans may be a bit pricey but the last for such a long time. The staff is always really nice and very helpful.
