11/16/2025 our 1st time in this location. I've shopped Kohls in MO, SoCal, N.CA, CT, FL and now here in MI as we've relocated due to employment with the Fed. This is a really nice store, nice and clean, well stocked and super friendly employees. They have a wonderful selection of everything from kitchen to bath to clothing, jewelry and more. They also have prices from $ to $$$$ to fit almost anyone's budget. Sometimes you may need to order online and sometimes you may need to wait a moment for Amazon returns or curbside pickup, that just means the retailer is popular and busy or perhaps just short staffed which seems to be the case in 2025 with EVERYONE. Is it just me or do some people have a sense of entitlement now days if one little thing doesn't go their way? Anyways, our experience today was well above satisfactory. We were wanting new cookware so we were heading to Sur la table to look for cookware and just pulled in here at Kohl's. We found just what we were looking for, nice well made, great quality ss cookware with a great warranty. We received a 20% discount plus we received $40.00 Kohls cash discount for our next purchase. Hopefully you will have the same shopping experience we did when you shop here. read more

Really a 3.5 stars, average for Kohl's - not enough clothes aimed at women who are the average for most of us, 14-18 size, in a classic style, especially pants with belt loops. While I had just a short wish list, I couldn't find a few items like cuddle duds tank tops and leggings in my size, I was able to order them later on line. I think they are depending more and more online sales instead of stocking the stores. I don't know how they make it because of how the sales, coupons, and Kohl's cash selling items so low unless they mark ups of at least 200-300 %. Lots of parking and other stores most likely to stop during a month, convenient location will keep me coming back when I need something and a good coupon. Clothes shopping is not as fun as the 1980s &1990s when you could find lots of choices in a style that was comfortable, more classic, and more choices on your size that you could take home and wear that night or next day. read more

Not sure why I've never reviewed this Kohl's before. It's the closest one to my boyfriend's house, and I've also been a few times previously over the years too. It's pretty average. I'd probably give it 4 stars except 1 time I did curbside pickup and it took a long time. Today we went to return some shorts that my boyfriend got and also I was looking at clothes and shoes. I also checked out the suitcase department because I was curious to see the selection ... Delta recently broke my suitcase but is providing a replacement. Overall, this is a nice store and I'm sure I'll be back at some point. read more

Makes it totally convenient that there is a Amazon return drop off in the back of the store. Even better that there was a Kohl's at the same location as where we're going to eat too. They always give us a 25% off coupon for any purchases, it's good for one week. I didn't have anything in particular I needed to buy or look for it today. Maybe I'll use within a week. read more

I have been a long-time Kohl's customer. In fact, I have attained the level of MVC (most valuable customer) due to the amount of money I charge at their stores. One of the benefits of being a MVC was free shipping without meeting their $35 minimum. I order most of my things online due to Covid. As of 2022, Kohl's must have changed their free shipping policy because with every order under $35, I'm charged shipping. I called the customer service and was told that this has always been their policy. When I explained that this had not been their policy in the past, one CSR actually laughed at me and said no. I even quoted the statement from Kohl's website that explains that free shipping is a MVC benefit. If free shipping isn't a benefit, why use their charge enough to be s MVC? I won't make Kohl's my go to store anymore. read more

As full disclosure I only shop at Kohl's for one thing and that is tennis shoes. Relative to Tennis Shoes they have a large selection with very low prices that are hard to beat. Their prices are even lower than what I can find on Amazon . The other thing to note are the Kohls cash you can earn where on a recent purchase I used a $10 off Kohls cash coupon on a pair of Nike Monarch tennis shoes that were already on sale for a fabulous price of $44 out the door. This shoe normally retails for $100 at many places. This is a deal that cannot be beat anywhere else but Kohls. read more

I had the worst experience at this orchard lake kohl's. And I will not go back again. I was returning some items from Amazon an the associate was barking instructions on how I should put the merchandise down on the counter because I might have brought covid from my home to the store!!!!! How rude anyway while the associate continues to bark I kept smiling because nobody will ever still my joy. Then the associate handed me the 25% off to shop in the store I just threw it away on my way out!!! Will not shop at that kohl's again!!! read more

I've been going to this Kohl's location for 3 years. I have seen how the associates work hard to keep the merchandise up to date and organized. Usually, I would spend $25 to get a $5 coupon. At the same time I earn points with the Kohl's Rewards. There are racks for clearance only (men's, women's, kiddies and home). I see brands like Vera Wang, JLo, Lee, Dockers, Nike, Adidas, Croft and Barrow, Sonoma, KitchenAid and many others. Sometimes I go to Kohl's online to check on what's on sale. If the item doesn't fit or does not look what I expected, I would go to this store to return and request a refund. No hassle return policy for up to a year. Check the back of the receipt just to be sure the information is up to date. If you're in a tight budget for your wardrobe, shoes, bags, kitchen tools, home accessories and kids stuff... So, Kohl's is to me what TJ Maxx is to so many of you...great finds, low prices, and unique gifts. The majority of the store is nearly always on sale, and if it's not on sale, you can almost always find a coupon in the Sunday paper. From candles, to paintings, to makeup, to clothing, to electronics, there's not much that Kohl's doesn't have. This location is well-staffed so the lines are usually pretty short. Also, it's well-maintained- translation, easy to browse and shop, and there's no ruffling through piles or racks. Great store! read more

I was a frequent customer at this location until today. A customer asked the lady manager a question and the manager rudely answered and yelled at the lady for no reason. I was in complete shock and couldn't believe it along with the 20 other people the witnessed the situation. I will def not be back. read more

Kohl's is a store everyone else but me has considerable luck with. Ladies in the office find the cutest shirts and steals on shoes, whereas I rarely seem to find the swishy circle skirts, pretty office tops, or accessories they do. They crow about Kohl's as a mecca for fashion and I seem to end up in the dungeons. That said, Kohl's is a bit of an experience in its own right. A fully fledged discount department store, it fills the niche between Target and TJ Maxx or Macy's. Several celebrity lines from Jennifer Lopez, Lauren Conrad, and Vera Wang round out the bulk of their juniors and on-trend offerings, while they carry a large range of conservative or "adult" lines that I associate with lounging on a gold course somewhere. Kohl's also now carries Rock and Republic jeans (which nosedived in quality when they acquired them), Candie's, and a teen section that looks like a Crayola factory exploded beside the Muppets and came up with some really strange attire. Name a department aside from automotive and they probably have it: shoes, housewares, toddlers, home goods, electronics, beauty, jewelry. The shoe section is a wreck most of the time, lots of mismatched shoes and boxes falling apart from being gone through. The housewares section, by comparison, is usually immaculate. I don't even bother with the junior's wear because the racks are so full. This Kohl's is usually better kept than other stores in the area but the fitting rooms need their own dedicated staff. 1. For security - I feel like none of these rooms are being checked, and anyone could get away with anything in there. I suspect shoplifting is common. 2. For cleanliness - They're a wreck, especially anywhere teenagers get near. Common to find 10-20 items thrown about by someone who couldn't exercise common courtesy to put them away. Don't expect to pay the price on the label unless it's clearance. Many sales are time dependent, and early bird/night owls get even greater discounts. If you aren't using a coupon or a Kohl's charge card to get a discount, you shouldn't be purchasing it. The website also doubles up on sales. If you are a regular, definitely consider signing up for their coupons or piggybacking on someone who has. Their generous returns policy often allows for price changes if you find something at a lower price after you purchased it within certain time frames. read more

The deals were great. The store was actually pretty clean but when I went to check out, the credit card machines didn't work. The teller told me, AFTER he rang everything up, that the only transactions working tonight were the Kohl's charge or cash. (Really pushing those Kohl's charges, huh?) Who carries over $100 in cash on them? It's Black Friday, the busiest night of the year, and your credit card machines don't work???? Luckily my mother had cash on her, but then she gave all her merchandise to the cashier because she didn't have any cash left to buy her items! So frustrating!!!! Perhaps this location has changed a bit, as I found it to be by far the best kohls I've ever been to. There are two kohls near my house (7 - middlebelt) and ( haggerty 8) and they can't hold a candle to this store. Clean, well organized, spacious areas to look through racks, far better selection of clothing , friendly service... Everything I look for in a shopping experience. I will drive the extra distance to visit this store. read more

I have never experienced some of the problems that other commenters have mentioned. Sometimes the lines are long to check out and the cashiers might seem slow. I think the problem is that they are ringing up sales with coupons, Kohl's cash, etc. that takes more time. But I have never experienced rudeness - just pack your patience when you go. I don't shop for everything at Kohl's, but they do carry a large selection of ladies underwear. And I have found some great bargains on their sales racks. read more

I made a phone call to the customer service to ask them about an exchange. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude. I asked her "if she was the one that hung up on me," and she blatantly lied to me face! I will never shop at this store again just for this reason alone. If your in customer service, you should always greet someone with a smile and be nice. I was appalled that this lady hung up on me before saying goodbye and then continued to be rude to me behind the counter. Disgusted! read more

I usually don't mind shopping for kids clothes at Kohls, but my most recent trip to the orchard lake Kohls left me extremely annoyed. I had gotten a 10$ off coupon in the mail, so I though I'd swing by and get the girls something from the clearance rack. Well, after digging through the clearance rack for an hour or so, we found something that would be useful for my oldest. Except, when I went to check out the cashier informed me that my coupon had already been redeemed that morning. What? I told her that couldn't be right because we just got here and haven't paid with the coupon yet. Well. She wasn't interested in figuring it out and they didn't credit me the $10. I was really annoyed because the ONLY reason I came in at all was to use the $10 coupon. What a waste of time. read more

HORRIBLE experience with their credit department. Make sure you watch them closely!!! They are crooks. I paid off entire bill of an entire $61 (lol) in Nov. Come December they allege that I only paid the minimum and slap me with a $25 late fee. Vi speak to the apathetic credit reps all the way in Phillipines (thanks to outsourcing) and the say that it's MY FAULT. Smh. Don't trust kohls!!!!! read more

Found out today that every Kohl's is basically an independent store... different pricing, different sales, different hours for starters. This became absolutely clear when the Orchard Lake Road store refused to even allow a return made at a different location... literally told me to return the item to the store I bought it from so the refund wouldn't effect the Orchard Lake Road store's sales numbers... seriously?!?! Besides being told to leave and drive 10 miles one way to the original purchase location, the Customer Service Supervisor was absolutely rude. I'd call her out by name, but no name tag was worn... all I can say is she was on duty tonight (10/22/20) near closing time and white. I hope that the West Bloomfield store management reads this review and starts to train their employees about what true customer service is, because it was really missing tonight. I will not be returning to this location, I'll drive further or just not bother to shop at Kohl's. I'll also warn others about this location, and its' customer policies... certainly NOT customer oriented. read more

Merchandise is very good value but customers do not put items back very nicely. Opened packages are haphazardly returned to tables and racks. More sales people needed to be of help to customers. Also I really dislike the Kohl's style of carts. They are extremely deep and not in good condition. Customers leave them all over the parking lot instead of returning them to a central location or inside the store. read more

Terrible experience with the cashier. I absolutely dread all the headache I have to go thru just to get things down to a normal price, and the rewards only are good for 30 days as opposed to other rewards from other stores like Gap, Pottery Barn, which give you plenty of time to get in to use the rewards. Calling the 1800 number to reissue the rewards was so very painful. It's just this all around circus of hoops to get to pay 30 dollars with a variety of discounts to manage for a pair of shoes that cost 50, but likely should have been 30 to begin with. I'd rather just shop somewhere else with friendlier workers where you don't have to negotiate down overpriced product. read more

The review for this particular store--AWESOME! The customer service is really helpful and do a really nice job. Last time I went, the customer service rep was helping an off duty employee, stopped what she was doing, and came and helped me, the customer. The cashiers are great-they try to have plenty on hand, even at odd hours. Rarely wait longer than a few minutes, often don't even wait. They do run out of items, so sizes can be tricky, but overall does a nice job. read more

My purse was stolen, and I had to cancel/replace all my credit cards of which Kohl's was one. Every credit card company said that the new card would arrive within 5-7 business days--one said that I would get it in one day. When I called Kohl's, I realized that the Customer Service call center must be located in Mexico. I could not understand Alonzo even though I politely asked him to speak more slowly. He then handed me off to Carlos whom I could not understand either. Eventually, I requested a supervisor who, though she had an accent, was easily understandable. But, here's the kicker--I should expect the new card in 2-4 weeks! What a way to do business. read more
